Looking to buy one for UK power blackouts. One of the few channels that demonstrates portable power in real life situations( not just flying drones and charging laptops).

Great video of the UK version. I have one and have it charging from my motorhome leisure battery that is being charged by solar panel on the roof. Using a leisure battery cigarette lighter output. Somehow the eb70 takes around 35watts on it's input as if it knows it is sharing the charging with the leisure battery. As the solar amps drops off the eb70 also draws less charge. This means that on a good bright day the leisure battery gets topped off first and the eb70 draws up any extra. It's alway best to use fossil fuel(LPG,butane,propane) to heat things up..But if I know the eb70 is full and good sunshine forecast then I will use an induction hob on it to cook on. Honestly a great upgrade to my mhome. I also use it to charge my 700wh ebike battery. Now that is solar energy used in an environmentally friendly way.

They aren't actually the stated amp his, no where near in fact.
They drain really fast under zero load of left on, its gutting - after a day of faffing around with moving the panels about to maximize sunshine - lovely to leave it on overnight and find out nearly dead!
I'm an EV driver so I have a nighttime tarrifwof 7.5p pkw from 12;30 through 4:30. I charge mine up then and use it in my home office (I 'work' from home) , lasts most of the day!

Have you tried using it while charging, like, 24/7? Do you think it is possible and won't damage the bluetti eb70?
Hi Choi - this is a very important question, and I'm sorry but I have not done that kind of testing because I don't want to damage the unit. My opinion is that when the power pack reaches 100% charge, the battery management system (BMS) will disengage and stop adding charge to the cells. In this sense, it should be ok to permanently plug it in. This is how the Uniterrupted Power Supply (UPS) functionality works on other power stations. Thanks for your question, Marc
With 3 iPads running 8h a day Do you suggest to buy it for a Marco Polo for a trip of 3/4 days or is ok the battery pack of the Marco Polo?
The leisure battery is about 1000Wh capacity and the Three ipads require about 10w each. So 10x3x8=240wh per day. You'd last about 4 days I think, but much less if the fridge and lights are on
@@CampingSecretsUK thank you, do you think that with fridge and lights on it would be 2 days maximum? If yes for a weekend is ok and for more better get the bluetti with solar panel I guess. Unless there’s a way to charge with panels the battery of the Marco Polo
@@humanadvisorproject yes I would agree with that. About 2 days. I think the Bluetti is more flexible than solar panels on the van, but both options are good. You cannot get AC power from solar panels on the van without a separate inverter

Hello. A very good device for solving problems when the light goes out. At the moment, it is practically non-existent in Ukraine. Especially outside the city. We do not have the ability to buy it. Help me please.
The problem with those panels is they are not waterproof. Splashproof just isn't good enough. If they get caught in rain, and sooner or later they will, they are in trouble. I returned mine and will be using Exel 200 weatherproof panels. Also, those lightweight panels will take off in the wind! Bluetti UK are not easy to get a response from. They only started to act on my panel refund when Amazon chased them up!
I do agree that in the UK the panels are not as much use as you'd hope, especially with just 100-200W output. The chance of getting more than an hour or two of decent direct sunlight is low, and you're right about the rain factor. I love the idea of panels+power pack, but not the reality quite so much
I agree, I am going for some waterproof panels.
***take it off ECO mode and the display should stay on?*** The 1:1 "rule" doesn't actually apply on a constant wattage basis. For eg a 65" TV drawing about 150w will be powered by a 600w PS for just over 2 hours, not 4 hours. I used it to power my TV for one hour and checked the remaining charge, which was 54%. I also ran an air cooler for 9 hours, which was drawing 28w and the PS was on 11% by morning. When I queried this with the manufacturer they said this was right. The actual usage is as if it is a 300w PS when you apply the 1:1 "rule". Disappointing to be honest, I was hoping that for eg. my 600W PS would power a 28w fan for effectively a whole 24 hr period, but its not the case.🤷♂
Wow, a great comment Stu! I took the EB70 camping at the weekend and was also concerned that it didn't last as long as I had expected when running a 60W coolbox. This is likely the same effect that you're talking about. I will also try the non-eco mode and perhaps produce an update video. Thank you very much! Marc

Yeah, these panels are tricky to get perfect!
Let's be clear; the EB70 can produce 1000w of power, but that is NOT from ONE outlet. It is 500w continuous from each 110/230v outlet. The marketing is dishonest.
Not true. If you watch the video, I boiled water with a 1000W kettle. Cheers
Just purchased a stated 1000w air fryer. Will plug it into a watts mains tester to verify and then plug it into the EB70. It's still under warranty . So rather test this sooner than later
Is this a paid review or they sent you this for free? Aren't you disclosing your company relationship? Why is it not stated?
Our reviews are independent and have had no editorial input from manufacturers - hence why I continually point out weak points in these power stations such as low efficiency or long charge time etc.
Some units have been loaned to us for testing - we've reviewed them and then returned them. On some occasions we've had power packs permanently sent to us, and some have been bought by us. By watching the videos you can be sure that we've actually had access to these products unlike alot of fake internet reviews. If you're thinking of buying anything then you should obviously get your information from a range of sources if you have any doubts. I'm just saying it as I see it. Cheers, Marc
