Yasser. I’m in London and I’m planning to get into ADUs of various fashions. I’m a small business owner in home construction as well as a landlord and I’ve got a solid team already in the works. I’m curious if you have explored underpinning (lowering basements) in order to add a new unit with a separate entrance and if it seemed viable financially. Currently it appears underpinning is really only popular in the gta and it’s very expensive but I think in terms of creating triplexes and fourplexes out of a single family home it can still make sense, or a multigenerational home which is increasingly popular(necessary).
Thanks for tuning in! You have summarized the topic fairly well. For Underpinning , it comes down to the investment and the return and exit strategy. Definitely a case by case answer so we would not be able to give a blanket response. We can connect offline for any specific scenarios !
It can vary based on needs, custom design, etc. We recommend reaching out to Yasser & team on Instagram @555construction_management_inc for any questions regarding costs for potential ADU projects.
Recommend connecting with Yasser at 555 Construction Management Inc on IG @555construction_management_inc or on 555construction.ca to talk cost. We also talked more about the cost/process in the third instalment of the series: ua-cam.com/video/OCdV1BujP2Y/v-deo.html
Hello! When it comes to these builds, there is no SF price as each lot/client has different needs/requirements. Your question is better suited for a subdivision volume builder. Fixed pricing model is best suited for these projects. Please watch the full video ! Thanks for supporting the channel!!!
I love this series Adam! What size was the lot for this beautiful ADU?
Where is this house located ?
Hamilton, Ontario!

That's a great question, and would be a great topic for a future video!
