Excellent job of weathering your structures! I think the grain elevator adds a lot of visual interest with its vertical dimensions. Likewise, the narrow freight station fits the space nicely and provides a lot of options for car types - boxcars, reefers, flat cars, even gondolas.
Thanks I appreciate the feedback. It was pretty challenging at first figuring out what exactly this layout would look like but I’m glad I was able to find a grain elevator that worked and a depot. It should provide for some fun times and run sessions. 😃
Marx guy here, I suggest you add a Plasticville Diner, for empty stomachs makes for cloudy thinking. A menu of old favorites, like Meatloaf, mashed Potatoes, vegs, and gravy all over. OH YES, APPLE PIE!.
Sorry I took so long to watch this video. Love all the progress on your switching layout! The depth and height you’ve created in a small space is incredible! So looking forward to continued progress and switching sessions!
New sub here from Canada, very interested in your layout's developement. I'm not a collector anymore, but I am still interested in the hobby and the work those who still are active modellers and collectors put into it. Happy I found your site.
Thanks! I appreciate the sub! It’s certainly coming together and I look forward to sharing more on it as things progress. Glad you’re along for the ride!
Thanks! I appreciate it. Still more work to do but very satisfied with the progress. 😃 Thanks again for that boxcar. It’s the perfect piece of rolling stock for the layout. 😃
@@CWFTrains I have an 8-foot stretch of track on my table that doesn’t really have a purpose right now. I was going to turn it into a trolley line, but a rail yard would be a lot more fun.
@@strasburgrailfan90 It's always 'fun' trying to figure out what to do with extra space on a layout. 8ft is a pretty awesome run. You could create a business sector and use it to switch freight cars in and out. :)
Thanks. It really is starting to come together and I'm all for it. lol The depot doesn't have any sound I picked it up off eBay as is and weathered it.
Nice Switching Layout. Fun is what Model Railroading is all about. Great videography during the actual switching run. Thank you.
Appreciate the feedback! Thanks for watching.
Awesome work! Switching layouts are underrated and lots of fun.
Thanks I appreciate it. They really are. They are also really versatile.

I think switching layouts are the way to go. I much rather do switching than watching trains go around a layout. Looking for more of your videos.
@@Dom-bw6vj it’s certainly a fun little layout. I should have an update for everyone over the next few weeks. 😃

Awesome job on the weathering and scenery. Cool hobo car too. 😉

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. It certainly is a great little switcher.
Looks great, thank you! 😊
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching. 😃
It's lookin' real good! 👍 - Ryan
Appreciate it Ryan! 😃more to come.
You Do Nice Work.
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. 😃
Really nice.
Thanks! :)
Great job on the layout. How did you weather the grain elevator? Looks fantastic.
So I just used black acrylic paint and dry brushed the entire exterior. I did it in several layers to achieve the more aged look. 😃
I think I need more stuff like this on my layout
What kinda stuff are you referencing?

This set up is looking better and better every day. That Lionel freight station doesn’t have a horn inside does it?
Thanks. It really is starting to come together and I'm all for it. lol

@@CWFTrains did you check inside the building by unscrewing the nobs on the roof?
@@railchief74 I did. Empty.
Are you using O36 turnouts?
@@Dom-bw6vj yes.
