May i know how many meters in distance connected to AP mode?

I have 2 questions. when using it as a access point:
1. Can you use it like like a powerline adapter, that the source comes from the powergrid?
2. Or like a mesh device, that the source comes wirelessly from your modem but still being send out as a separate wifi network?
