- In this video, we take a look at the sPOD that had been in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler for the past six years. This is a long term review of the product and we see if I have had any problems with the product and would I change anything. Also, I answer some of the questions I had when first looking at the sPOD. #switch #4x4sPOD #wiringswitches#easyway

I’m fortunate in that the jeep I bought has all the best upgrades, including this!
Very fortunate!
I too have had the sPOD for six years now. I had one problem during that time, spoke to sPOD about the problem. Customer service came through for me. I'm happy with the unit!!
Glad to hear you have had the same customer service experience I that I did. Mine was just a request when they built the product.
I am very happy with my unit as well. Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoyed the video!
Mine is 10 years old. Had a few solder spots come loose 2 years ago. Sent it back for repairs but happened again a year later. This time I fixed it myself with the solder iron. Other then that, no other issues.
Awesome! Glad to know its held up well for you. I often wondered about the soldered joints, but it sounds like for the most part yours has been reliable. Thank you for the comment and for watching, I hope you enjoyed the video.
Had mine 6 years , it is not engineered smart, water can get in the PCM board where the wires enter, and does. I already changed a board because water blew two circuits. Now The switch box ( which is the enclosed metal one with rubber buttons) has took a dump. The connection point was all crusty with a blue powdery corrosion. The switch box no longer communicates because the corroded pins. Hoping Spod send me an RMA to send it in for repair as I already spent $200 on a new board and do not want to spend $350 on a switch box.
This has not been my experience. I am still running my original Spod. Thank you for sharing your experience though. I have wondered if the exposed circuit board would be an issue. It hasn’t been for me so far. But I’m only one person.
Got an apollotec for a fraction of the price, 3 years ago...no complaints.
Glad to hear it is working out for you.
I love mine. Mine has the LED control panel mounted in my TJ and I can Bluetooth it to my phone. I’ve scared a few rather inebriated friends while camping when turning my off-road lights to strobe when they walked by my Jeep. I have never had a problem in over 3 plus years.
Haha! Sounds like an Awesome time. I think the bluetooth would be a fun addition, it was not an option when I ordered mine. Sounds like you have the same experience I have. Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoyed the video!
Love the channel and appreciate the video! Do you happen to have Instagram I didn’t see it anywhere in the description
Thank you very much! I really appreciate the feed back. I do have an instagram, I'll add it to the description. Good looking out, thank you for watching! instagram.com/embarkingwithmark
I heard it has openings at the bottom of the box in the engine bay that allows the elements into the circuitry. (Water/dirt) Any issues with that?
It does have an opening at the bottom so the wires can run through it. I thought there might be an issue, but no not one issue.
I had an issue with that, had to buy a new board when 2 circuits got moisture and fried. Piss poor design , the box should be water proof.
did it void the warranty when you install it?
My Jeep is well out of warranty. However this does not touch the electrical system of the vehicle except for two connections to the battery. So I do not see how it would void the warranty.
