- This one is personally my least favorite. Doing it once, sure, but doing it again after losing.. You kinda easily just take a long time to eventually get to the final part which is actually hard.. gets repetitive really quickly.

okay it didn't actually take 35 hours to beat this mission, I just wanted to mostly play with a full team but cause time zones and whatnot we had to keep switching people and then we had to start all over again from mission 1 and everyone has to learn all the strats again etc etc
Honestly, this is my least favorite of the bunch. It's basically just an auto-scroller, with only the near ending part of the mission being really hard. Takes 15-20+ minutes to get to a 1 minute fight that you'll most likely lose cause you're unprepared and overwhelmed, kind of annoying.

These is more missions coming in the next few weeks on underworld.
Btw you and your group really are bosses to manage to beat theses so quickly.
I hope the other missions that has been worked on in the background, even if not as polished as promised, will still be fun and challenging to all of us PvE enjoyers. Toronto has a pretty good concept, give a bit more of an apocalyptic tone to Overwatch I did not expect, with seeing an Omnic being captured live without being able to help him. Feels like a variant of a Zombie apocalypse. Rio and Gothenburg weren’t as thrilling, but they passed time better than not. The defense set-up with turret concept needs more consideration tho. Flamethrower Turret? Rocket Launcher Turret? Sniper Turret? So much could be done with that.

As of writing this comment, I have finally beaten this on legendary and with randoms. The mega cannon barely held on with what had to be 1 hp. It was fun, but definitely my least favorite of the 3 missions so far.
Nice! This is my least favorite mission as well. It has the best opening cinematic though, Bastion best boi ^^

Ive spent 6 hours playing Ironclad with randoms and still not passed,failes at the final wave many times.
You really need a good reinhardt to make it a lot easier. If you don't charger off all the special enemies it's unnecessarily difficult

They are a lot more difficult than what we've had before.
This mission is so stupidly tedious on Legendary. I’m most comfortable playing Bastion or Torbjörn yet here I am on easier difficulty practicing on Reinhardt’s cliff charges on Artillery and learning the fastest way to navigate the workshop to travel to their spawn points quicker. My team desperately need a Reinhardt that does cliff charges on Artillery but being a Solo Queue atm, I assume I have to take on that role.
I completely agree with this mission being tedious. It's like 10-20 minutes of pretty easy gameplay, you can lose but you can just take it slow and everything is fine. But then comes the end after those 20 minutes and its suddenly such a difficulty spike.
Reinhardt is definitely the best hero to carry with, if you can manage to charge everything off quickly it is SO MUCH easier. If you can learn that it will definitely help you win by a big margin.
If you’re being really careful, it’s really not even that hard to keep the mega-canon at nearly to full HP through the 3 first waves. It’s really just that it’s not that hard to do the first 20 (up to 30 minutes if you take it slow), but DAMN, it’s as close as watching an unskipable 30m cutscene before doing another attempt that shifts from « Cautiously Managable » to « Absolute Overwhelming Chaotic Mission-Impossible Mess ».
I procrastinate the mission so very hard.

Finally we got these. I was always your biggest fan on alt account and did all challenge missions in ow1. This mission is left for me because I get bad players or bots but just realized I can carry with rein.
Rein is extremely good here, charging everything off is fun

Dear CarrierArcnight, I know leaving a comment here is a shot in the dark, but I was wondering if I could have permission to use some of your old archives gameplay in a video I'm currently working on about Overwatch PvE. Since these modes have yet to return in Overwatch 2, it's impossible for me to get my own footage. The video itself is unfortunately outdated as I wanted to release it before Invasion dropped, but since I couldn't get the visuals done in time, it's just sat on my PC unfinished. However, I'm too proud of how the script came out to drop it entirely and have decided to go through with finishing it. It has large portions dedicated to talking about the old Archives events and how they were designed and your old gameplay videos are perfect since you have so many different runs/perspectives with each mission, their challenges, difficulties, heroes, etc.

How can i learn how the bosses work on undereorld this mission is hell for me on legendary i keep hiding almost whole time without peaking amd still get onliderated cant get even pass the robot defence. Also seems some random different bosses spawn per game but only some not all of them and they have different abilities and mechanics its a real mess i cant figure it out how it works bro....
I recommend playing higher difficulties to learn their attack patterns.
Different enemies do spawn per game in Underworld. For example, on Stage 3 you can either get Artilleries or Chargers. You can have either the Breachers or the Slicers throughout the stages. stuff like that.
Everything hits like a truck on legendary, it's honestly even hard for me sometimes with a competent team. With randoms I can imagine it's just an extreme coinflip against you.
If there is any particular enemy that is causing you trouble then lemme know I can try to tell some strats for them that I have.
Well i am talking about this boss stalker, some boss which looks like a walking bomb, also some flying thing idk what it is its rly anoying too. Also those artyleries are huge mess combimed with slicers. I am asking you to give some tips on how to dodge their abilies and attacks in general. What i saw for example which is rly stupid is that on legemdary on those normal things torb needs 2 left click headshots amd they will loose their heads, stuff like that. I really sorry for annoying you bro, i remember some discord you had for pve but i left it when they said no pve will ever come. On old pve retri and strom rising amd uprising you could easily avoid almost all dmg incomes
Someday i will beat this mission, problem is i only ever solo queue and randos arent the best

@@CarrierArcnight I did actually manage to do it, now the only things left to do are beat the Toronto mission with every character (on legendary of course, no matter how long that takes) and the iron cannon achievement for ironclad

I don't like making first completions anymore, they don't feel that special. I'm aiming to get world first 5 stars at the moment, which at the moment seems extremely difficult, then I'll make a video.

okay so i know that you probably wont do this, but it would honestly be great to see you solo the missions as each of the rolls, even if its with AI. As someone who doesn't have a group to play with, it would be great to know *how* to solo each mission, even if it might take a long time for me to do
I'm not sure if I'll do runs solo with randoms, I have a bunch of stuff to do and that might just take too long.
I REALLY want to solo it with the bots though. But I can't. I can't force the game to put me with bots, so I need to group and have them leave. I used to do that all the time with Archives, but I need to buy it to do it now. I don't want to buy this pack 4 times. I don't want to ask my friends to constantly join and leave for me. It's just.. annoying, honestly.
@@CarrierArcnight an idea might be a discord server situation; not sure if you already have one and I never noticed, but I’m sure some of your fans would love to help out with your challenge! I know I would; you could stream it too and ask for viewer support if anything
Doing a « real » Solo on these mission would almost be easier than having bots, because they die just so easily and you WILL have to Rez them or they timeout. They’re like ticking time-bombs. I had a Mercy bots on Liberation and it died falling off 4 times at the Ferry section alone. It’s pure insanity. o_o
But the hardest thing to Solo would be the defending sections, obviously. I think Resistance would really be the easiest mission to Solo, even if it would still be hard at the final boss.
I love that 4 player is fighting the entire team null sector and null sector has higher hp than you and your friends W bro
