Despite hearing from other farmers,i adhere seriously to your teachings and Me i stocked 500 fishes in 35 *35 feet earth pond , some of the fishes were 2.4kg and 3kg, i made 540,000 profit despite selling an 2,400 per kg
@engrjamesoke2156 Thanks for your feedback the problem is not about what other farmers say but the reason for doing things that's why I tell people if I say something and you have another view about it its good when you have a reason but if u have no reason it means u just have an opinion which maybe incorrect . Once again kudos on your harvest I wish I could see the harvest video or pics
Sir, I have a special request and I will be grateful if you can help out. Kindly make a practical video of life fish; 1. different sizes of fish, the names of their age (fingerlings, post fingerlings and all), 2. how many months or weeks to reach each growth stage. 3. Expected feed size for each of these sizes 4. how many months into stocking should sorting start. I have watched a lot of your videos that have explained all my questions. I have them all in my mind correct, but I can't identify the theory when I see them in my fish farm.
The thing is that am not sure I can do this reason I can't sacrifice my fish due to stress in teaching and yet some people will think it's a joke 2. No particular size is the best because each time u improve on feeding and spacing u will achieve a different result but however if there is any other way I can help pls let me know.
In farming, it is close to impossible to declare a specific profit. Because, aside from the money spent on the process, there is the human labour by the farmer, the emotional commitment, and possibly sleepless nights......... What monetary value would you apportion to his non-monetary effort??? The best way to qualify your physical efforts in terms of money is to add up your total sales and less cost of production, compare this result with that of other similar farmers.
All biz have elements of sleepless night, so u don't add that to your cost, but for every business u do, u have to pay yourself. If you don't, then you have not started making a profit , your cost includes labor , running cost , feed cost , capital cost, and salary cost
Hatches also affect the growth period. They will sell fingerlings and say its juvenile size. Pre/post fingerlings/juvenile iif not well iwnderstood can affect the growth also.
I totally agree with you in everything you said. Please what amount of feed (in Kg) can be given to about 200 fishes on daily basis? And secondly, which size of feed will make them gain more weight.. as i would want to sell whn they hit 2kg.
Good morning sir, I'm doing everything you have instructed but my fishes still remains the same, now the supplier told me it's the weather the other time he blame it on the skretting 1.8 that i use. Now my fish is two months old but looks like 3weeks old, sir can you help with the contact of a supplier in Lagos that can sell quality juvinile. Thanks as always❤
Wait, make me to understand better, he sold all of them for that amount? There is no profit there, that was a total waste of time. First how many survived? What was the average kg per fish? Because the fishes i am seeing there are looking big.
