Start part 3 with a Prologue of Vincent and Cid during that Forbidden Capital run, they go to the upper levels to find a way to get to aerith, then they find themselves on an upper level, they see Sepiroth descend, then it cuts to their facial reaction, they get the real view of what really happened, but before we see it, it cuts to opening credits
Fighting deranged Cloud would be terrifying.
Idk. They made Cloud pretty weak in this game.
Possibly coming in part 3 yeah. A lot of foreshadowing for a Zack vs puppet dark Cloud fight.
I love this idea, because in OG Cloud did lose his mind and Sephiroth controlled him like a puppet
@@GhostlyWispers72 I mean….. he is canonically stronger than he was in classic FF7
@@Kean_Bean How so?
Cloud boss battle would be crazy
The stuff they said about Cid made me think about how in mid & end game of part 3 were probably going to see him and Cloud bond over their regret of not being able to save Aerith. Cloud will feel like he couldn’t save her at the forgotten capital, while Cid will regret not helping Ifalna and Aerith when she was a child.
If there is only written text for Cid and Vincent during the final battle, that must be a very early idea that did not go far. Vincent having no part in the fight makes no sense.
Personally I think they should have at least had Vincent and Cid do a couple moves near the end so they at least look like the contributed to the fight. The AI control at the end would have been ideal really. They also should have planned for a dlc, because depending on how long part 3 ends up being some DLC would have helped like intermission did with Yuffie's story. They could have done a 3 chapter dlc, one with Vincent, Cid, and then Zack preparing for the narrative slide into part 3.
I'd Imagine Vincent Getting Aeris Out Of
The Forgotten Capital
And Gets Her To Nebelhiem And She'd Appear Later In PART 3
- Spoilers for the original game-
Personally, I'd start Part 3 with a compilation of Aeirth's mother and Professor Gast in hiding at Icicle Inn prior to the birth of Aerith, but rather than seeing those events through a machine like in the original, we experience them in the form of 'home videos' shot by Professor Gast.
Again, I think you're assuming too much is linked to the OG.
I don't think this follows it so closely. Cloud isn't as nuts as he seems. He has broken free of Seph's influence twice, pretty much on his own. He knows more about his past already. He's healthier than he was in the OG.
They have had Cid's line removed, but there's still proof that we are seeing two parties in the final scene at the Tiny Bronco. One, Cid (despite being close to Aerith by proxy) seems totally okay with her death. This suggests, coupled with your findings, that he's in the same reality as Cloud where Aerith didn't die and the sky rip is present. Two, we also have seemingly two versions of Yuffie. One disconsolate (sat), one very relaxed (entering the Bronco).
Finally, Tifa and Red are only sat sadly in one shot. Another they are no longer present in.
Too many people focused on this shockingly bad 'all in Cloud's head' theory and too few are analysing what's actually on screen!
"Cloud is an unreliable narrator" "It's in his head so it's wrong" is so media illiterate when even in the OG, the key to Cloud finding his identity in the LS sequence was him remembering a memory only he had, that Tifa couldn't possibly verify because she was out cold.
@ultimamage3 Completely agree. I think it comes from wanting a certain outcome rather than seeing a certain outcome.
"I come here often..."
My suspicion is... at some point in the northern crater, whatever is left of Roche will show up, and allow Cloud to pass... alone. Roche will hold off the rest of the party and transform into Jenova-Death. Meanwhile, Cloud will head deeper into the rest of the crater - and prepare to hand over the black materia to Sephiroth. Here, you will play as Reno and Rude - and have to fight Cloud. Reno and Rude lose, Rufus tries to intervene but is stopped by either Tseng or Hiedegger - and Cloud hands over the black materia.
Playable Turks has been the dream for a long time. I don't know if Square actually has the balls to do it though. Here's hoping!
I knew it. It was to weird that at least Vincent did not try to fight Sephiroth. I wonder why it changed. Vincent not acting do not make sense at least in a cutscene
If English is not your first language then you are doing a fantastic job! If it is your first and only language like myself, then I hope you improve!!
it bothered me at the end of the game that Vincent was there to help Cloud get into the forgotten capital
But then Vincent then disappears from the entire fight till afterwards where they're hanging out by the water
That’s what I said
I find it interesting that Cid was originally supposed to see the rift in the sky. When I first saw that ending where Cid was repairing the Bronco, I noticed that Cid seemed to act differently compared to the rest of the party. I thought that Cid could see Aerith. Maybe Cid would have been able to see the rift in the sky because he wasn't affected by Sephiroth's reverse uno on Cloud saving Aerith.
100%. It's because he didn't see those events. Watch Yuffie closely too. We see one extremely sad, one buzzing. There is something massive here, but everyone seems so dedicated to the 'all in Cloud's head' theory.
Cid talks about Aerith in the third person even though she appears to be mere feet away from him. I'm pretty sure nobody there can perceive her, as she doesn't appear to be physically present in the shot of the back of the Tiny Bronco; you'll notice she's completely unaffected by the engine backfire which causes Cait Sith's cloak to billow. However, she is later shown to be affected by the down-draft of the TB's rotors while talking to Cloud. I think the change happens when Cloud pulls the black materia from his pocket. Prior to that Aerith seems ghost-like, but afterwards it's like Cloud is seeing into another world where she's physically present. Notice also that she disappears from our sight when Cloud looks into the hollow materia, as though it grounds his perceptions in its native reality.
@bombkangaroo Good Post. I think the main point about Cid is his tone. Aerith was the character he was closest to, because of her mother. Seems out of character for him to be so unaffected by her death. And the two Yuffies too.
I don't think physical Aerith is there until the end, seeing them off, when we see the more upbeat Yuffie.
@@Thereasonableclerith Yeah, it seems to me like maybe they just didn't mention Aerith's death to Cid yet.
@@bombkangaroo it could be that - but interesting that he was originally meant to see the sky too, suggesting he was more aligned with Cloud.
I can jsut imagine, a scene in Part 3 when the gang jsut stops and says they cannot trust Cloud anymore. Even Tifa wondering if this is the True Cloud she always have known. Which will break Cloud and maybe make him lash out. Course, the Mental Health Journey then though will make that more confusing. I kinda wanted an arc where ALL of them enter the Lifestream and Clouds mind so they ALL see the truth and make Cloud confrotn his anxieties and fear and emerge now a true soldier. Maybe even Lifestream Aeirth will be there to show them what Cloud is seeing and explaining the complex Realities that they are facing.
Then
the Huge Materia bit will be diffrent chapters with each character splitting up to handle them all at onc.e
This confirms to me that Glenn isn't a Sephiroth Illusion but a Glenn using illusions to manipulate others.
Having to fight an evil version of Cloud, our hero, would be downright INSANE! But I'm very excited to see that Vincent, and Cid, might join in the battle to fight against Sephiroth! If the entire cast DO end up killing my favorite character since 2007, I know I'm already going to be releasing the floodgates of tears! Sephiroth's death isn't confirmed yet, but the more Part 3 approaches, I 1000% think his death WILL be confirmed by the devs and that's something that's been locked in my brain ever since Remake in 2020. As much as I hate to say this, I believe that my favorite character NEEDS to die, because he's suffered through A LOT and he needs to rest in peace, especially with all of the things he's dealing with. When he meets his mother and Vincent in the finale, I know that part is going to break me, including Matthew and Tyler's final yet gorgeous performances. I know that Sephiroth's meeting with Vincent isn't going to be all sunshine and butterflies, though.
No joke... tour "southern accent" unironically sounded like Dunkey. All ya need is to add a "Heyyyyyyy...don'tah lookah atta da sky."
Cid and Vincent not part of the final battle was such a let down
I trully commend you for being the first creator that i've watched that has the same thoughts on sephiroth's mind fuckery with cloud on part 3. Though it was the first thing that i've thought when i finished Rebirth, many other content creators and friends didn't even think of the possibilities and just slammered the ending of rebirth as a let down. For me, the ending was just perfection. The way they ended Rebirth will be the perfect opportunity to justify cloud's breakdown in part 3, since no one was there besides cloud, and when sephiroth gives the "evidence," not even Tifa will be able to testify for cloud.
Avalanche strikes back, baby!
Square's REALLY cooking something special.
I think that boss fight against cloud will happen once u hit northen crater especially with Zack back in the mix & perhaps sent to the world they’re currently in.
1:51 Even with Cloud presumably fighting Whispers in these cut lines, I don't think Japanese people use the word ファイト to mean fight like it does in English. They use it to cheer people on, like "you can do it, don't give up!" It's not a super important distinction, but coming from a mascot character I think it's worth mentioning, especially considering I don't think Cait is telling Cloud to kick the shit out of the Whispers, but rather to struggle on ahead and help Aerith.
Wait I’m confused are you saying cloud killed Aerith or did Sephiroth? Did I miss something or is it just a theory
It's all mind games by Sephiroth and Jenova to turn Cloud into their puppet. It's like what they did by saying Tifa was a fake throughout Rebirth and trying to confuse Cloud. It's all manipulation by Sephiroth and Jenova.
Sephiroth killed Aerith. I was saying that Sephiroth could manipulate Cloud into thinking he did it. Cloud is already falling apart and questioning himself. Sephiroth lying would break Cloud further.
@@CuriousCorduroy It's not really Sephiroths way though, OG he absolutely shatters Cloud by using the actual truth although arguably it's Jenova as Sephiroths body is deep in th Northern crater whether or not Square stick with that aspect of the story is an entirely different matter.
I genuinely think Cloud saved Aerith but within the reality where Aerith gives him holy as he only awakes from it in the sleeping forest, He's pulled back into it to as he enters the barrier alone and approaches the altar then is pulled back by Sephiroth/Jenova as soon as the save is made leaving him believing he saved her where the rest of the party sees he didn't. Sephiroth mentions two worlds colliding when Zack joins the battle, Perhaps Cloud is kinda stuck between both worlds leaving him the only one able to see the huge tear in the sky which is visable in Zacks timeline. Sephiroth later showing him the truth of Aerith being actually dead and the truth about his memories being made up of Zacks would be enough to break him.
One thing i am still confused about. When Yuffie is talking about Glenn, she makes no mention of him being dead, in fact much to the contrary. But then in that final scene when he says to Rufus "In the back just like old times" seems to insinuate that some time has passed since rufus murdered him... I feel like im missing something here.
I think they’ll explain this in part 3 or potentially Ever Crisis.
OMG, I'd love a Cloud boss battle!
Im convinced now that Sephiroth was never there at the Forgotten Capital and it was Cloud who actually killed Aerith in the new timeline. Thats why his mind shattered and thats also why they reused the animation from the Shinra Building in Remake for his intro. It was all in Cloud's head.
More like Sephiroth manipulates him into thinking he killed her lol
But Ultimania have said Cloud did succesfully deflected Sephiroth's blade
Would be kind crazy for them to fully make a Vincent and Cid moveset for the very final fight, kind of like how Red XIII was at the end of remake.
I think part 3 si going to do Aerith's death scene like in the OG. Like a flashback or something
Why Vincent just vanished during the Ancients capitol.
My guess is that's what the scrapped DLC was going to be about?
Being able to play some parts of the game as Vincent (perhaps also Cid?)
What if.... in part 3 cloud gave sephiroth the white/clear/transparent materia instead of the black materia. Since Aerith was pulling some shenanigans and can bring items from different world i wonder what will happen if the white materia reaches sephiroth in crystal? Will he die , get cleansed - get flashback of Lucrecia and realize that jenova is not hes mother rathen hes enemy? Can for the love of god have an ultimate fight against Jenova Absolute as the main evil ? Or heck Jenova Perfect/Revived.
I hope they come out with a vincent add on like they did with yuffie.
Sucks that CID and Vincent are playable only in the last part.
this is why i think tifa should be the main character of the final game, so that we finally get to know the truth of what happens, but towards the end of the story we have a reformed cloud with the help of omni aerith finally kill omni sephiroth and ending the story of ff7
Rebirth quality turn into dog shit once you get to Nibelheim. It just went off doing it's Kingdom Hearts horseshit. A fucking disappointment is what this shit is.
Well part 3 is gonna be unhinged with it all then I cannot wait to see the madness
