  • OXBO’s traveling at 250'L x 24'W x 27'T with a gross weight of 600,000-pounds through the western United States heading to Canada. Due to the conflicting height and width of our load, routing and overhead utilities created the need for special planning and coordination. This transport project took several months of collecting data, providing plans and communicating with the DOTs in Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alberta.
The overall project originated overseas, where OXBO visited to verify the dimensions and weight of the cargo. Our team transloaded the cargo from ship to barge where it sailed up the Columbia River and offloaded at a local port. From there the project began its journey over the road towards the destination along a few thousand miles of travel and 1600+ overhead utility conflicts.
Cargo of this size has not successfully been moved in these areas for decades and recent routes are no longer available. Here at OXBO we were able to navigate the obstacles thrown at us and overcome the challenges to successfully identify the proper equipment and a passable route.
Raising the bar in specialized transportation.
