I noticed someone watchin me head bobbing along to my raggae version of anthrax's i'm the man (great meth song..my version thaat is) that person was geoff tate, he saved my life.He actually gave me his shirt a pace to stay, free recordings and a dream. He rented me a condo in vancouver and saved my life with music..i love you geoff

Geoff you the man, but "operation mindcrime" as your bands name? Talk about living the past glory! I think "Tate" would be so much better for bands name. I think you are so much better than that.
Both Queensryche bands miss the "key element" these days, Chris DeGarmo. Soon after he left they went on a downward spiral. Goes to show what happens when the real talent behind the lyrics gets-up and leaves. Geoff is/was great however Chris was the inventor of most the songs.
DigitalDump Uh no....DeGarmo changed his style of playing on Empire for one...and HE wrote Silent Lucidity which happens to be their biggest hit..which is far from anything metal. He went to a more blues style guitar. The band wasn't complaining about that, now were they? DeGarmo also wrote nearly all of Hear in the Now Frontier. Tate wrote with DeGarmo and Wilton. If Wilton had a problem with Tate, then he definitely had a bigger one with DeGarmo. So blaming Tate on the change in styles is ridiculous. This band has always changed their style. Empire is one of their best albums and is what brought them into a huge following.

I have seen Queensryche perform about a half-dozen times in the last twenty years, and I could see the deterioration of Geoff's mind as the years went along. The last time I saw them together, Geoff spent half the night playing saxophone along with a recorded track as the rest of the band sat out. It was disturbing and left me wondering what the hell had happened.
