real shame. My dad owned a 2.0i Accord Touring estate with the executive trim and he drove that car everywhere. super comfortable car for cruising and tonnes of space in the back for hauling fishing gear and household trash to the dumpster. Absolutely loved that car. He picked it up second hand when it had about 60-80k on the clock - it was a company car which my dad wasnt so keen on but whoever owned it took real good care of it - did all the maintenance, servicing and paperwork was all uptodate. It was almost near 180k when he decided to sell the car as scrap because the UK governments clamp down on emissions. He still wanted to keep it but once government regulations came into active service, it meant that he would be charged £20 every time he wanted to go out for a drive. He waited for as long as he could and hoped the government would run some sort of trade in/scrappage scheme so he would get more than what he would get in a regular scrap yard, and a scheme did happen but based on his income, he wasnt eligible for it so he took it to the scrap yard and those boys went to work gutting and tearing it apart straight away. Absolutely heart breaking to watch. If he could replace it with another, Im sure he would have but they dont make them no more and Civic Estates are just ugly and look like larger/longer Toyota Prius's.

@AlexPC I don't know what do you mean that honda diesels are problematic, the only diesel equipped honda's were the ep civic with a 1.7l,100hp block which was actually an Isuzu block that I think had some honda peripherals and according to what I've heard wasn't all that bad. The only diesel that was fully developed by honda was the 2.2 cdti, which I happen to own a 8th gen civic equipped with it,and not only does it pull like a train, while being much smoother than pretty much any other diesel I have ever driven,it does 5 to 5,5ltrs/100kms just driving within speed limits.
