Shockwave Poker bonus is triggered when you hit 4 of a Kind. You get payout of 4000 credits if you hit another 4 of a Kind within the next 10 bonus hands during the "shockwave" bonus feature. The strategy becomes more aggressive, drop all full houses, drop 2 pairs with a high pair, hold pair over 4 to the Flush.

As far as the single line w/feature VP that isn't UX, I think Dice Fever is more preferable to watch because of a couple reasons: Audibly the sounds of Atomic Fever isn't pleasant to listen to (I don't know why, but the swirling sound it makes when the atoms fill in is like listening to a soundwave trying to get out of mud) and the feature itself doesn't seem to happen enough to make it compelling. Dice Fever at least sounds more pleasant audibly and I've seen y'all get that feature more often.
I like Atomic poker to watch when added to your game play. The sound could get annoying if over played. I agree with Steve that only getting 5 instead of 10 for 2 pair feels self limiting, but it's why I choose not to play those games unless I can overlook that part while going for a higher pay out. 2 pairs are coming up a lot lately.
It is Dice Fever that offers a bonus payout for a dealt Royal Flush while in the bonus game. Dice Fever normally offers 3x payouts during the Bonus but will pay out 5x for a Dealt Royal. Atomic Fever does not offer any bonus for a dealt Royal Flush, it pays out 2x all the time during the bonus.
I hit Shockwave at the El Cortez on 50 cent denom for $2k. When you hit a 4 of a kind, it goes into Shockwave mode. If you hit another 4 of a kind in the next 10 hands it pays the same as a royal flush. That was a good pay table for deluxe. I would play it with 5 coins and forget about the lame bonus. If it had the feature where a royal payed 20x during the bonus, i would play 6 coins.
The experience of playing Atomic and Dice Fever is equal to playing single hand, the bonuses enhances the return so why not play the extra credit if a player has the bankroll?
No offense but if you play a game that pays 5 on two pair, it's pointless to complain about it. It's a bit annoying. I know a guy who plays deuces wild bonus a lot and he flips out every time he hits a natural four of a kind. It's ridiculous to think if you were playing an entirely different game that you would have been dealt that same hand.
That game has a very good return of 98.96% and that's why we played it. However, the fans have spoken and it seems that Atomic Fever is not a favorite. We will keep that in mind for the future.
