I’ve been watching your videos for the past few months and I can’t begin to tell you how very much I enjoy your walk through all the lovely peaks and valleys as well as the beautiful churches 🎉. God bless you and keep up the great work 😊. I really appreciate your historical insights.
I lived in an earlier past life on the Yorkshire coast between 1745 and 1815. Our family-owned and operated a small Pub. I recall working there and as a caretaker at the local Anglican Church, I do not recall the name of the Pub nor of the Church. It was a quiet life, I remember hearing and reading about the wars with France and the Colonies, very disgusted with all the wars, we lost many young men in all the fighting.
Blockley surely is a secret hidden gem..lots of crooks and crannies to explore as you walk through the village, similar to Bisley near Stroud..Yet another inspiring tour, thankyou so much!
Sometimes but not often, usually they get used as book banks or for a defibrillator. I had the number for the phone box in Chipping Campden, used to call it when tourists were posing for pictures.
Please do your homework in Ebrington if you visit again, pronunciation of the church name and the colloquialism of the village name. Your comment of the houses along the Hidcote Road are ( no disrespect to the current owners/occupants) are the old council houses as which each village has/had to provide. A comment of their lovely views from both front and the rear of these houses is phenomenal would have been more appropriate.
I did listen to the whole recording and it is Yubberton, and Chipping Campden is Campden as Chipping is a town in south Glos. The church is St Eadburgha’s .
@@SmokingLaddy Yes i do Realise we need Fruit and Vegetables pickers in the country Side I Realise That But its not quite the people I Mean it’s these boat people i was thinking of they will be spreading out to the Villages in time from the City’s the Cotswolds has some lovely Villages and if the immigrants get There hands on Them they will lose there identity i have often been to the Cotswolds especially Bourton-on-the- water and other Villages i just hope they keep There Charm it might only be time before they are over run with outsiders and i live with in 40 miles of the Cotswolds i just come down the Fossway [ just to say I don’t think i would pick Fruit and Veg for £5 an Hour Ether]
@@brucesharpe1079 That’s fair enough Bruce. We do get a few more recent refugees but because we don’t get many they are basically forced to integrate, it can’t continue 1M+ a year but for now I think we should spread them out, we have these problems when there are parallel communities like we see in bigger cities. The AirBnBs are the biggest problem, I’d rather have a family of Syrians than a ponce from London who stays in their holiday home AirBnB one week a year.
@@SmokingLaddy Yes you have to be Careful how many outsiders you let in Especially from other countries it helps if they can integrate people from the cities are looking for holiday homes as well it makes it a bit difficult for the locals to buy and rent I think Morton-in-march or Bourton-on-water are a good place to Stay if your on Holiday stow-on-wold is a nice place as well Toddington Railway i have been to a few times there are lots of places in the Cotswolds worth Visiting
I also love Father Brown, so unassuming and smart!
it's SO NICE to have met the 3 of YOU -- thru all this SPACE & TIME . . .

My favourite time is when you gift us another stunning and informative vlog. Brilliant, simply brilliant 💛 xx
Taking a break from watching Paris Olympics to see the premiere of this episode of hidden gems!!
Not watching Olympics at all due to the degenerates that insulted Christians around the World.
I'm a HUGE fan of Father Brown so I was excited to see this episode! Thank you --
Thank you for showing these places it make me want to go these so much. I live in Las Vegas we don't have history like this.

Do the red telephone booths still have working phones in them? 🙂

I couldn't enjoy this
Video, to many adverts in the most inappropriate places. 😢 but still looking forward to the next Video 😊

I never liked Father Brown on television as it seems alien for England.
I suppose it’s alien now, but it must have been much like that in the 50s except all the murders…

We spoke to several locals who all had conflicting ways of pronouncing it - hence the comment in the intro 😊

Excellent as always, but your videos are starting to get too long.
As in, overall length, or time spent in an individual village? It would be helpful for us to know 😊
The Cotswolds are Lovely enjoy Them while they are Still British Before the Immigrants overrun them Good Video thanks
Erm, we kind of need them. I’m born and bred here but you won’t find me picking sprouts for £5 an hour.

"ordinary housing projects" how pompous.
