To the people fretting in the comments: Modern zoos are generally not inhuman. They protect, preserve, and propagate endangered animals while educating the general public. What you really need to worry about are so-called "wildlife sanctuaries" where different big cat species are kept together, they are often fed improperly, socialized poorly, and have improper living space.
Often it"s difficult to judge weight by vision only for example this 3 years of sub adult male lion weight already 450 lb. By looking at him he does not look over fed. Male lions grows until 5-6 years old some books says until 8. If we judge by the size of his skull it could be a very big lion at 5 years old. However, big cats in captivity tend to get bigger many zoo put them in strict diets. They don't endure the hardships of wildlife. In the real world African lions, Bangle and Siberian male tigers around in the average range of 420 lb. Most big cats in the wild do not reach 500lb. There are many obese big cats in captivity specially tigers tend to get more often obese than lions.
How can this be called an expert when these animals are native to Africa and I bet this guy hasn’t even been anywhere near Africa so what makes him an expert? These animals shouldn’t even be in USA 🤬🤬
What a stupid title, why lion roars ? Why birds fly ? Why human walk ? Why human is a human ? I mean , can you understand a scientist is a scientist not a lion , you can dissect a frog to understand what is a frog , see it alive and see how it acts but you can’t explain why frogs do what they do cuz you can’t understand a creature you are not , scientist perspectives are only that perspectives based in human understanding not the reality not the fact not the truth

Fun thing to hear roar? Really.... Free those poor Animals.. They roam kilometers in a day and in zoo's or in parks you guys have caged them in parameters.. Shame! Poor animals
