Oscar Wilde was a very wise man! At the age of 60 (!!) I have FINALLY taken steps and made decisions to be myself (because everyone else is taken!) I dress the way I choose, read what I enjoy, and spend time doing what brings me joy, even if others think me odd and eccentric. Thanks for another thought-provoking and beautiful video. Am looking forward to your book, which I have already pre-ordered!
I've always been oddly 'me'....but a little embarrassed by it sometimes. Now, at 80 yrs. young, I've decided to flaunt it. I love sensitive, artistic, whimsical, childlike yet darn smart.... ME. I'm a dear girl. Thank you, Paola, and the lovely folks in the comment section for helping me re-set my resolve to RELAX and be fully good ol' jolly, moody, messy ME. Blessings to you all. Love from San Diego, California.
Hello everyone ❤️ hope you are having a beautiful day, I spent this week re-decorating and putting those finishing details in my home that I’ve been meaning to do forever. It’s so easy to put off decorating, but even just a few things that bring you joy in your home space can make such a difference, even if it’s just some flowers or a candle. Things are pretty intense over here, groceries and gas are so expensive on top of tourist season, I find myself not leaving the house as much as I thought I would. I’m focusing on the opportunities to nurture my home space to feel that much more cozy! Sending you a big hug.
Aw yay. I'm so happy you're creating cozy vibes for yourself in your home sanctuary. Just watching you do this made me feel even cosier in my bedroom sanctuary. So important to let ourselves tuck away and retreat from the intensity outside ❤️🕯️🌹thank you dear sister Paola 🌸😻 and kittyyyyyyyyyyy so precious!!!
Yes! Spend time in your new home! It’s becoming a reflection of you and what brings you joy. May I ask where you get the corner stickers with which you put up the prints? They remind me of what we used in old photo albums. Thank you for your channel! I appreciate you and all you share! Bless you and Luke and your kitty and dog! 💝💝💝💝🙏🏼🤗😊🫶🏼
How wonderful to enjoy your latest posting, Paola! I absolutely love the way you are decorating your home. I would hire you in a minute to redecorate my home. A book on decorating with the spirit of a nature sprite would be wonderful. However, your creation of a lovely home must have more to do with the inspiration of what nature offers, rather than what can be bought in stores. I received a notice that your book will soon be delivered to me, and I am so eager to dive into it! If gas prices were lower, I would drive over to meet you, and for an autograph of your lovely book. Love and hugs from western Oregon. 💗
You remind me of my Mother. She became a potter to save her sanity. It brought her back to life after raising 4 children and dealing with a difficult husband. Her pottery was very whimsical, and she loved to use nature in her work. One of my favorites was her use of Queen Anne's Lace to make small, hand rolled wall plaques. Never, and I mean never, give up your creativity to appease another. Thank you for sharing yourself with me, and reminding me of the beauty of my Mother. Love, from Michigan.
You are creative and most people that are creative are just a little more distant at times. You must have a time off here and there. Always use what you love to fid your career. Y will love what you do when following Your passion not someone else's we all are different. What a boring world and nothing would get done if we were not different in some ways. Never try to be someone else or change yourself to please others. We must do what we have been born to do and to share as you do with others. Teaching as you go! Many great joys and happiness as you move through your week and nay the fairies help to lift you up.
@@karlacamska9867 Thank you for asking to see her pottery. She was very talented. One of her other favorite things to make were dragon fountains. They were very cool. Unfortunately, before and after she passed my sister got nasty and took everything. I have some things in storage as I'm in someone else's home. She also made mice plates. The majority of her work was whimsical and all hand glazed. She also did Raku pottery in our backyard in a kiln she made. She was a wonderfully creative woman and Mom. Again, thank you for asking. I wish I could honor your request because it was incredible work. Somewhere out there are people that have her work because she sold a lot of her pieces at art fairs. :)
I love how this channel is great for anyone, young an old. A 70 year old may enjoy these videos as much as me, a 12 year old would. I think it's truly beautiful to see that no matter how much time passes, our soul stays stagnant. Even with everything swirling around us, the soul stays prevalent and stagnant within us, waiting to be appreciated.
I love snapdragons, and too never knew they could "talk." I was so joyful to see some had come up from a year before as "volunteers" in unexpected places.
I never would have thought to hang pictures using the corner tabs usually meant for scrapbooks. I love that idea and think I may try it in my own home. What a simple and beautiful idea.
I am 58 years old in physical years, yet I LOVE animated movies, the ones you mentioned and the rest of Hayao Miyazaki's movies. Not only are they beautiful, and magical, but they also show the truth which is invisible to our perception in this fast-paced, material "reality", the norm we are bombarded with on daily basis. These animated movies remind me of what is real, remind me to daydream through this to create my own, magical world. Each one of us creates his or her own world. I choose to create a happy, magical, joyful, peaceful world. So, I watch movies which inspire and encourage me and which already are happy, magical, joyful and peaceful.
An Oscar Wilde quote reminds me of you… “ and the trees were so glad to have the children back again that they had covered themselves with blossoms and were waving their arms gently above the children’s heads. The birds were flying about and twittering with delight, and the flowers were looking up through the green grass and laughing.“. Isn’t that just magical?
I have always loved making miniatures and decorating dollhouses. Ever since I was small I have loved it. Some people think that I should have outgrown that by now, but why should I leave something behind that makes me feel so happy!!??? What we love as children is often our essence. I love miniatures because I've always been drawn to the little people and their world. Also, since I am blind, I guess I am able to really feel the human world in my hands when I encounter miniatures. It means perspective for me of things I don't usually grasp. Thank you for the uplifting message, Paola! I love the feeling of your home, a fairytale atmosphere for sure!! Love from Nenne in Sweden
Miniatures-- can be a fantastic pastime. As a kid, using simple household items to create dollhouse futniture... designs using matchboxes, toothpicks, caps from toothpaste tubes, scraps of fabric, .... assembling, gluing, painting, being creative.. Loved visiting the Thorne miniature rooms at the Art Institute. ua-cam.com/video/esR2cU7JJh8/v-deo.html
Dear Nenne, you are the inspiration that you can envision and love the tactile world of miniatures. Those of us that have eyes to see often do not see the essence of life in our big colorful world . Whereas you can use your tactile senses and envision the world in a pure undiluted fashion. We could learn much from you and your miniature world of whimsy. God bless you!
@@lindarader8108 Thank you, dear Linda for your heartfelt thought forms... I do believe that we have a lot to learn from our inner worlds. My inner world is colorful and full of life and beauty... I once read a book about a woman who got her sight back and she became disappointed in the outer world. My interpretation is that she became disappointed because by seeing the world around her, she fawlted her inner world. That was a sad mistake, but nevertheless interesting to philosophise around... I do believe that it's possible to build bridges between the inner and outer worlds. Take care!!
Omg, when you lift your kitty and show her the wind-chime, the wreath…it did hit home. I do that with my ferrets all the time. Beautiful home and your love of Nature speaks to my own soul. ❤️
I think we have like minds. I am 71 now and still love the little books and stories that I loved as a child. I loved when there were little mice, in a forest living in a tree trunk or underground. I would dream of having a cozy nest like environment like that someday. Seeing an acorn as a lampshade.. a little log as a table. The little corner hutch with their implements made from foraged nature. It just sparked my imagination, and I feel that to this day. I have always wanted to live at the top of a house in the attic with wood beams and rafters.... and a little wooden window that would open to the tops of the trees. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Imagination is everything!
Hello from Scotland 🏴. Our snap dragons are in full bloom too. Maybe talking to the fairies 🧚♂️ but definitely chatting with the gnomes. As I always I deeply appreciate your videos, grace and wisdom xx
Your beauty just takes my breath away, I can't even imagine how such a beautiful person can exist in this world 🥺 And all of your videos are amazing, too, and your art, and the way you decorate your house and other things. I'm watching this video on my birthday, and it's like a wonderful gift to me 💜 Thank you so much for just being you and allowing us to have a glimpse of how you see this world!
Bonjour, THis video made me tear up in joy. It made me remember how I loved to read fairy tales, talk to fairies and create my own world of whimsy. 'Cats would follow me on the streets and none ever hurt me. My mom used to say 'where do you come from'? but she never judged or criticize me. Now, in my 60s, I am going back to this playful side of me. THank you Paola for this video. You help so many of us to rekindle this love of whimsy.
Thank you for the inspiration to not be ashamed of what you love. I have a love of crocheting and knitting vintage blankets in hues of purples and blues and sage greens. People seem to think its quite odd and out of date. I am beginning to care less what they think and just go with what I love! I once went through a period of creating miniature doll dresses and little fancy bedspreads for doll beds….my sisters suggested playfully that I might need an intervention. I quickly associated that comment with me being weird and just tucked that hobby away. I’m at a new place in my life where I just have to listen to my soul. To thine own self be true!
I hope you're overwhelmed by just how many come to see you! You're always such a sweet soul like a breath of fresh air! Keep on keepin on! Sending love from an ol lady in covington washington ❤
I do this with the snapdragons since I was a child and now I am an elderly lady... I also love the anime of the studio Ghibli and proudly tell it everybody. When you reach a certain age you feel less and less "ashamed" of what and who you love and who you are. You are getting more and more authentic. Thats one of the advantages of being an eldery person. Btw -- if you dont know the novel "stardust" of Neil Gaiman I highly recommand it. Take care and have a great week!
I grew up watching Studio Ghibli movies (“My Neighbor Totoro” and “Kiki’s Delivery Service” were my firsts!). I love watching them still and they hold such a special place in my heart! I also remember the Beatrix Potter cartoon and “The Wind in the Willows” as well! I have memories of my mother giving me the little hardcover Beatrix Potter books, and I always cherished them. Now I share my love of these things with my children, and it makes for beautiful memories! 💖🌱
Hello! I wanted to tell you that my son and his wife have a home when entered that transports you to the very heart of their creative selves. At first I felt terribly embarrassed that their home is anything but traditional. I now feel they are the bravest and happiest couple ever to be so true to themselves. So good for you for expressing your true nature. Crossing your threshold will be a delightful experience for anyone!
So happy to see you again, looking rested & creative again! My years are probably triple yours, but age doesn't guarantee wisdom! I am always motivated and calmed by your videos. Your creative elements in your new home are so wonderful. Thank you for finding your strength as it encourages me as well!
Recently widowed and still battling cancer your videos along with others on UA-cam are a wonderful inspiration to me. Thankyou for sharing yourself with all of us out here who are in need of peace and beauty. Your home, your art, your cat and dog all add to the mix of quiet joy I find in watching each week. Bless you.💞
Your home and surroundings are beautiful. I am sad you are closing your Etsy shop. I had a few ideas. Mini books on how to make some natural teas illustrated by you. One with scone recipes and one with cakes and breads. Oh well. Life is change!! You are an amazing woman with so much loveliness to pass along. I hope you find another inspiring thing to impart to people...another book or two?? A Darcy series for kids?? A floral stationery set? I love your channel!! Have a wonderful day. 😊 💖📚🌹🌷🌼🌻🌺🪴🌾🍀🌱🌿
Paolo, I can see in your eyes that you've come back home to yourself and it is so wonderful to see your inner light shining through your eyes. You are such an incredibly beautiful human being. As someone wrote below, you take my breath away. It makes sense that you are finding yourself by rediscovering the things that made you happy as a child. I think following your inner child is the quickest way to your soul. Thank you for the suggestion to write down the things that we love and why we love them. I am in search of my inner child, as well. Lots of love.
I was so happy to hear you mention Tasha Tudor. She lived from 1915 - 2008 so many of your followers may not know of her. I have two of her books - The Private World of Tasha Tudor (Tasha Tudor and Richard Brown), and Tasha Tudor's Garden (Text by Tovah Martin, Photographs by Richard Brown). Tucked in the books are two long and beautiful obituaries on her, one from the Los Angeles Times, and the other from The Wall Street Journal. She once said, "I believe in moderation in all things, except gardening and antique collecting."
This was such an inspiring video as well as calming. I love how you are decorating your new home. I love what you did with the climbing plant over your doorway and the gorgeous wreath. Your sweet kitty approves as well. I had to smile as I do the same thing with snap dragons! The first time I showed that to my daughter when she was young she was mesmerized. Talk to the fairies indeed. :) Taking the two days off was needed for you Paola as this is such a busy time of change for you. Getting back in touch with what you love is so important for creativity and just for ones happiness. Thank you for sharing with us. Your tea looked lovely too from herbs in your garden. Take care. Hugs.
My doctor recently reminded me that when I'm feeling stressed, the first thing to leave is my sense of humor. So happy you are welcoming your creativity back now.
HI! New fan here. I just finished watching all your videos (over the last couple weeks) and I just wanted to say thank you. Seriously, thank you so much for getting up everyday and putting your thoughts and art out here for us to enjoy. I have been going through a lot of self-doubt and a time of big change. Your videos have been a wonderfully restful, thought provoking, break from the swirl of anxiety that is my current life. I am just so grateful that you are still waking up and choosing to make such peaceful content. I'm older than you but can I be like you when I grow up? haha I love animated films too. Studio Ghibli is my jam. I'm glad you have seen their stuff because you remind me of Sophie so much. Thanks again for being you and I hope your anxiety gets easier to handle.
I too enjoy defining my space to reflect who I AM. I love the nature elements too...baskets, wood elements, plants, water, stones and my handmade projects. All a reflection of my inner self and the things from my past and childhood that inspired me. Tasha Tudor is a favourite as are a lot of the coziness of English homes. Thanks for sharing and reminding us to be true to ourselves.
I also love watching animated films from my childhood. They tend to be my go-to therapy on days when I'm feeling really raw and worn down. My favorites are an animated BBC version of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe from the 70's (animation isn't great, but the music and voice acting really are), and the old Winnie the Pooh cartoons. Also, I love the eye candy animations like Sleeping Beauty and The Princess and the Frog. There are many others that are well worth watching and re-watching well into adulthood. And re-reading favorite books is great therapy, too. There are two or three books I pretty much re-read every single year because they help me get back into that good creative headspace. :)
You're kitty is precious and playful Paola. The vine around the door with the wreath and chime look lovely You're home is looking beautiful with all the special touches and the love you are adding to it ♥️♥️.
Love Oscar! He was such a witty, witty man! When I need a laugh, I’ll read his quotes. The one that always gives me a chuckle is, “I always pass on good advice. It is the only thing to do with it. It is never of any use to oneself!” So, so true when one is young!!
I noticed that "Song of the Sea" was in your favorite list. The whole 'Irish Trilogy' is probably my favorite animated series, with "Wolfwalkers" (the third film in the series) as my favorite. The "Secret of Kells" started the trilogy off, and it is also a masterpiece.
Hayao Miyazaki is one of my favorite directors. I don't like any other animation, but I ADORE most of his movies. My favorite is Castle in the Sky. I also love Arrietti, and Spirited Away. It reminds me of you a little bit! Never be ashamed to be yourself.
Thank you for such a lovely, uplifting video. It was somewhat bittersweet to see all the delightful ways you are decorating and embellishing your home. For me, home is my sanctuary and a place to let my imagination run free. A few months ago, my husband and I had to move from a house where we had lived for nine years and we only had 8 weeks to vacate. Since we first moved there, the rents have more than doubled and even tripled, and forget having pets of any kind. We were so distraught and overwhelmed, with no where to go that we could afford. We realized that our only option was to try and find an older RV to live in and we actually did as well as a space to rent monthly and keep our beloved cats and Chihuahua. I dearly miss having a house to live in though. My greatest fear since I was a little girl was becoming homeless because my Mother had to raise my brother and I alone since I was 1 years old and my brother was a newborn baby, because my father was extremely abusive and an alcoholic. This is in the early 1960's, so there were no plastic bottles or disposable diapers. She worked full time and rented out rooms in boarding houses that would watch us for an extra fee during the day while she worked. So home equals security and safety to me. Being displaced has been very hard for me, but I am also very grateful to have a roof over my head and food to eat. These are hard times for many people right now. How blessed you are to live in such a magical place. I pray and hope I shall have that again some day. Your videos inspire me to never give up or lose that child like innocence and whimsy. Thank you for sharing a little part of your special world with us. 🌻🌿🍄🌼
Thank you so much for showing the real meaning of life. This is what you call the true happiness. You are so lucky to explore it. This is the real heaven. Simplicity, no WiFi, no pollution, no unbearable hash sounds, no tension, no junk food. Only the Calmness, nature and simple life. It's just like a silky feather floating in the gentle wind...how lucky and blessed you are...😘
You don't know how happy I was to see your video pop up on my notices! (I was a bit worried about you after last week's video.) You are blessed with the wisdom to know when you're in need of self-care, and also the knowledge of the means to get there. Congratulations on your upcoming book signing, may you sell many! 💕📖🥰
Thank you ❤️ for the honor and such an absolute privilege for your videos that you share with us. I feel like I'm walking with you through one of your beautiful paintings, and you bringing them life before our very eyes. You are absolutely amazing in every way. Your words are a breath of fresh air and so full of wisdom beyond compare. Thank you Paola ❤️
Your videos are always so inspiring Paola. I'm 57 and I live in France. When I am stressed or feeling poor, I love to watch one of your videos as they are full of softness, sweetness and kindness. Thank you so much
You are so right--bringing the outdoors in, in the visual and or sound--plus animals is so calming, restorative, and connecting. Best wishes as you make an interesting and thoughtful home for the two of you. You are catching on to the worth of being unique in a world controlled by advertising expectations. Having to think about what we want in our lives--as much as we are able to control--is a privilege rather than a chore. I think you are going on to great things in your own quiet way. You are learning now the need to just go ahead and not be concerned with what others may think....Your gifts are yours to share when and how and in what manner you chose. Just consider how many have not the talents and insight you do, and will go on chasing what some advertiser tells them they are supposed to value and work hard to pay for. Love that kitty!
Thank you for your videos. You remind me, of someone I once was and loved. I let life forces change me, and become someone I don't resonate with. I lived my life through and for others. After 20 years of marriage and two beautiful daughters, only to find myself being a single mother of two young children. Life became a whirlwind of survival to keep a roof over our heads, and food on the table and paying the bills. My creativity and wonder of nature took a back seat at that point. Now my kids are grown up, and I find myself alone with no direction...I'm 58yo now and you help bring me back to who I once was, and what I enjoyed doing. Much love to you. ❤
At age 60 I still "Snap the Dragons" and think of Grandma Dot who taught me a simple way to smile. Keep enjoying your surroundings and energizing your creativity! There are many of us out here. xo
Another day I read an article about old souls; you are an old soul. The poetic way you see the world is a beautiful light for me when I watch your videos. Thank you.
Omg! You are almost hitting the million! I remember when I started watching your videos you had 15k followers. Yes! Let's continue promoting great content. I'm so happy for your growth.
Your kitty is growing up fast, so cute and adorable!! I have been off work with Covid and I watched "Wind in the Willows" one day. I love all the same movies you do!! I loved watching the movie about Beatrix Potter here on You Tube as well. Your home looks cozy and inviting!!
Your home is lovely - serene and comforting. Your whimsy is delightful! So many of us would benefit from a more "magical" point of view. Thanks for sharing, as always.
Every time I feel overwhelmed with work and other stuff I come back to your channel. Watching your videos makes me feel good, calm, grounded. Life feels simpler . I dont think you have any idea of how impactful your videos are. I travel between India and USA frequently and meet thousands of people for work but never feel as good as I feel when I just watch you carrying on with your life with the smile.
I am 79 years young and I to am a bit eccentric with all the home details and my love of nature. Love foraging in the woods. I live in the desert so I have to wait till Spring to go back East to my woods where I was raised and I get very homesick in April for the Spring woods back East. I love that I discovered your channel as you live the life I try to emulate. I check every day to see what you are doing that I can do also that day. I have grown a beautiful garden, make herbal teas and gifts, and my husband allows me to be me in all my desires. Please continue your videos
What a brilliant and artistic young lady you are. Your video work and your paintings and your every day tasks are amazing! You are so beautifully simple, and you find beauty in everything. Such a joy and inspiration to watch you. You are truly blessed! Oh, and I’m in my 60’s and love animation too.
Everything you touch is transformed into a source of harmony and quietness. That’s the power of your love for nature and beauty and your magic overall! Your open and real attitude is such a precious gift for yourself and everyone you decide to share it with, including the community of your followers 🌻Thank you
When I watch your videos, I feel like I’m with a friend. Someone who is like minded and it makes me feel like I’m not super out of place in this world. I am more of a nature girl and I feel really at peace with it or doing creative things and appreciate silence and simple moments amidst all the noise of daily life. You really inspire me.
Kitten has really grown into a beautiful cat. Love how you pick her up and let her paws float in the air capturing the leaves and ornaments outside. In this video you are so full of happiness and joy, it is so good to see you back doing all those pretty things around your house, inspiring others once again. Our Fairy is back in all her glory.
I love Oscar Wilde's statement. I have learnt this in my 40's Paola. You are very blessed to learn this in your 20's... And before you have children. God bless you.🌷
Beautiful Paola!!! Never let go of your dreams. Always keep growing and learning. I wish I was young again to live a life of beauty. To have no regrets, no sorrow, no pain. To be free to give my all and free to be me. My ballet, my art, my violin, my poetry and writing would still be alive. Paola live your heart and fly, you are a doll. God bless you always!
Thanks so much for your honesty. Its easy these days to see UA-cam and social media to be jealous of the seemingly perfect lives. Your videos have been a thoughtful reminder that we are all human. No matter how seemingly perfect the life, we cant know anothers most intermost battles. We are all human. No one is immune from stress or anxiety or any number of human struggles and that's okay.
So happy to see you thriving in this season of change! ✨ Your home is truly beautiful and comforting 🏡 I am also doing a mid-summer deep sweep to clean, redecorate, and recharge mine and my now fiancés home! This recent change in our relationship has me changing much inward and outward as well to embrace this new journey. It’s so nice to see your home as inspiration as well, thank you for sharing. Love & Light as always 🤍
You inspire me to be more creative and bring a touch of whimsy to my own home. One thing I love having around the house are quilts: to me they are comfort and art with the pattern & colors used. So glad you are taking time for yourself, this is something I struggle with. Thank you for all your sweet videos and for sharing your home with us!
I planted snap dragons for the first time in any garden last year, and the joy they have continued to bring me all year has been delightful. I will talk to the fairies I know that live in my garden. Self care is so important Paola. I watch your garden and am looking forward to mine developing this coming spring. So many buds forming as Spring is not too far away. Love and light Tassie.
I also have surprise snapdragons that pop up in my flowerbeds that are quite the treat! Thank you for being real! I love the original book, "The Velveteen Rabbit." It talks of the very thing, of being "real". My house is also quite quirky, and filled with the things I love. I had a friend walk in the door for the first time, and exclaimed, "Your home just makes me fill happy and smile! It is the most unboring and interesting home." Thank you for letting me be a "guest" in your home as well. I feel the same sentiment as my friend whenever I watch one of your videos.
I do not find you quirky at all. You are wonderfully charming, talented and possess a lovely spirit. Continue to be true to yourself. You have such a calming influence on the world and add so much beauty.
Relatively new subscriber all the way from sunny South Africa. 🇿🇦 I cannot wait for your book. As a person who suffers from severe anxiety due to a stressful career, your channel and content has been a Godsend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for just being unapologetically you. You are a true gem. Love, hugs and salutations. ❤️
3:09 Paola I have never seen you look so 'alive'! Even positive change takes time to process; and maybe more so when you loved what was before... And that little cat is just a delight. Mr Darcy would approve. 💞
I so appreciate you and your wisdom. I’ve struggled to find connection, purpose, to honor my previous creative self. I’ve let her fade away and watching your videos brings a sense of peace and hope to me. Thank you.
You aren't just a fairy girl but a kitchen herby witch ad well. I so relate to you. I adore the serene beauty of your home! Continue to share the whimsey and homey cozy joy!
Oh Howls Moving Castle....brings back so many memories of my daughter and I cuddled on the couch watching . It was almost a routine and now that she is older when she visits the first thing we do on the first night if her visit is to watch it together!! She lives across county....I miss her
I would love it if you could do a video showing us your outfits. I love all the beautiful pieces that you wear and I would truly appreciate seeing your full collection. Thankyou. You are so beautiful. xx
I've watched all your videos, they brought me joy , peace and also helps me to live a simple and mimimal life. Whenever i start doing my chores, i always tune in your vidoes and listen to them, it helps me to be calm and do my work easily and peacefully. Thankyou so much for your videos! Love them so so much! 😘❤
I have always loved animals science and taxidermy since I was a little kid. I've recently been really getting into taxidermy and have even made a few pieces myself. It's what I love and, yet I always feel scared to let people know about my hobbies. Even though I have only really gotten good reactions. But your words have encouraged me to really be myself and be comfortable with what I like; and comfortable expressing myself. ❤️
The first thing I lack when I feel down or overwhelmed is an urge to create. That is when I use the sweet cards and stickers I purchased from you, and others, in my daily journal. Taking a break isn't shameful and is much needed for new ideas to come to a calm place. Oscar Wilde's quote is one of my very favorites and one I use most often. I can be no one but me so...yeah lol. Have a peaceful rest of summer, Paola. There are videos I can review if I find I miss your calming presence.
There are so many that value your beautiful work and all of the serene moments you create that they look forward to in their days ... I'd say perhaps instead expect the possibility of these bunches of genuinely loving people nearby being very willing to travel to your signing and it being a worthwhile, exciting, and beneficial journey in their eyes. 🌷🌼🏞️🌻💐 Best and most fulfilling wishes to you in this new season of life, Paola! ☀️
Your darling kitty has gotten so big!!! I'm so looking forward to having access to picking flowers. I'd love to invite nature into my home more freely and frequently.
One of my best mentors in life told me that the teachers in your life will not just be those in your age group, culture etc. Be open and you will find them in all possibilities. In her honor as a therapist I often talk to my clients about "whimsical possibilities". You are the embodiment of that phrase. Thank you so much for sharing all that you are and the inspiration that you bring to all of us here. I look forward to your book next month. Blessings to you and those in your life.
I gasped and smiled when I saw you include Howl’s Moving Castle as one of your faves. My family loves that one too, and also Spirited Away. We are fans of Studio Ghibli movies and this is why we named our dog Ghibli. Thanks for another lovely, relaxing video, Paola. ❤️
I don't think you realise how Uchida you inspire us all the either take a breathe and cherish our surroundings or give us strength to be ourselves. So thank you, I'm 50 in a few months and even though I've a 20 and 22yr old it's hard to try and stop being a mum and back off to let them make there own way. One thing I'm glad of is that my daughter knows who she is and even though still at university and not knowing what her career will be she's herself. Blessing you lots and wow kitty has grown so quickly. Xxx
Same here, Jenny! Thank you for sharing
I'm the same Jenny, I'll be 60 in February and boy it feels good to just be yourself and love who you are. Keep being you 🤗🧡
I used to ask my son, "If you won't be you, who will be?" Why be a second-rate version of someone else?
I've always been oddly 'me'....but a little embarrassed by it sometimes. Now, at 80 yrs. young, I've decided to flaunt it. I love sensitive, artistic, whimsical, childlike yet darn smart.... ME. I'm a dear girl. Thank you, Paola, and the lovely folks in the comment section for helping me re-set my resolve to RELAX and be fully good ol' jolly, moody, messy ME. Blessings to you all. Love from San Diego, California.
I agree totally.
Question: How many of us are 55+ and love this channel?
the wisdom of Paola is something that seems to transcend age.
I’ll be 66 on August 28th…🧚🏻♀️🧝🏻♀️
I am 58 and love her wisdom and peaceful soul.
I will be 64 on Halloween
I'm 64 - yes it transcends age ♥
I'll be 43 on the 29th of this month and watching this on the other side of the world.
You are a beautiful H S P❤️❤️
How wonderful to enjoy your latest posting, Paola! I absolutely love the way you are decorating your home. I would hire you in a minute to redecorate my home. A book on decorating with the spirit of a nature sprite would be wonderful. However, your creation of a lovely home must have more to do with the inspiration of what nature offers, rather than what can be bought in stores. I received a notice that your book will soon be delivered to me, and I am so eager to dive into it! If gas prices were lower, I would drive over to meet you, and for an autograph of your lovely book. Love and hugs from western Oregon. 💗
I'm so glad you took a break over the weekend. I'm a big believer in the need to living a balanced life!!!! We need rest too
You remind me of my Mother.
Oh wow, what a beautiful, sad, resilient, heart-tugging story... Thank you for sharing that memory of your mother!! It's very special! ✨
@@theodora6843 You are welcome. She was really a special Mom and so loved by me. :)
@@shelley7975 hi, is there any way I could see your mom's pottery, an instagram account or something? It sounds really interesting :)
If this video reflects who you really are. Don't ever change! We need more dreams in the world now!
" never apologize for what you love"... Beautiful, Paola!
Your house looks so cozy and whimsical, it's lovely! And kitten has gotten SO BIG!! ♥️ I'm glad you're feeling a bit better!
Hehe! She’s growing like crazy! She’s a big eater too haha! 🥰 thank you so much
I love watching you and Mavi since she looks so much like my own cat, and LOVES being with us.
@@TheCottageFairy darling your soil is to rich to let words that aren't deeply rooted in your truth to soak in.
I planted snap dragons this year...and at 64, I did not know they could "talk"...so off to add a little fun and whimsey to my day....thank you!
I love snapdragons, and too never knew they could "talk." I was so joyful to see some had come up from a year before as
"volunteers" in unexpected places.
Oh It's so good to know these from you!
@@tasniazaman5738 Thank you very much.
If uncertain, look back to what you loved at 11 and you may very well find what it is you want to do with your life professionally.
Take care!!
@@scottjones1109 Well said!! Good food for thought!!
Omg, when you lift your kitty and show her the wind-chime, the wreath…it did hit home. I do that with my ferrets all the time. Beautiful home and your love of Nature speaks to my own soul. ❤️
You had so many life-changing moments in the past 6 months. Take as much time as you need.
You are so beautiful; inside and out.
I think we have like minds. I am 71 now and still love the little books and stories that I loved as a child. I loved when there were little mice, in a forest living in a tree trunk or underground. I would dream of having a cozy nest
like environment like that someday.

Well put! Paola is beauty and grace inside and outside. So thankful she's sharing her gift with all of us. Also very happy belated birthday! 🙂🎈
I am the same way. When I'm stressed & overwhelmed, the first thing to suffer is my creativity.
One of a kind video, one of a kind channel! Thanks for staying true with who you are and helping us all learn or feel something with your videos! ❤️🔥
Sounds wonderful. I wish I could see pictures. I wish I could crochet and knit like that too!
I hope you're overwhelmed by just how many come to see you! You're always such a sweet soul like a breath of fresh air! Keep on keepin on! Sending love from an ol lady in covington washington ❤
I’m nearly 50 and I still twirl. It’s such a movement of freedom and celebration and innocence. Twirl to your heart’s content.
My grandpa taught me how snap dragons can talk. Brings back lovely memories from my childhood. ❤️🇬🇧
Oh i abolutely love this picture of the woman with the birds. And i totally love how you decorate your home🏵
When I was a child, snapdragons fascinated me. Still love them.
I'm older than you but can I be like you when I grow up? haha
I love animated films too.
Even before watching I know it’s going to be peaceful video ! Love your videos ♡
Every time I see your videos pop up, I grab a cup of tea and look forward to pressing play. Thank you so much for this Paula 😊
You are such a sweet spirited woman, I really enjoy your videos!! Blessings.
I love then too. I was thinking it was, Celtic, but after you mentioned, Kells, it came back to me.💞
Song of the sea is my family favorite❤
Yes, pray and be strong. Never give up. Things have a way of turning out well in the end. I wish you everything you wish yourself.
Ooo I felt like your words were for me too! Beautiful and thoughtful! ❤️
There are many of us out here. xo

Love & Light as always 🤍
Like your videos of decorating and showing your creativity of crafting, gardening, cooking, Thrifting, etc.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for just being unapologetically you. You are a true gem.
Love, hugs and salutations. ❤️
Your videos bring me peace and feeling of joy Paola. Thank you. I think so highly of you. God bless you.
Keep on doing what you love- it's magical. YOU are MY inspiration.
Thankyou. You are so beautiful. xx

We're like kindred spirits. Beautiful fairy princess..🧚♀️🧚♂️🧚May God Bless 🙌 you always..💜💙💚💜💙💚💜💚💜💙💚💜
I hope you know just how much you and your channel mean to so many of us. Thank you so much
There are so many that value your beautiful work and all of the serene moments you create that they look forward to in their days ...
Xxx
