These videos have been astoudingly helpful and knowledgeable. I have had so many issues from literall neck to toes (head as well given the migraines ) and this has been lifesaving to show my medical professionals and refer to appropriate tigger points.

Very good clip, finally i think i ve found the true cause of pain after sat and bended forward my body long before get up. I feeled very pain at back and somewhere deep front right from tammy button through illiac crest of hip bond 👍
This is one of my favorite muscles as a massage therapist. More and more my clients are relieved by trigger point release and that will be the largest pain reduction and almost removal after several sessions. Funny story, my anatomy teacher in college used to tell us that if he were ever forced to cannibalism, the first piece of “meat” he’s going for is the psoas! LMAO! Needless to say, if I’m ever on a plane with him I’m not dying before him in the event of a remote crash. He’s nuts and I don’t think he would wait long to start going for human filet mignons.

Hello - first-thank you for your site I found in search of how to overcome severe pain. I have had severe low back pain for 30 yrs (over 100 different therapies already) with almost no relief. In the last 4 yrs I also have sit bones area pain - it only hurts when I sit - when I stand it goes away - I can lay in bed and thankfully it does not hurt. The pain starts in the sit bones almost immediately when I sit - even on a soft chair with an additional pad or donut - I can hardly sit for 2 minutes. No one has been able to help - pls help with whatever u can suggest - I have to try to heal this myself - BTW I have had very tight hamstrings for 30 yrs or longer - I never heard a pop. pls advise Thank you so much - Bill ..
Hi saviourjc. One stretch that helped me is to sit in a chair facing the back with knees spread. Deep breathing. See how that is. hold onto the back of the chair and move upper body slightly until you feel a stretch point, stop and wait while breathing for it to release. This stretch is very specific and takes gentle movement, deep breathing and time. Hope this helps you like it helped me.
Get your SIs checked for hypermobility and get your gait analyzed to see if you're compensating somehow... i have a twisted gate as a result of a twisted pelvis. Also get your muscles checked for weakness/atrophy, especially your glute medius/minumis/maximus. I would hope somebody has checked this by now, but it took me many many years for anyone to look. I have a regenerative orthopedic doctor who can do a very thorough examination with an ultrasound. I highly recommend finding a doctor who can do this.
This is so helpful. Thank you. For the psoas, there is a point in the groin area where you can lay down on that applies gentle pressure or use a psoas release tool. Is that for trigger point 1 or 3? The Point im talking about rund down vertically to the side of the belly button but its in the groin area near the ASIC. I have applied pressure there in the past anf it has loosened back pain. I have a bulging L5-S1 and tight illopsoas and weak glute meds are not helping my cause. You mentioned lengthening exercises. Strengthening. Do you have anothrt video which covers that?
We're glad you found the video helpful! That point you're referring to sounds like it could be related to trigger point 3. It's great to hear that applying pressure there has helped with your back pain. As for lengthening and strengthening exercises, we'll definitely consider creating another video covering those aspects. Stay tuned for more helpful content! 😊
We’re very sorry to hear about your injury. Healing from a psoas muscle injury can be challenging. It's important to follow your healthcare provider's guidance for a safe and effective recovery. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery! 💪

Thanks! Do you have a picture of the trigger point in the groin? It's quite hard to see and I don't want to hit the femoral nerve or artery. Someone told me that a tight hip flexor, I think he meant iliacus, can cause an externally rotated leg. Does that make sense?
Hey, a little late but I have the pso-rite and I did get some relief. I found it to be too wide for me and it worked better for me to use one end at a time, hope that makes sense. (The handle of a KB also works). Tip: concentrate on inhale/exhalation while using it. Can u Lmk what u think of the hip hook, thanks

Doesn't the pressure next to the belly button go to the intestines? psoas seems a little hard to reach
Yeah, I don't understand how people can claim to be hitting psoas through all the viscera
When my psoas is in spasm, my bowels are definitely affected.
Can it cause tight pelfic floor?
