- Gouritsmond is a very popular destination for fishermen. The name of the town is derived from the Gourits River, which runs adjacent to the village and “Mond” is the river mouth leading into the Indian Ocean. I spent some time on the beach of this tiny village and what a beautiful place it is! We took a slow drive through the village and you could feel the mellow atmosphere all around. Then it was time to head for Dana Bay. #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #velddrif #portowen

Those Sable Antilope are beautiful the horns are so long. Loved the beautiful beach so restful. Awesome.
Yes they are!
Beautiful beach, very nice little village.
It really is!
Absolutely stunning beach! It's also quite something to find an intact jellyfish like that!
Pretty coastal village 👌
Never been there. Thanks for showing me what's there.
You're very welcome, we're happy that you were along for the ride. The town is well worth a visit if you're ever in the area. 😁🚗
It's beautiful there
So peaceful.
Was that a huge Jelly Fish?
Yes, it was indeed. I love jellyfish! 🤩
Beautiful video tks, where is this place?
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 🚙😁 It's a small coastal town on the Garden Route, close to Mossel Bay. 🌊
Hi there. The reason why you have not been to Gouritsmond yet is because this really high level ' staats geheime' . OJ. Thanks for taking me with on your supposed to be secret adventures.
Dunno if you guys catch fish, but I understand that the seas in that world are very fished out. The town has more become a holiday home place for the wealthy. Like Victoria Bay and many others. Its still beautiful. I am just so sorry for the local peeps who used to catch fish for their living
We don't fish personally, no. I think though that it's not only this area that's fished out, but there are many other places we hear about too, including some fishing villages on the West Coast where fishermen also struggle to make a living. 😏🎣
@@DustBugsTravel Absolutely right. People can be so greedy
@@annawitter5161 The thinking I guess "there's no tomorrow, if i don't take it someone else will, there'll be more", but.........there's no more now. How you like them apples fella !!!!
