Hey there! Roman Catholic here. Bought the LAP Matins to go with my Diurnal. Haven’t used it yet (tomorrow morning!), but I noticed that the cover is really easy to “dent” so to speak. Even the bubble wrap it shipped in has left big imprints all over it! In your experience, did these return to their original condition on their own? Or am I going to have massive imprints on the back and a bunch of bubbles all over mine? Haha Have a great one. God bless!
@@OrthodoxReview Cool! Thanks for the reply. That coupon code makes it very tempting to buy just to check it out. Thank you for doing all these reviews I've learned a lot about different books I would've never seen before and just about Orthodoxy in general.

The Rubrics in both are truly Catholic- but the psalter they use are Protestant Anglican (the Coverdale Psalter ) based on the Hebrew Masoretic Text
Have you ever considered doing a review of western office of the blessed virgin or the office of the dead? Nice videos btw, i like the content.
If there are dedicated service books, endorsed by an Orthodox bishop, then sure.
LAP are now taking pre-orders or a new edition, slightly larger and with ribbons.
Ah...Spooky the indifferent teen cat...? 😼

Interesting! Just wondering, do you know if this is what is used at Lady Minster in CO?
Yes, it is!

@@jswagg193 Yes -- ditto. In addition to helping me sort out purchases from non-, it's great just for nerd-knowledge....🤓
What is this? And where in Colorado? (My family is from there 😁.)

Would you please recommend a good video series on the basics of Orthodox doctrine and practice?

Thank you sir! I will check them out.
Is there any additional prayer material such as an itinerary, prayers for dying, before/after mass, etc.?
Nope, just matins. I recommend the St Ambrose prayer book from the same publisher for that.
The Itinerary and the prayers for the departed are included.

Yeah, we're in a prayer group
@@OrthodoxReview Cool 😁.
I know you’re a fan of WR - are you an oblate with any of the WR monasteries?
No, I just admire from a distance lol (Though I have considered it)
Does the code not work anymore?
Unfortunately it's long expired
@@OrthodoxReview well that's what I get for waiting a year lol
I personally pray the new Novus Ordo Breviary daily as a youth lay person (as of July 5, 2021) however, this would be nice too.😊
Try a Catholic Monastic Durnal, this is a anglican one used by Western Rite Orthodox (Not Catholic)
