    hey, I was wondering what is the reason for creating the round donut around to cut the gap? Does it work better than offsetting that curve on both surfaces and trimming that way?

      The purpose is to create an equidistant gap.. as the radius of trimming will always be the same.. that's all. If the offset works in creating the equidistant gap... the result will be the same.

      @@simpernchong Ah i see now. I like your method more! I'll use it from now on too. In certain cases it's really the only way to trim both parts without any issues. Another question I have is: why did you use the split command and then delete the unwanted bits instead of using the trim command which does the same and deletes those bits for you?
