2:25 something on MARC you probably wont see again or if its rare, the rotation beacon on the top, like what metra an other railroads used, Marc used them in the older years, but a lot of them on cab cars have been replaced with ditch lights or have been patched up, but besides that great video, i subbed!
Great Complication! Those single level cab cars have better horns than some of the engines on the NJT! Great videos and I love your spot on the hill at 0:50 and 1:41
The reason it sounds different is due to the cold temperatures. Horns tend to have lower pitch, and I can verify that as my Nathan K #3A sounds much lower pitch and different in cold weather. Edit: The horn is also restricted.
@@sepa2401 The #7755 wore a 1987 Widefont Smallbore K5LA with a Dead 5 bell. The 4A was very sharply bored on that K5LA causing the unique tone shift.
2:00 that is one true K5LA 😍😍
MARC logic: we have a short three car train. Let's make that a double header.
😂

It's called a gyralight
@BonesCentralRR Thanks, I love those spots too! The MARC K5La's are pretty awesome!
I can’t believe how good the quality is when it was made 10 years ago
These are what Amtrak horns should sound like.
@trekky60 Thanks George, I'm glad you enjoyed!
@bhv1960 Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it!
1:40 that's actually not a K5LA. It's a strangely tuned K5H
Sounds like metrolink sold cab car horn
Its actually not a k horn but rather and C5A-CWP horn. It does sound like a weird Hybrid K5H.
It’s tuned to the same notes as a K5LA should be except that the #3 is tuned to A instead of a G#. These horns do foul very easily however.
It's a Hybrid K5LA
@@vikrad1800that’s a C5A-CWP
@mukkaspec Montevideo Road, I agree it's a nice spot to really hear the horn
Gotta Love MARC & their horns! Awesome Vid & SUB!

0:16 One of the best K5LA's, somehow, it sounds different than the standard tuning for the K5LA.
I guess those are retro k5las

@@aircraftsandtrains2309 He was probably quilling the horn.

@GaltRailfan Thanks man!
2:00 i love this horn
sounds like a septa cabcar horn a bit (the bombardier ones)
Awesome K5LA action and catch!
SO cab car 7755's horn was used in Trainz 12!
@dcarpine28 Thanks a lot, I agree with the horn action!
@CSX453 Thanks man!

@CuseRecorder The first is my of my fav spots too, thanks!
2:14 and also, in TANE, I have an Amtrak with that horn! (Or Close to it)
1:35 that's a unique horn
Yeah I agree I believe that is a Hybrid K5LA
@futureengineer100 They sure are, thanks!
Great video. Action packed, that's the way I like it. Best moment, around 1:50. Thumbs up.
@tpe18509 Thanks!
@quimbyt Yea, I labeled it in the tags
Nice video.
But the MP36 doesn't use a K5LA like you mentioned.
Vish C it uses a hybrid K5LA
@Cwispy Face Airchime WH30271
Where is the Hybrid K5LA horn located on MARC MP36ph Diesel Locomotives?
@@danielmendoza355 They use a WH30271 located near the coupler
I hear a horn called a k5la but on every train it's different same for each horn why
I know this is a late reply, but they sound different due to many factors; temperature, different tuning, amount of airflow to the horn, etc.
marc camden line
How come MARC doesn't blow their K5LA's to full blast?
Vish C they do
