Part1 Beautiful Gum Paste Plunger Flowers

This video is part one of a series of gum paste flower tutorials. These plunger flowers are shaped both by hand and with the use of plastic cutters and veiners. Plunger flowers or small gum paste blossoms are basic to the work of busy cake decorators. They make great sugar flower arrangements and are edible flowers. They are easy to make in advance in an abundance of colors to match cakes, can be stored for weeks, months or even years if properly packaged.

In 2001 I attended The Institute of Culinary Education in NYC, where I graduated with honors. In 2009 I began teaching cake decorating at Michael's, Palm Coast.
In 2013 I attended The Wilton School Master Course in Darien, IL where I graduated with honors. In 2015 I graduated from the Daytona Beach College Pastry and Baking Program.
