Ms A, if you read this I wanted to let you know I appreciate your videos very much. I went through your electrical videos and man did I learn a lot of stuff I didn't understand before. I take my A6 ASE tomorrow and feel very confident because of your help. Thanks again so much and take care!
You got me here from your spot on donut!! 👍 I'm not a rookie, been wrenching a long time and enjoy watching people whom know what they are talking about. Peep game, so to speak.✌️
Miss A the Shop teacher? More like Miss A the Shop Guru! Omg i know these vids are old but im still subing and liking. I have my first ase test in a month and Miss A is amazing with this stuff.. thank you so much.
Ten minutes ago I was about to open facebook and scroll mindlessly while I'm eating beut then I thought I'll check your channel it would be much better use of my time, and actually I learnt sth new and very useful, thank you
Before I retired that Fluke was in my work van. Nice combo multimeter, "megger" or insulation tester. Remember moisture can be a source of low insulation resistance values. Nice demonstration BTW.
I have mixed emotions on a megger.i see where they are handy, but i also see they dont find bad bearings in motors, gearboxes that leaked into the motor.how do they act towards a motor thats full of water.just bc it megs good dont mean its a good motor
Thank God I finally found a Non-Indian version of a video to watch. I know historically Indian descent people are smart and work in this field, but why da fuk you gonna make a series of intricate videos that nobody can understand?? This lady was awesome, articulate, and informative!!
I love your videos, thank you so much for your automotive guidance and advice, I enjoy your videos and learn so much. Thank you, have a great day!! Wonderful video
I subscribed to your channel due to Donut Media. My cousin owns C&B Auto shop in Louisville Ohio. It's one of the biggest shops in Stark county. I own Adam's Excavating & Demolition. Have a safe one.
Hello Ms Angelina, with your current success, I would suggest that you make the most of it and (if you have time of course) upload to your channel again as I would happily gamble (and I’m not all that fond of that particular pastime) a good bit of my entire worth that you’d have a booming UA-cam channel. People want to see more of you because you’re both fantastically knowledgeable and you know how to explain these things in a manner that anyone could understand it. You've also got a brilliant personality and have a natural talent for presentation. I’m genuinely surprised that your channel, with all the effort you put into it, wasn’t a massive hit already but UA-cam is a fickle place. Now you’ve got the RMS position (Sandro and you could very easily have your own channel because, while you’re both brilliant on your own, when you’re together it’s an electrifying partnership) especially, it’d be a good time to pounce. Or, (and I despise office speak more than I could ever tell you in a UA-cam comment) ‘Make Hay While The Sun Shines!” The Which I freely admit, sounds a bit mercenary, however you’ve got a real talent and if you wanted to pursue a more media-oriented career, now is the time!! It’s none of my business of course, what’s more, you might be perfectly happy with your life at the moment and don’t want the hassle of being even UA-cam famous (I’d hear you there!) I just thought I’d mention it because you have massive potential.
Motors wired in WYE configuration, such as the one shown, share a common point between the widings. If measuring a motor in delta configuration, you would need to test all 3 legs because the windings do not share a common point. Good video, I was hoping you would go over why using less voltage would produce a different ohm reading. I find when using this meter that the voltage applied effects the readings of the resistance to ground
Excellent demonstration but I couldn’t help myself laughing when she was standing with the diagram of the star winding on the whiteboard behind her it looked like she had two antennas coming out of her head 😂😂😂😂
I love your content, I'm a fellow educator and use some of your videos for some of my in class videos, but I want to point out the way you have the stator laying can damage the windings. It must be sitting on the stator case so you prevent damage to the insulation, Especially when pushing it around the bench to test. Stand it up.
Hello Nameste ! Very Nice information provide by you and your channel is Active or not i think your all videos almost 3 to 2 year old, i just join your video Automobile System, and i am a Mechanic that Why asking to you for any new Videos upcoming ! you're doing well keep it up thank to you Nameste
How would you use that same test to find issue in a Toyota Prius Hybird battery pack? I seen ground on pan positive to both cables is the correct or you have a video I can view on this fyi good easy to understand video 👍
On the Y diagramm you showed and the particular hypothetical point of the short, why do we measure in every terminal 0Ω and not 0Ω on the end of the same coil and 2x the resistance of each coil from any other terminal, since there are 2 winding resistances in series to that particular point?
The other thing to look at during the insulation test mode is the bottom right hand side of the meter screen ... But first, let's say your test voltage setting is 1000 volts... The bottom right side of the screen gives you the read voltage, which will VARY, depending on the breakdown of insulation... Note on the stator test here, the read voltage was 1 vdc, because obviously the ohms / resistance was @ 0.0 ohms... 👈The read voltage is just as important to look at as the resultant ohms...Had the insulation been any degree better, the read voltage would have been anywhere from 2 vdc to 1000 vdc, 👈The selected test voltage.
Question are you supposed to get close to the supplied voltage on the read? Or is based on ohms only to determine is insulation is bad. For example if I sent 1000 and I supposed to get 1000 back or close to it?
I have question. I drive a Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor 2009. For some weird reason I keep getting the code P0128. Thermostat below regulating temperature. I put a new Spring Thermostat plus new coolant. But it keep coming back with the code. Furthermore, my temp gauge shows as analog 8.30 The needle should be at 9.00 Can you help me please. Took it to shop and they could not find anything wrong. Well, something is wrong. Help me plz.

Amazing video the way to break down everything helps to understand every single basic concept of how everything works. Thanks
Ok, I know we are not suppose to laugh at our teacher, but the winding lined up so perfectly with your head I had to give a chuckle. [10:50 time code]

She also seems to use "voltage" and "current" interchangeably... 😞
Ms. A still teaches. She stopped posting videos because her students are back in class since the covid pandemic is over.
Best insulation test video I’ve seen. Thanks!
Wow fantastic presentation and explanation .

Great video, straight to the point and practical.
You need some new stuff! I love the content on donut! Not very often you find a skilled knowledgeable and drop dead gorgeous mechanic xD
I'm just here for the Fluke, we use them in the Army for IT and mechanic stuff as well. Too bloody expensive though!
Learned something here. Thanks!

Great video, concise and to the point.
You are amazing, funny, smart and you sure do know your stuff.... single? LOL
Very informative but I would have really liked to see the cable test while still on vehicle. Keep up the great work.
I don't think the difference would be that big, since there is always a way to disconnect the cable (at least on one side) and test it by itself.
When are you going to upload again? I like your videos they are very helpful
Anyone else here after seeing her on Donut Media?
Sadly the last vid is already years old, hope you upload at some point again 🤗
Spent half the video giggling at the alien antenna on the white board behind you. I lost track trying to stop the vid as your head lined up.

Cool I knew nothing of this new tech just gas and diesel tech can you show more of this new gen stuff also first time no hat cute
Wooo gracias you are the best in the world
Excellent video. Thanks. 1000v only hurts for a sec
What if the windings are melted together which would cause a weak field. Can you use a megger to test for that?
Thank you
Hi just wanted to ask out of curiosity can a planetary gear be connected to let's say a constant mesh gearbox would it work or not

Great Video!
Is that the flux capacitor on the board?
Thank you so much
LUL for like the first 15 secs of this video i thought she was wearing antennas on her head HAHAHA
Does the voltage matter whenever testing. Like if testing at 1000v should it read 1050v instantaneously or climb to 1050v form like 300v.?
Very Good Video....
