George mason was killed off way too early, only in it for 2 seasons but his character development was brilliant. You go from hating him in season one to being close to tears in some of his scenes during season two.
I love scenes like that. I love that Michelle was genuinely saddened for Masons death and I think he actually liked her. I love scenes that focus on building character than on the plot.
In a show as heavily plot-driven as 24, it was always a breath of fresh air to get a character-driven scene like this one, where we learn everything about why George is the way he is, but also how humane he can be. It’s very low-key in the grand scheme of the series, but it’s one of the scenes I remember most. Xander Berkeley is the benchmark of season 2.
Back when this show had deep, character driven scenes/subplots instead of relying almost exclusively on action.
One of my favorite scenes!

Yeah, the same goes to Nina

Favorite scene in the whole show with my favorite character! George Mason was the fucking man, what a character arc.
George Mason is truly one of the greatest characters I've ever seen anywhere.
I have been looking for this scene for so long! It's so heartfelt and underrated, thank you!
Michelle was freakin hot 😍😍😍
George Mason is probably one of the top 5 heroic characters on 24.
Wonderful scene. I've always remembered it after all these years.
