Yes I think lots of people start learning German because of Rammstein. The keyboardist is Flake (pronounced a bit like Flah-ka). He's a real character and very beloved by the fans.
As a fan for going on 27 years now. Can confirm yes they (as well as wanting to connect with that part of my heritage) are why I am now actively trying to learn German. As for Flake, he is that beautiful weirdo that makes the rest of us beautiful weirdos feel like we are not alone as well as happy and proud to be us. So yeah LOVE the hell out of him. Flake is the best.

That's also one of the great things about Rammstein songs, everyone can have their own interpretation.

I think that's one of the most controversial song of Rammstein, as there are different meanings to the song, depending on how you want to listen to it and I believe, even the band members themselves find different meanings of that song

ICH WILL was a pomotion background song done for the German Paralympics one year.
Apparently they get kinda loud... The last time they played in Montreal there were other concerts going on .and you could still hear Rammsten playing...

They cant whistle . In the Song roter sand flakes wife did the whistle. Its a track with them playing along . Peace
