Really small thing, but really appreciate your use of the word "Football". Even as an American, it would have been easy for you to refrence it as soccer, so on behalf of everyone, thank you!
Why does anyone even care? I'm not from the US, and I do use the term football, but also soccer sometimes. It seems like a petty and insignificant thing to care about. I'm pretty sure you don't refer to every single thing the same way that the natives who popularised the thing refer to it, but rather use the same terms other people around you use.
maybe next you could do a video on how Scotland doesn't actually allow their land to be sold and titles to be bestowed using those souvenir titles made by someone in Hong Kong

I do know the olympics was struggling to sell there game to countries as not many wanted it as saw it was a waste of a lot of money and the bidding of it is nothing near the world cup as no really watching it now.
But that's the problem is that we insinuate the way that things are ran there as being bad. But it's simply not our battle to fight corruption and dirty money is how these companies have always ran despite transparency that we want or however much we push them the fans of this sport are simply that fans have never had any power in the structure with which FIFA or any governing body in the world of soccer is managed you can complain all you want and set bladder and the rest of the oil tariffs will sit back and laugh because it's the way things will continue to be done. Because quite frankly that's the only way they've ever been done..

Hey man, I appriciate the effort you 've put into this. The only problem is your sponsor. Established Titles is a scam, it's not possible to “Purchase a personal Lordship or Ladyship Title Pack with dedicated land in Scotland.”
Lols Western hypocrisy , Beijing Olympics ok ,, Russian Olympics .. Colonial US & Europe Olympics with ongoing human abuses all across the world and mine in Africa is OK BUT QATAR … oh human rights … hypocrisy .. keep the politics out of game.
Johnny, your promotion in this video is a scam. Other UA-camrs and sleuths have found that buying a 1x1 foot of land in Scotland does not make you a lord. You can't own a small plot of an estate and be a lord. Only the owner of the entire estate can have that title. In fact, Scottish courts have already ruled on this and the Established Titles company is simply lying. The Leagle Eagle made a video about it today. I like your videos, but if you want people to take your channel and information seriously, please vet your sponsors. It could make others question the authenticity of your channel.
It's not entirely fair to frame it like this. Johnny does say "you're considered a lord" which is different to saying that you're royal. It's like buying a doctorate's title and then you're considered a doctor of astrology and you can call yourself that as there are no legal protections on these titles. Also if you think about it for more than two seconds it would be very stupid for every homeowner in Scotland to be a royal so it's not that horrible imo. Probably still more on the scammy side but not really harmful imo.
THIS. So disappointed Johnny didn't do his research on EstablishedTitles seeing as research is what he does for a living. More info for those interested: ua-cam.com/video/p2W2TJZYHsw/v-deo.html
I agree it's a scam but I do think hindsight is 2020. they seemed legit enough, and it would take so much time to do such deep dives into every sponsor to catch these smalls lies that can turn into big fraud
Football is not just a sport , it’s a Business as well . When US can control all the selling power of all the oil market , QATAR just invested their money . Western media just need to stop crying . It’s the western countries who are corrupt QATAR just sought the opportunity for their future.
The context bro.. Johnny Harris is telling about sponsors on football jersey.. sponsors on national team jersey in world cup is not too OBVIOUS like in, let's say, Premier League.
One more thing to add: Much like NBA's regular season, football leagues and major cups are played August through March, so players are all set for any major events that happen in Summer, like the World Cup. Interrupting a season in November is simply unheard of. Most major leagues literally had games last weekend.
And then the epl doesn't even have a winter break like the rest of Europe but in fact more games than usual as its tradition to have football during the holidays (boxing day footy is huge).
And this is all happening after a packed COVID schedule last year. Feel bad for the players. Especially the ones that got hurt and may never get to go to a World Cup.
{Only-&-only to the OP & those who "👍" his parent-comment till the successful-posting of this reply: }Your operative-term, “major leagues”, comes across as very Capitalist-normative of you.
to give an idea of how bizarre it is to host the world cup in Qatar, they had to move the schedule to winter otherwise the weather would have been unbearably hot. so this year all the national leagues have a two months hiatus right in the middle to let this happen

They hired David Atkins, who worked on Sydney's 2000 Summer Olympics opening and closing as the artistic director and producer (and would proceed to produce the Vancouver 2010 ceremonies as well), to show the world that Qatar meant business. And meant business they did. The cauldron for these Games was placed at the top of what would be the tallest structure in Qatar until Dubai Towers Doha is completed, the Aspire Tower. Only thing is I wish you had touched on Russias bid in 2018 a bit more. England and USA were clear cut front runners for 2018 and 2022 respectively so touching on that could have been very informative. Yes do a video on the Qatar investment authority, please! One thing that i just learned about it is that in 2008, when swiss banks (namely UBS and Credit Suisse) got in trouble, the first one was bailed out by the government and the swiss national bank. On the other hand tho.. credit suisse got a cash injection by the Qatar investment authority in exchange of shares. As a swiss i never heard about this until a few weeks ago when I was researching the topic. I always thought they were both bailed out by the government, and most of the people i talked to were also convinced of the same. I'm sure there are many many other instances of similar stuff happening, would love to hear it from you.
I've just read up on how Michel Platini admitted that the draw for World Cup 1998 was fixed to increase the chances of France (Host Nation) and Brazil not meeting one another until the final (providing both teams won their games along the way). This was done to create a Dream Final of Brazil (defending champions) Vs. (Host Nation) France. I sometimes tell people that they don't understand how the world and life within it works. Many things presented to us haven't happened organically, even some of the choices we think we're making, have already been made for us.

In fact, the plot you have “bought” can be sold to other people as well since it’s not registered."

Interesting how South Korea and Japan submitted their own bids for the 2022 World Cup. Because they did the exact same thing for the 2002 World Cup. The reason they ended up co-hosting in 2002? Well Mexico was the only other nation besides them that wanted to host, but FIFA said them hosting was a long shot, so it was between South Korea and Japan. South Korea entered the race in response to Japan doing so as a political rivalry. South Korea and Japan were going all out on an expensive PR blitz to try to outdo each other. While then FIFA boss João Havelange supported a Japanese bid, the UEFA and AFC sought to come up with a better solution. To avoid conflict, they approached the two nations and said the 2002 World Cup would ONLY happen IF they shared it. So reluctantly, they both agreed (FIFA even suggested North Korea should host some matches as part of reunification talks; but that was ruled out). But like with other World Cups, the 2002 one doesn't come without controversy, as South Korea cheated their way to the semi-finals as they got the referees on their side.
Yes, to my knowledge FIFA World Cup has always been about bidding to be a host, even the Olympics and Asian Games use the same bid method for hosting the games. And after a country secured their bid, they would started building their stadiums. I don't understand why this didn't become an issue before Qatar World Cup started.

And then the epl doesn't even have a winter break like the rest of Europe but in fact more games than usual as its tradition to have football during the holidays (boxing day footy is huge).

Also the biggest reason why Qatar spend so much money (200M+) is because they didn’t have any of the infrastructure to host. Surely the number will drop back down significantly for the 2026 WC hosted in North America where stadiums and hotels already exist.

Please do an entire video on Quatar investment authority. It would be really interesting to know where they invest and how the influence the companies / places afterwards. Yep. The way he presents maybe appealing to some but it reminds me of some ghost hunter trying to hype shit up for nothing. The exposition is half the video and his points are so poor and obsure.

I think because the first World Cup only had 13 nations in 1930, so it wasn't very broad at first.

FYI Established Titles isn't being honest - you can't just gain a title like that from buying up a small piece of land; it won't be recognised, and if you ever try to flaunt it to somebody in the know, you would be mocked.
Also it's worth noting that: "The Land Registration (Scotland) Act 2012 clearly states that souvenir plots can’t be registered with the Land Register of Scotland which means you don’t actually legally own the land. In fact, the plot you have “bought” can be sold to other people as well since it’s not registered."
So how does one properly become a Scottish Lord then?
@@Jose.AFT.Saddul There's no such thing as a Scottish Lord, only UK Peers. You have to join the House of Lords in London. Membership is by government appointment or inheritance, you can't purchase it.

you can apply this same logic to the previously held world cups, you will notice a similar approach might have used to influence the voters and win the bid. As you rightly said it's about money, power and influence. Nov-2022 Now the stage is set for excitement, people will judge now how Qatar has performed after winning the bid and can manage to win the hearts of soccer fans.
Qatar can win no hearts of anybody since they implied Islamic law on soccer fans in a GLOBAL organisation. Eveyone will remember their behavior and corrupted FIFA managers. That's what it is.
qatar got beat out on the starting rounds sheesh
Qatar isnt winning shit from anyone or anything. They have no place in this sport until they stop discriminating.
The World finally saw Qatar for what they are, Cheats living under a facade of "peace" and "hospitality" for media to cover up the vile people they are. Everything that gets exposed is now being justified by pointing the finger away just like you have done. Sports and sporting sponsors have now realized how restrictive it is to host anything in The middle East and will rule out any other major events in the future as it will impact sponsors and revenue to the sport. Whether the backlash of media or western media is accurate or not it is still the major media that speaks to the world and affects the view of how the world will look at Qatar.

Hi Johnny! I would like to see a video about Qatar Investment Authority tbh. As their hands are in like literally everything in every country
@@nutzhazel def agree, a lot of similarities between FIFA WC and The Olympics w/ the olympic bid process literally using the word "bid" lol.... but also interesting how Qatar was super vilified yet they were far from the only or worst examples.... wonder if there's any hidden racism in that one...
