It's PanOceania! But with Smoke! And Hacking! Ok, yes, *technically*, it very much is that. Buy it's not as broken as you'd think, although an N3 player would probably have either apoplexied or straight up nutted if you'd explained that a faction would exist that let Nisses smoke shoot (although they'd have wondered why you were exciting about hacking, since all hackers back then were just models that could be killed with Redrum). Instead, White Company is an occasionally fragile, reasonably limited but very technically capable faction that bolts on to the side of an existing PanOceanian collection exceptionally well while giving a taste of all the forbidden fruits your faction is denied. Strong recommend.
I’ve been playing a bunch of White Company and have a couple of observations. The Jujak Tinbot, while pricey, can really help the Haidao and Valerya’s lack of BTS. I have also run a list with a Hawkwood Lieutenant and Taowu as a Second Hawkwood. It is deeply silly and you are giving up too much to do it, but it is not unusable. I took Chaksa Longarms to a 2 day tournament before we heard White Co were staying in N5 just so I’d used every profile. The only thing I could say for them is that the prize support for the wooden spoon I won was really quite good…
Great video! I am honored you took my request. And yes, White Co not White Banner, I also double checked my request having said the following, "Yeah, Nisses look great!" "Uh, yeah, Pan-O has some cool models...." and then went back to the White Banner conversation I had mistakenly interrupted. I like the Svalarheima miniatures, but I didn't feel it so strongly as to get fully immersed into a sectorial that may be going away soon. White Co seemed to be a great excuse to pick up some miniatures I liked without the guilt of having a robust HVT collection. Thank you again, can't wait for the N5 content to start rolling out!
Started collecting with Pan-O and ended up actually starting playing with White Co. Really enjoy that they have a tool for everything, may not be the best tool but it beats nothing and has enabled me to learn to play various play styles with one sectorial.
The Operation Kaldstrom box is the perfect White Co starter set given so much of it is basically Sval and White Banner that have learned to play nicely together.
Always incredible work on the guides! As a sometimes White-co player, here be my personal observations: -Guilang Hackers: Pricey? Yes. But for 30 points for camp and good WIP - they are solid for guaranteeing you will get objectives done. They are also fair gunfighters, so with surprise attack - I find them decent for opening the way when your harder fire pieces might take too many orders to get there? Having mimetism while denying others their mimetism is so good too. In general, I find that they are a form of insurance. They seem to win or draw games for me that is disportioncate to their cost. Or, opponent spends too many orders to lodge them out - leaving them vulnerable to other avenues. Additional points for drip. -Hawkwood 41 points for K1 is a lot. And as wip14 lots are rare in WhiteCo, it is a bit of a tell. Melee is a bit of an odd place as well, not reliable enough to take melee fights. Buuuuut, it does put Hawkwood in an interesting position where you just aren’t getting a situation where an opponent can comfortably kill them. Most apex gunfighters don’t like the K1. Melee models getting into Hawkwood is order intensive… and even then it is a bit dicey (outside of cheap berserk models). If you need to throw someone in the midfield, you can do a lot worse than Hawkwood. 0 SWC helps - as you are being backed by at least 2 other good guns. Also, points for drip. In lieu of Kaplan LTs (CB please give us Kaplan LTs and hackers pleaaase), like to think of Hawkwood as a heroic Kaplan rather than a character :P
I played the 5 orc core fireteam and i must say that while 4* bs13 karhu feuerbach is great 3*bs20 feuerbach gives it run for it's money. Same thing goes for hmg, and bs 23 boarding shotgun lol. It really is Pan-O with some smoke and good hacking. Thank You for the material Robert.
I like the winter-themed factions! Since I played WinterFor with a bit of a hacking-focus as well (KoJ Hacker in a haris with Orc Tinbot and a Blade and 2 Peacemakers on the field ^^) I might give White Company a shot at some point.
WhiteCo being what was essentially a "Oh, you bought Kaldstrom? here's a secret third army!" made me excited for Crimson Company when Crimson stone came out, but alas, it seems CB does not share my enthusiasm for those kinds of value adds. 😥
Interesting to see how the Fire team rules affect whiteco! I belive you could harris link 2x jj & orc, or duo karhus, for +1b, both seem neat. The capped +1bs also makes full fusilier cores a lot less attractive.
We don't have much information. Speculatively, I don't expect a lot of changes because I don't expect NA2 armies to receive a ton of developer attention (just inherit changes from their parent armies as unit profiles adjust) - but that's just a guess.

Let it never be said that Chaksa Longarms never contributed to anything.
@@R0bertShepherd Oh, it was rough, I'd taken a Kunai as well.
@@TimothyEdwardsI spent a few months trying to get use out of the Kunai ninja. At least I really like the model.

Here’s hoping for Corregidor soon, if only so my brain can rest easy knowing all three nomad sectorials got reviewed

41:50 Shotguns are supposed to become cheaper in N5 so unless they hit him with more bloat the Minelayer Guillang could get to 25points.
That's something I hadn't seen and could be very interesting if so. Is there an official source for that, or people speculating based on profiles?
I’m pretty sure Carlos said something about it in a comment during the OTT demo game. But it’s still subject to change, naturally

Aren't they gonn change alot by N5 release? Or will they stay the same? Sorry still watching the video
