Thanks for the heads up. My guess is we got it from the same place they did . In the bible it says this in Colossians 1:15
"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God"
Our song is symbolically painting a picture of Christs life on earth. We tried to end the song as brutal as possible symbolizing his brutal death on the cross that He died for our sins. Because God hates sin but is also merciful God took upon himself the wrath sin deserves so we can be forgiven of our sins. In response to His love we can reach out and ask God for His forgiveness believing that Jesus paid the price for our sins. Then out of grateful hearts for that gift we repent of our sins. Anyway I know that's a lot but that was what was in our heads writing the song.
