Celebrity, this is your best class of ship. I say this because it has the combination of deck space and spas, variety of restaurants, variety of lounges (something you've seen to have forgotten about in the IMO disappointing Edge class ships), and stateroom accommodations. The decor still has that Celebrity modern art-deco and rich look about it that earlier ships had as well. I hope you bring back some of the features of this ship on your post-Edge class ships. I'm not a fan of the classes but that does seem part of your cruise line.
Just off the silhouette. We always cruise with celebrity. However now that it’s all inclusive it’s turned into a booze cruise with people sat around the bars all day. Celebrity was once a sophisticated five star ship. If you are lucky enough to find a seat away from the bar it’s quite a wait for a waiter. Because all the drink’s are Prepaid celebrity are not too bothered. Before all inclusive waiter’s were asking you would you like drink about every twenty minutes.
The "always included" is gone now. Celebrity now offers the option of paying only for the cruise, or for more money, you can have drinks, tips and basic Wi-Fi included in the fare. I think people probably complained about the "always included" because there are many people who do not drink for different reasons, so it was unfair for them to pay for alcohol they were not drinking. Therefore, now it is optional.
I just got off the equinox and I paid for the premium beverage package and I never had trouble getting a drink. Most was a 3-5 minute wait. I’m sailing on this boat in December then December of next year I’m riding in the apex.
I won’t be going on a Celebrity cruise. Booked one thinking flights were included, they were on our first celebrity cruise. They weren’t, and getting to Venice turned out to be incredibly tough. So, the following day after booking we tried to cancel. Lost over £300. They wouldn’t budge. So we are not and are not booking a cruise with them again.
I'm with you. Their website clearly states that there are no costs of cancellation until after a given date. Then, when you cancel just a few days after booking, they not only hit you with a smallish cash penalty but make you take a cruise credit for the balance. We may or may not book something to eat up that small cruise credit but the whole experience was unpleasant and I don't cruise to have unpleasant things happen to me.
Maybe you should've researched a little more. Never heard of flights EVER being included. Also the fact that Venice was hard to get to is not their fault. Sounds pretty entitled and unprepared of you.
I just checked and the info on cancellation fees are right in your face before you even pay. Looks like someone got caught lacking. Nice taking out your anger on some Celebrity UA-cam video for your own shortcomings.
