I agree 1000%. The scene in prison when he kept begging PLEASE made me cry all over again. I can see why he has been nicknamed the Rookie Monster. He is such a gifted actor. I wonder what his new nickname will be since he is no longer a rookie.

This scene has persuaded me to watch the drama, i was so moved even I don’t know what kind of relationship the characters were, and I can’t believe it’s the first two episode, the emotion was so intense and they cooperate very well... After I watch these episodes I understand more of the plot and this scene still got me crying... respect!!

In another interview,Se jong said that he think that Woodokwan is very manly and he was impressed🤭 Sejong is like a boy who admire his older brother.
@@kanokpooh3681 Do Hwan is only 5 months older than Se Jong and I read an interview with Do Hwan from 2018 that he watched the drama Duel and said what a good actor Se Jong is and that he also read an interview of Se Jong and is impressed with the good mind he has. He also said that he had not yet met Se Jong and that he if he gets the chance in the future that he feels they would become friends. How cute is that! A year later they work together and I think it is clear that they have become friends. In BTW footage, Do Hwan is helping Se Jong to adjust his costume and later is fixing his man bun. They even hugged a lot. So Cute! In footage with the other actors they are both having a good time shooting and interacting with them when the camera was not rolling, but when these two were together they both had a whole other happiness on a different level. You can tell they clicked on a personal level and have become friends. They not only respect each other as professionals but genuinely like each other. I love these two and can not wait until they work together again.
ikr! In part 2 of the Netflix show with them playing Janga, Do Hwan said that he never met anyone that is as nice and caring as Se Jong and how amazed he was with that. Se Jong just blushed. They are so cute together.
His character Do Hwan in My Country was definitely A THING!! We, not only Sejong should have a ManCrush on Do Hwan.

i love how dohwan remembers most of the scenes even the ones hes not in. hes so devoted to his work its so charming. and the chemistry off screen is even better than on screen you can see how friendly they all are with each other.

It's her best role yet! Reminds me of Shin Se-kyung pre-6 Flying Dragons but she really showed her acting chops in that drama and has improved so much.
Seolhyun isn't amazing but she definitely hasn't been distracting and has played her role well imo!

Hwi's scene in prison made me cry all over again. He just torn my heart out in that scene. And did you see how intensely DoHwan was watching that scene. I like how they respect each others works.
This show is probably the best Kdrama I’ve ever seen. It’s so underrated. Not an episode went by where I didn’t want to cry due to the emotional attachment to each character. The acting was exceptional!!!
Saw how immersed Yang Sejong while watching the clip make me think that's why he's a great actor, he easily immerse and feel the character, easily moved and feel emotional
He is such an amazing actor and I can see why he was getting lead roles after only one drama as a second lead. That rarely happens. He is so handsome too.

This "sageuk" is a perfect historical drama : storyline, tension, suspense, the whole atmosphere, but, firstly and mainly, α great cast {-from the eldest actor to the youngest...}.

Yang Se Jong - Just how much adorable can a man get? He is so cute. The way he looks, his voice and the way he gets shy is so pure. I love him so much. Also he is really really good at acting. I have seen a few of his dramas and he has done a variety of roles. Hope he gets more recognition. ❤😍
Ohhh the kite scene made me cry! Like Do-Hwan said that was the only scene that they were truly happy...
And honestly it wasn’t even when they were truly happy because Seon-ho could tell his feelings were one-sided and she was looking not at him but at another man, his best friend. Though I will agree, this is the happiest scene we could get which makes it even more bittersweet.
The fact that Yang Sejeong is the most junior amongst the cast says a lot about his capabilities. All of them did great. This is such a great drama!
He is only 5 months younger than DoHwan so they are basically both the juniors of the drama. But Seo-jong's acting ability is as if he has been acting for 20 years, he is that good.
Look how seolhyun so calm when explain and respond every two handsome men talk with her. And I love about seolhyun is when she talk and respond them she always look at into their eyes. Its mean they already close and comfrotable each others.

My country is one of the best Historical Drama that I've ever seen. All star cast with great cinematography and story. I didn't know that friendship can be this heartbreaking yet beautiful. The acting were superb especially from these three. Let's give them lots of love. ❤️

Then in My Country, he shows so many expressions and gives so many colors to Seo Hwi. He is brave, fierce, gentle, cool, desperate, heartwarming, badass, sexy, heartbreaking, beautiful... His performance is superb from the beginning to the end.

Totally agree! All the male leads were brilliant. Jang Hyuk as always. The ambiguous and tenuous friendships or allyships are so beautifully portrayed by these actors in this poignant, heartbreaking drama. The friendships were defs the main event for me. The romance was a sideshow.
you know those dramas where you forget time even exists because you’re so immersed in the storyline and never want it to end? that’s My Country. Every single scene is amazing and the cast is perfect. Love it so so much. It’s so difficult choosing Team Hwi or Team Seonho😭 I want the ending to be happy and not tragic but we all feel it wont be😭 cant wait to see more episodes!!

i love my country too! even before the drama started i couldnt wait for it, because alone the fact that the two rookie/ young actors i love the most are playing together in one drama had me hyped! tho, if i had to choose between sejong and dohwan, it would always be dohwan... so i cant help to be team seonho xD you should watch dohwan in the drama "Mad Dog", he is amazing in there as well!
This is an epic drama. My favorite is Se Jong for sure, but I do also like Do Hwan. They have the best bromance I have ever seen. Two very talented and handsome actors and I can't wait for them to work together again.
@@sarahbosch9660 They are both excellent actors the respect each other professionally and connected on a personal level too. Really no reason for there to be teams IMO. Although I am a huge Se Jong fan and he is my favorite ever since I saw him in Duel which is amazing, I also really like Do Hwan and support both of them. Do Hwan's next drama is with Lee Min Ho and I really wish Do Hwan was lead because (no offense to LMH fans) but I think his acting is over rated, so I will watch for Do Hwan.

Yesss I agree with you totally. I am not that much of a fan of LMH as everyone else seems to be. Also I am just waiting for dohwan to have his first own lead role where he doesn't share that spot with someone else like in mad dog for example. I am gonna watch the new drama for dohwan rather than Minho too >.
Sejong in this drama was just sooooo good! No wonder he was called monster rookie while acting for Duel. This is what Yoo In Sik (Romantic Dr Teacher Kim 1&2 PD) said that the three new actors in the RDTK (including Seo Eun Soo and Kim Min Jae) were bound to be in lead roles sooner than later. Yang Se Jong monster actor indeed.
I have to say, to see two actors, play their roles so incredible. They are both great. Both took me to tears . And the young lady was good.

I knew Se Jong from Temperature of Love,then I watched My country and I was speechless,my favorite historical drama so far,his acting was impeccable and I have never cried so much in my whole life. I’m currently watching Thirty but seventeen and i’m regretting not having seen before,I watched 25 eps in two days. I really really like him,and guess what? my luck pursues me! I couldn’t wait to see him acting again in another drama and he’s going to the army?WHY CRUEL WORLD WHY.

I liked Yang se jong and woo do hwan almost the same time from duel and save me. I was rooting for both of them as rookie actors and now they are working together. They’re acting are both really good and this drama is good.

I am from the United States and I am new to watching K-Dramas. I honestly thought this was one of the best series I saw this year. The acting was superb, the writing was excellent, the directing was perfect...I laughed a little, cried a little, and absolutely loved the action with love story in between. Not to mention that the Men in the series are All Beautiful!!! Wow!! Jang Hyuk is not in this interview, he is very handsome as well!! Thank You Kim Jin-Wong and Chae-Seung-Dae for creating and sharing such a fantastic show.

When Wo Do Hwan said they shot the only happy scene to be as happy as possible so the tragedy later hits hard, I felt that, because it really worked. During the scene where it refers back to the start of ep 1 i just thought 'how did this all come to be?'
that happy scene was everything, but it made eveything 10x sadder than it would've been without it.

I just finished the drama yesterday. My heart really hurts. I have been thinking about them all the time.. I know it was just a drama, but I‘m happy to see them again ㅠㅠ The entire cast was great. 12:14 was my absolutely favorite scene of the show! (This and the scene where Seon-ho and Hwi died, there so much imagery. I cried A LOT during the last episode) The way the music slowed down and everyone was fighting in slow motion while Hwi and Seon-ho stared each other down. That scene was so wholesome, I stg. Amazing kdrama, I wished it didn’t end. 😭

This was one of the best K-dramas I've ever seen. It was spell-binding, start to finish, but then I went in LOVING Sejong and Doowan from earlier dramas. Highly recommended.

@@SeekingtheTruthofGod If you're talking about Woo Dohwan (the guy on the right), I think it was extensions. It's very unlikely that guys can grow hair that long within a relatively short period of time, let alone girls. I believe the bangs are real, though. They kept the front part of the actor's hair and put on a wig or extensions for the back.
sejong, I have the biggest crush on him aaaaaaaaaaaaa I literally love all the drama he's starring in, tho he's a new actor, but his capabilities are sooooooooo admirable.
When watching this serie, I literally cried on every episode. Kim Seolhyun is so freaking gorgeous in that Korean Tradition clothing. My favorite part of episode 6 was when Seolhyun and Yang Se-Jong saw each other even when Seolhyun thought he was dead because of the war. It was the best moment.❤❤ great acting. love yall!

Yang Sejong is Seo Hwi and Seo Hwi is Yang Sejong. I am hooked after I watched My Country, tracking down ALL of Yang Sejong's Kdramas. This kid is someone to look forward too and praying he is safe in his military duties now.

Yang Sejong is a genius actor. His acting is extremely smart, realistic and emotional at the same time. He will indeed go far because of his incredible talent, and because he is also such a passionate and humble person.

I just finished watching this Drama and I must say it is as immersive as a black hole. So amazing that you keep wanting more and more everytime. ALL the actors did a huge job. They make us cry, rage, linger, love and scream as we were living with the characters. So, I salute them very much for such an amazing job!

They all are great! Their characters are complex but they fit them really well. I love their chemistry! The war/fight scenes are the best!

the acting here by main actors is SUPERB. JUST REMARKBLE.
I don’t know why no one warned me that I would bawl my eyes out this whole series. The writers went to the depths of pain and misery to find source material for this drama….the actors did such an amazing job, Sunho, Hwi and Yeon love for one another was the purest most tragic I’ve ever scene in film

I absolutely love their friendship and their bond is really amazing too see them treat each other like that and „Hwi“ really likes his sister even in real live how he talks about her too adorable.

The acting was really on point for this drama, especially the 5 male leads. And the pacing was really excellent, no draggy bits anywhere.

I went through all the emotions in this drama. It’s BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Yang Se-jong was a revelation for me. I cannot fully explain how emotional and fascinated I got while watching him play Seo Hwi. He is such a gifted and passionate actor. This particular scene in prison is incredible, I felt so heartbroken and panicked I cried so much. It shows how good Yang Se-jong is at expressing and conveying his character feelings, his acting skills are something else... There's so much scenes were I was astonished by his talent.
While we don't have the chance to see Jang Hyuk in this video, I was also mesmerized by how well he interpreted his role, which is a difficult and ambivalent one, he's SO charismatic, as well as Woo Do-Hwan who did such an impressive job too. This cursed friendship between him and Seo Hwi is really beautiful. The entire cast of My Country is pure gold, but those three were the ones where I couldn't look away, I was glued to my screen, anticipating, screaming, groaning, fearing, crying... just feeling everything with them.
I rarely seen any historical drama were everything was as perfect as this one. The storyline, the intricate plot, the complicated relationships, the acting, the characterization is amazing, the OST gave me goosebumps in every single action or tense scene, the cinematrophy is emaculate, the combat scenes are so far the most beautiful and impressive I've seen in any historical drama...
Really I don't have the words to describe how fond I am of My Country. If you haven't already, go watch it, and watch it again, and again...
I cannot wait for Yang Se-jong to have another main role in an historical piece of art like this!

I love this so much, such a great storyline, such a good casting, it captivated me from the first episode, I laughed, I was emotional, I was so angry, and I cried so deeply, it has so much that it was one of a kind for me, I did not expect the ending, it took me a couple of days to deal with the ending I was so frustrated, I was not happy with it, not that it was that good, it was excellent I just did not see that coming, overall, love it, congrats,.
