    The city cleans those out. Don't listen to this guy, does he not realize they get filled up from road debris, soil, leaves etc. A few lawn clippings aint hurting anything

      And you will be the first person to complain about it when it happens in your neighborhood. I agree with the video, please don’t add to the problem.

      @@larrygarloffii6732 I'm not calling or complaining. And I've never seen a storm drain clog with a handful of tiny grass clippings. Maybe you live in a poor area where Strom drain maintenance is not in the budget

    Stop making trivial content for views. That wouldn’t stop city system nor does the trash people get down inlet. Blow into yard because it’s where it goes and overall healthy good practice for lawn

  • @suttonfamily8061

    It is enticing but I've seen some guys, do it and what happens is a lot debris clogs, the Drain, and the street can potentially flood... also it can make the curb appearance of the property look like crap and can flood there area. Also what in can do down into the drain, can result in bigger problems. So Sean is definitely correct guys, take the time to blow it back into the grass...

    Just curious what state this is? Shouldn't you have some inlet protection since you're working in the street and there's a possibility of some of those pollutants entering the storm sewer?

    • @omarrwilliams9209
      @omarrwilliams9209 7 днів тому

      Likely not any pollutants going down except zinc and some metals from automotive wear on the road. Grass going down won’t do too much, since it’s just organic material, might only elevate parameters such as TKN or BOD.

    Grass is one thing, but somebody's got to dump their 5 gallon bucket of used motor oil somewhere in the dead of night when it gets too full.

    • @MsOtis57
      @MsOtis57 6 днів тому

      We have a neighbor that has an enormous fish fryer. He would often pour the used cooking oil in our alley next to a utility box, at night. We have a camera on our garage that recorded him. I think one night he heard the camera beep and hasn't done it since. But I wonder where he's dumping it now. Also, we had another neighbor that poured his used motor oil in the alley. We turned that one in to the health department. They took care of him! People suck.
