Going through the same with my dad, he was 54 when diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumour, was given 6-12months. he's still going and back working with me 4 years on mate. Never give up and never stop planning for your life miracles do happen.
I feel for this guy I'm learning to walk again after a 2nd brain tumour. I lost my Dad a month ago and my big brother 2 weeks before Christmas. I've got an Audi A4 that I've owned 15 years I've been royally messed about getting it out of storage to get it back on the road. It's heavily modified supercharged v6 with an lpg conversion I bought ALL the suspension parts to refresh the car 18 months ago and the car's been sat in storage since while I've been in recovery.
To add to this I lost my identical twin brother and fellow petrol head to a car crash on xmas day 1989 caused by a drunk driver .He was driving his 205 Gti .I built the A4 as something he would have loved especially the whining supercharger sound it's like something out of mad max.And always makes me smile.
get yourself well enough to at least supervise repairs first. Then I'd be more than happy to drive over, fit the suspension and any other tinkering needed. car people gotta help car people
I have sat through this and just cried, i didn't even do this when i lost my father or in fact any other traumatic time in my life. This story was the catalyst and boy when you hear about stories like this it makes you look at your own life and realise those problems of day to day life are so insignificant in comparison. I just wanted to put my arms out and hug matt and tell him how very sorry i am to hear his sad story, not only with what he's going through but also his mom, this should not be happening to this lad his mom or in fact anybody, life is at times bitterly sad and cruel, i'm just so so sorry. Alex is a remarkable guy as are his team, i watch them not only here but also car throttle, they're real people with hearts and incredible empathy and understanding. This story has shattered me today to the point i have cancelled my evening out, i'm gonna use the money and donate to this cause, not only for matt but his entire family, they all deserve it and i hope everybody reading this comment can please do the same. Watching this video broke me all over again. I am currently in remission from high and low grade non Hodgkin Lymphoma which I have been for a short while, watching UA-cam ( car throttle and others) got me through the long dark days. Alex I always thought you came across as a nice person and you always make me laugh, what you have done for this family I know from personal experience is life changing. Not as in you have made them cash Rich because that doesn’t matter, you’re health is your wealth. What you have given them is smiles and most importantly memories. If I ever get to meet you I’d like to shake your hand sir! Matt, I’m sorry you have been affected by this terrible disease I really am. I know you weren’t given a choice other than to be brave but you are brave, braver than you think. Keep being you! Get those tattoos and whatever else makes you smile for a moment, and as I’m sure you know, live in the moment. I’m miles away but I’ll try to get to Mattwood 💚

Had me in tears. I'm not going through anything like it, I couldn't even imagine. But "you're owed nothing" really resonated with me. I go through tough times financially and keep thinking no matter what I do nothing works. I keep thinking why me, but in reality, tough times don't chose me. People underestimate the importance of a good memory. Brought my mum back home from her chemo some 800km away when that didn't work out. Was one massive trip with tight schedule and everything, but it worked out surprisingly well. Cannot put into words how much energy I got out of that memory over time, as draining as it may have been back then.
What a story. Your a genuinely nice geezer and i think this is why so many of us support your channel. What your doing is incredible and you are a awesome person for doing this. What a shit bit of luck that poor bloke and his family has had! We all need to go on to the go fund me and donate a few quid. Also if any one has a few pounds spare even a quid a month would massively help the Royal Marsden Hospital. There quality of care towards my terminally ill auntie was Brilliant, they go beyond the call of duty to make sure there patients have the care they need and kept as comfortable as they possibly can. I feel for this man. When my dad was diagnosed with terminal lukemia he was similar. We owned retirement homes around our city and he was the hardest working person you would meet. Always bike everywhere ( he was a mad cyclist and would go 140km a day on his bike too and from ) and he always wanted a really nice watch. I bought him a brand new Tudor watch as a gift to make him keep fighting ( he was at 3rd round of chemo at this point ) He wore it every day while he was alive and 6 months later passed. Little did I know that during this time he had it engraved on the back with "Always proud of you son! love dad!" and his partner gave it back to me with the engraving done. Its one of my most prized possessions and is priceless in my mind and just reminds me of Matts situation.
As a fellow dad with a kid who's had to go through the unthinkable I would really encourage everyone to donate to their family. If you're in the US would you also take a minute to consider donating a little bit monthly to your local Ronald McDonald house charity? They feed and house families like ours while kids are hospitalized or undergoing treatment.

My brother made it five years with the exact same diagnosis as Matt. Not one day did he feel sorry for himself, question why him, or give up. Matt's attitude reminds me so much of my brother. What's happening here is amazing - it's the positive vibes that keep people and their families going. It's a far trip from Canada to Mattwood but I'll come home for the 2023 version

Cancer is a horrific diagnosis for anyone, whether the recipient of the diagnosis or family, let alone, two recipients in the same family. Keep up the fantastic work, my thoughts go out to anyone with a diagnosis such as this, and especially to Matt’s dad and sister who have clearly sacrificed a lot to be with Matt and his mum and help them with so much at this difficult time ♥️

Would of loved to come and support but was a little late for tickets. We've had a roller coaster week in and out of hospital and received help from some amazing people so we're here to pass on the love and help matt and his family. I knew a lady who was diagnosed with cancer years ago and she became quite depressed about it all and what stuck with me is the moment she came through the depression and instead of saying why me she said "well actually, why not me" I've always found it amazing how strong people can be.

I've got an Audi A4 that I've owned 15 years I've been royally messed about getting it out of storage to get it back on the road. It's heavily modified supercharged v6 with an lpg conversion I bought ALL the suspension parts to refresh the car 18 months ago and the car's been sat in storage since while I've been in recovery.

To add to this I lost my identical twin brother and fellow petrol head to a car crash on xmas day 1989 caused by a drunk driver .He was driving his 205 Gti .I built the A4 as something he would have loved especially the whining supercharger sound it's like something out of mad max.And always makes me smile.

I have sat through this and just cried, i didn't even do this when i lost my father or in fact any other traumatic time in my life. This story was the catalyst and boy when you hear about stories like this it makes you look at your own life and realise those problems of day to day life are so insignificant in comparison.
I just wanted to put my arms out and hug matt and tell him how very sorry i am to hear his sad story, not only with what he's going through but also his mom, this should not be happening to this lad his mom or in fact anybody, life is at times bitterly sad and cruel, i'm just so so sorry.
Alex is a remarkable guy as are his team, i watch them not only here but also car throttle, they're real people with hearts and incredible empathy and understanding.
This story has shattered me today to the point i have cancelled my evening out, i'm gonna use the money and donate to this cause, not only for matt but his entire family, they all deserve it and i hope everybody reading this comment can please do the same.

Watching this video broke me all over again. I am currently in remission from high and low grade non Hodgkin Lymphoma which I have been for a short while, watching UA-cam ( car throttle and others) got me through the long dark days.
Alex I always thought you came across as a nice person and you always make me laugh, what you have done for this family I know from personal experience is life changing. Not as in you have made them cash Rich because that doesn’t matter, you’re health is your wealth.
What you have given them is smiles and most importantly memories.

Had me in tears. I'm not going through anything like it, I couldn't even imagine. But "you're owed nothing" really resonated with me. I go through tough times financially and keep thinking no matter what I do nothing works. I keep thinking why me, but in reality, tough times don't chose me. People underestimate the importance of a good memory. Brought my mum back home from her chemo some 800km away when that didn't work out. Was one massive trip with tight schedule and everything, but it worked out surprisingly well. Cannot put into words how much energy I got out of that memory over time, as draining as it may have been back then.
What a story. Your a genuinely nice geezer and i think this is why so many of us support your channel. What your doing is incredible and you are a awesome person for doing this. What a shit bit of luck that poor bloke and his family has had! We all need to go on to the go fund me and donate a few quid. Also if any one has a few pounds spare even a quid a month would massively help the Royal Marsden Hospital. There quality of care towards my terminally ill auntie was Brilliant, they go beyond the call of duty to make sure there patients have the care they need and kept as comfortable as they possibly can.

I feel for this man. When my dad was diagnosed with terminal lukemia he was similar. We owned retirement homes around our city and he was the hardest working person you would meet. Always bike everywhere ( he was a mad cyclist and would go 140km a day on his bike too and from ) and he always wanted a really nice watch. I bought him a brand new Tudor watch as a gift to make him keep fighting ( he was at 3rd round of chemo at this point ) He wore it every day while he was alive and 6 months later passed. Little did I know that during this time he had it engraved on the back with "Always proud of you son! love dad!" and his partner gave it back to me with the engraving done. Its one of my most prized possessions and is priceless in my mind and just reminds me of Matts situation.

My brother made it five years with the exact same diagnosis as Matt. Not one day did he feel sorry for himself, question why him, or give up. Matt's attitude reminds me so much of my brother. What's happening here is amazing - it's the positive vibes that keep people and their families going. It's a far trip from Canada to Mattwood but I'll come home for the 2023 version

I knew a lady who was diagnosed with cancer years ago and she became quite depressed about it all and what stuck with me is the moment she came through the depression and instead of saying why me she said "well actually, why not me" I've always found it amazing how strong people can be.
