What a difficult job you guys had with that nervous llama. Your compassion and skills in shearing is remarkable. Thank you for tackling such a tough job and doing it do well with such kindness!!! 🦙🦙❤❤❤❤
This baby needs to get to a vet ASAP. That mass needs to be biopsied; the reason for balding explored, etc. I am always so impressed with how you take each individual’s needs to heart to insure that not only do they get the best experience possible but to curb their fear, anxiety and apprehension especially for first time clientele. You and your partner are amazing!
It usually the result of an irritation trapped by the wool; like a foxtail or Russian olive spine. Drain it, put a salve on it and she'll be good to go. Even properly sheared animals sometimes get them.
I so appreciate how gentle and compassionate you are with the animals ❤. I have watched other shearing videos but have never seen anyone so kind and calm.
Thank you especially for the education you share as well as the experience of shearing the animal. You always go the extra mile and for me, you bring memories of my father enjoying the shearing almost as much as the sheep (in the 50’s). Time flies!
I love seeing these animals treated with kindness and gentleness. With the hot weather in your area, I can’t imagine what it’s like for them. I hope this one gets some medical attention for her skin and that bump. Good job!
We had a llama (got her in the fall a couple of years ago) that hadn’t been sheared in about 6 yrs, or handled much apparently 😳. The following spring we caught her and used electric shears on one side and hand shears on the other (to decrease the amount of time required by newbies). Her fibre was matted to her skin, really thick “plates” of it. I felt, no pun intended, so bad for her. Luckily, she didn’t start spitting until we were almost done and it didn’t hit anyone. Didn’t weigh it but it filled the clear garbage bag completely! Had had watched every llama shearing video you had put out to that point, they helped so much and saved a lot of stress for her. We sold her soon after to knowledgeable llama people, I did let them know how she reacted so they would have more understanding when they shaved her next. Thank you for these videos!
Poor llama! I don’t understand how anyone can let their poor animals get so desperately matted - you released her from the bond age of her own coat, THANK YOU. Yes, it’s your job. I understand. But you do it well, and with compassion and care and love, that’s beyond price.
Thank goodness the new owners were fortunate enough to learn of her problems, and to adopt her. You picked the perfect shearers ... they are so wonderful and so caring of the animals ❤❤
As kind, informative and beautiful as your videos are, one wonders of the fibres being used for winterising all manners of permaculture, washed fibers for winterising barns, even homes.
She’s beautiful. Truly beautiful. Thank you for giving her a great new life and wonderful new home. I wonder what was going on in her mind? “This is nice. I’m finally home” I’d imagine.
Hi to both of you, I felt so sorry very quickly for this llama, you both did so well calming, holding her gentle and steady to the fence. The beautiful black underneath all the matts will now hopefully grow in a better condition now she has you both there to help her x ❤️🌻🐝
What a great service you provide. With each challenge, you soar. I hope the infected mass cleare up quickly. Thank you for this much needed service. I enjoy your videos too. ☮
Thank you both for caring for this sweet frightened girl. What a great contribution to her health and sense of comfort. Hope that mass is not sinister.
“Released from her fiber tomb on this June afternoon” Very cool poetic images and sound. Planning to see the shearing marvel on Saturday at the Iowa fair!
compassion and empathy for our kindred creatures on this planet. you, my friend, are an author, a poet. your eloquence and delivery never fail to soothe my spirt. 💜
The movie "The Emperor's New Groove" really did a great job w/capturing the lamas movements!!😂 I can practically hear David Spades voice "CUSCOTOPIA!!"
I can see that you really care about each one you shear. Very satisfying to see before and after! Any animal in your care will receive a haircut with lots of TLC.
Poor thing; I bet she feels so much better and I hope that whoever is taking care of her won’t let it get this bad again
She said she's new to the farm so they bought her in that condition
She walked away LITE like walking on air 🌬🌬❤❤❤

She's new to the farm, they received her in that condition and are getting her the help she needs.
She’s feeling so much relief and a lot cooler now❤❤❤
I love how gentle and caring you are with these animals. She may not appreciate you during the process but I know she appreciates it later.
I wonder if they remember when Lorenzo comes back for his next shearing
Absolutely! Recognizing differences (and the similarities) in another species is the halmark of evolution @@jennyfab312
Bless you for your gentleness. The animals deserve our compassion and kindness.
Poor baby💔
Thank you❤️
She seemed to calm down with you, your empathy and skill gave her confidence you were not trying to hurt her. So giving of your heart, thank you!

Yes. I think she looked confused and happy at the same time.

Best day of her life. I hope the mass is benign... like ingrown hair.
