Stewart has changed a lot . I like how he stood up to Phil . He made Phil think . Stewart and rainy have turned out to be a match both becoming quite likeable characters now .
That threat unnerved Phil you can tell by his look at the end. He knows Stuart probably isn't just saying it as a turn of phrase, he means it. We know Stuart has a psycho-mode, I don't think Phil wants to trigger it.

Absolutely, especially at Phil's age. Realistically he'd be no match for Stuart on a homicidal rampage but we know the show would find some stupid way to have Phil come out on top. They aren't gonna let it happen though anyway, Phil won't do anything to Callum.
It really is time for the producers to bring Dan back. (Pat Tate in Rise of the foot soldier). He looks even more formidable. You can almost imagine him knocking Phil and Stuarts heads together.

But then after 2 years of inactivity just to have him get beat up by a nobody, I thought the writers were finally toning him down and being realistic. But then after that loss we saw an incredible return for Phil, beating up basically everyone. So as unrealistic as it is, Current Phil has redeemed himself for me and is above every hardman right now except Jack. Him strangling Keanu in the office relatively easy is a big factor, if he's still above Keanu than he's still probably above Mick, Stuart and Martin as I think all those guys are around the same level and I could only separate them through the food chain of wins they have over each other. See, I kind of alternate between thinking they are all on the same level and that there's quite a significant gap between a couple of them. Mick always seems quite a bit together than Stuart. Stuart b**ch-slapped Martin across the square (after taking a punch from Martin that barely fazed him), whereas Martin and Keanu seem fairly equal. That being said, I can't visualise Stuart beating Keanu very easily. I also think Phil choking Keanu doesn't prove that he's tougher, I think Keanu just knew he was in the wrong so let it happen. Yeah you're right about the food chain wins, though the fact Keanu has landed 2 hits on Phil (albeit the second one being staged) and Martin never has makes me tempted to rank Keanu higher, despite the fact Martin edged him. Definitely makes it easier to rank them than it does the likes of Owen Turner, Beppe Di Marco, Paul Trueman etc. Overall, I think Mick and Stuart may edge Phil, whereas Phil still edges Martin and Keanu. When Stuart actually fought back, they seemed much more evenly matched, as seen in the fight outside the police station. Their off-screen fight seemed pretty even too based on how their faces looked afterwards and Stuart flooring Mick in the Vic made them look more even as well. Stuart beating Martin was a great win but wasn't as decisive as Mick vs Stuart or Martin vs Keanu as the fight was broken up quite quickly. I would still have to put Stuart above Martin based on my own rules but I wouldn't say Mick is indisputably harder than Martin. I know people talk about phil being bully at ceartin points which is true but out of all the characters in eastenders history phil displayed the most bottle fighting wise when he dropped Kim Brooks and his other henchmen who had shotgun in multistory car park in 1999, even grant was slightly hesitant as Kim Brooks and his little crew were major league villans /hardmen but Mitchell brothers came out on top, it's shame we haven't seen phil and mick exchange fists before in the pub
