Regarding Firpo, people have difficulty understanding the difference between wing backs and full backs. Firpo is clearly a player who would excel as a wing back in a 3-4-3 system. Same as Kristensen.... both players bombed forward for their previous teams and their jobs were too get as high up the pitch as possible and provide width. With little regard for defending. To then ask the pair of them to come to the toughest league in the world and play full back in a back 4 and to defend one on one against some of the best wide players in world football... was negligence on our part. It was like throwing them under the bus, as you aren't playing to their strengths. An example of this was Marcos Alonso at chelsea some years ago. Terrible Left back in a back 4, so contè switched to 3-4-3 and played him LWB, and 9 months later alonso went from terrible left back to premier league title winning wing back. Who was arguably the best in the league in that role. Good coaches get the best out of players and accentuate the positives whilst camouflaging the negatives.
Firpo won’t be staying, he will be sold. We are not going to let a player who has 1 year left and has injury issues play at the Olympics. We won’t risk that, so him not going doesn’t mean we want to keep him.
If you was referring to what I said then say it as it was Joe. Kamara provides nothing in the final 3rd, he has poor numbers for ASSISTS and goals, he's a 6. You're saying it's mad. Those numbers say he's not an attacking midfielder which an 8 is.
