Wow, Mark! Such heartbreak. I remember being newly divorced after 23 years. I left work one night about 9:30. Instead of going to my place, I was on auto-pilot. I drove straight to my old home where my ex and kids were. I was startled, and started weeping. Good, positive people are so necessary when we're broken. Recieving comfort and kindness wasn't easy. But it was a huge part of being remade whole. Thanks for being part of the solution. Never underestimate your impact.
Thanks for sharing Bill. I first must apologize for the technical issues in this video that escaped my notice until after it was loaded. Divorce is never easy and those were some dark days. I am glad I made it through and that it has all been behind me for many years now. Like you I was on auto pilot, some days I could hardly make it through a work day. I spent many a night at the Dairy Queen with a coffee and a newspaper just so I would not have to go home to an empty apartment. Hopefully you are doing well now my friend and once again thanks for sharing something very personal....;)
This one hit home. I went through the exact same thing (and emotions) after 20+ years of marriage - even turned down a similar basement apartment! I befriended the 80 year old woman who lived below me and helped her with odd jobs. Like Ray, she was really just looking for company. I visit her in her assisted living facility to this day. I can remember thinking how much things had changed in a short period of time - it was hard to believe. Like you, I found the right person eventually and moved on (and up!) to better things. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the excellent work.
hello Mai Tai44, I think a lot of us have similar stories to tell...it was a bit strange back then and I was not used to being lonely. I really appreciated Ray and Wendy...thanks for sharing and for tuning in my awesome friend....:)
That was honestly such a beautiful story. Hearing about the devotion and fealty that they had for one another sends me back to older times (that I wasn’t even a part of) I appreciate you making me shed a tear for those wonderful people. Here’s to Ray & Wendy 🥂 ❤️
they were two people devoted to one another and for a very brief time in my life they helped me very much....thanks for tuning in my friend, always nice to hear from you...:)
I find your fortitude and compassion so inspiring. I’m so happy you found Linda. You deserve such happiness. Socialization is so very important to all of us and especially to the elderly. Your kindness was rewarded. Bravo!
I’m sure Ray and Wendy were so thankful to have you as a friend. It really makes me happy knowing there is people like yourself in this world. Cheers, my friend.
Thanks so much Joey, I guess we were all good for each other at the time. They helped me out and I helped them, they were lovely people...thanks for watching my friend and for your kind words....;)
Great video! Just a heads up there seems to be some stuttering starting around the 14-15 minute mark through the end of the video. The UA-cam playback timer keeps ticking so I think it's in the recording itself. Just letting you know in case there's an issue with your setup. It doesn't distract too much from things.
Sorry about that P V, I just noticed it when I read your comment...not sure what happened but I feel bad about it. I always check my videos but some how I missed that glitch. Thanks for tuning in my friend ...;)
That story was beautiful, heartfelt and tragic all at the same time. True Love and Loneliness are not to be taken lightly because in the blink of an eye they can destroy one’s life. Ray and Wendy seemed like genuine sweet people and I’m glad you were able to find such blessings during that time. On a brighter note, I’m happy to see you and I hope all is well!!! Btw you’re my absolute favorite ASMRist simply because you stay true to yourself and don’t let negativity from people derail you from that! Oh and the food looked good!! Stay blessed, amazing and safe my lovely friend!!!!
You are an amazing person my friend, thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. Going from being a family man with kids and inlaws etc. to living in a single dwelling was rough but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I grew a lot and learned a lot about myself through that journey....thanks again my friend..;)
Another great story, thanks for sharing. Reminds me of the apartment I’m currently renting now. That “one flew over the cuckoos nest” home sounds pretty grim but glad your neighbours got to stay together. Keep up the good work.
What a touching but tragic story. Thanks so much for sharing. Loneliness really is one of the most devastating conditions of our age in a world where we endlessly find new ways to isolate ourselves. Great work, Mark

hey Mark :) I wanted to stop by the comment section again so I could thankyou once more for everything you do. I have gained a condition called IBS (irritational bowel syndrome) around may or June of 2022, and to make a long story short.. it's a super uncomfortable, rare.. and scary situation. it's a big problem with my bowels where they have a hard time with functioning properly, resulting in unpleasant movements (if you know what I mean). you may me wondering how this has anything to do with your channel, right? well.. I realized that my bowels usually start acting up big time when I am anxious or stressed [which I have been stressed out about a lot lately:((((] and I have been trying to find a potential way to calm myself down. I've tried whistling, playing games, reading books, and just trying to get my mind to not think of it.. (it is a super weird condition 😭) but nothing worked.. :( I was ready to give up, and then I saw your channel in my recommendations! I never really have gave ASMR a try, but I figured I would just casually watch a video. I was stressed at the time, but then as I watched your video and listened to your stories, the uncomfortable feeling went away for a while! :) when I watch you, my stress lowers so much and that makes me able to function without constantly worrying about the "symptoms" of this. you get my mind off anything stressful and just really help me get through the day and night! for a little under a month, I have put a video from you on as I fall asleep. my favorites are this one and the one where you eat fish and chips :D I wake up a lot more calm and my mood has been a lot better, as well as my condition ever since I started watching you. this is a super long comment.. but I really have to thank you for everything. I plan to keep watching you for years and im so so happy I found your channel. 🙃🙂
Hello FatChunkTV, the reason I started listening to ASMR myself years ago was to lower my stress level. I find that it is very calming and relaxing, I also sleep better. Relaxing is a big part of personal health care. In the care facility that I used to work in they would have a reading time for some of the residents. The person reading would speak in a soft soothing voice to a small crowd of elders. This had a much more positive effect than a lot of medications did. It proved to be a great improvement for people with high anxiety levels. I say whatever works for you is a positive thing. I have had comments from all kinds of people with al kinds of reasons they listen to ASMR. The one comment denominator is that ASMR really calms people down and eases their stress. Thanks for writing my friend, stay awesome....:)
@@auralfixatedasmr8647 that's actually amazing! there's something about soft speaking that is just super soothing, and its good to know I'm not the only one that feels thst way. thankyou for sharing your story about the reason you started to listen to ASMR:) you're by far my favorite UA-camr because I can relate to you a lot with your stories and experiences. stay amazing.. 😊
Awesome, could I get the recipe for the pot pie, I don't eat much turkey cause of it causing higher uric acid which could cause gout, but once in awhile won't hurt
These are the ingredients you'll need to make this top-rated turkey pot pie recipe: · Frozen veggies: You'll need frozen peas and carrots and frozen green beans. · Fresh veggies: Celery and onion add fresh flavor and texture. · Butter and flour: Sauté the onion in butter, then add all-purpose flour to make a roux. · Seasonings: This turkey pot pie is seasoned with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. · Broth: Use store-bought or homemade chicken broth or turkey broth. · Milk: Use your favorite milk to create a creamy filling. · Turkey: Of course, you'll need leftover turkey! · Pie crust: Use a store-bought double pie crust or try our Butter Flaky Pie Crust. 1.
