I absolutely ADORE her and I always will ! I had the immense honor to meet her twice and I can tell you she is humanity personified.
Lucky you!
A beautiful woman with a beautiful, soothing voice, who embodies strength & fragility in equal measure. I loved listening to her narrate Call The Mid-wife.
I can't stop admiring this great woman, person and actress !
She stayed really beautiful even in older age. I have always loved her voice.
I've always admired her greatly and even more so since she's grieved for those three beautiful dear family members who have passed away in the last few years
She is just amazing. Talented, well spoken, gorgeous. I love her. :)
She is so articulate and enchanting, Great actress.
Rating someone is retarded, narcissistic and perverse
..don't overdo it
She should have won the Oscar for Howard's End.
I was still in high school when I saw Camelot in the theatre the first time & I fell in love with Vanessa Redgrave & I still can't get enough of her!
Now... THAT is a human being...
She is luminous as she has always been and she is one of the rare artists who has the rare quality of aura: a presence, gravitas.
I could listen to her talk for days.
such a soothing voice while the interviewer's is loud and abrasive...geez...
She is a lovely lady xx
She's beautiful .and a bad ass .
Vanessa's portayal of Mrs Lowry was just stunning .reminded me of my Dad ,my mum and their parents who lived also in Lancashire in Lowry's era .she perfected Mrs Lowry and turned the tale into an emotional take of love lost ,regret ,deep talent , emotional abuse and mental.health .
Amazingly done
Tim Spall brought Lowry to.life
Fantastic woman and actress.
Such a wonderful woman..
I was lucky enough to have seen her once - and No One knew what 'Southern Gothic' was about...yet, she was Mystical. It's the only word that comes to mind. Never saw anything quite like it...
Well, she's not afraid to grow old gracefully. No cosmetic surgery, no wigs.
This guy is like barb wire .he may know his stuff but he's so scratchy against Redgrave's ethereal nature .like chalk and cheese
She deserves better.he has no feeling
Love Love Love Ms Redgrave she's a great lady honest graceful beautiful loyal. Her and Natasha in Evening was so beautiful but it's heartbreaking to look at with Natasha gone it's painful to watch
This interviewer gets so much wrong. Vanessa corrects him everytime, but the interview is v. good.
Vanessa is lovely.
An awesome, reverential, inspiring, effectual woman
aw she is so lovely :)
You are a gift!❤️
"As long as someone's good," competition isn't there. Some might say just the opposite, but they would be small people.
I find that I am quite taken with Vanessa's beauty in her older age.
She used to come round our house in the eighties. My dad was a member of the wrp and her and corin came round a couple of times.
I risk feeding the trolls by saying this, but Vanessa Redgrave did not and does not "support Chechnyan terror". She did support the exiled Chechen leader Zakayev when he was detained by British police on charges brought by the Russians - charges which a British court found to have been fabricated. That court also deemed it likely that Zakayev would be tortured if deported to Russia. True, Zakayev did fight against the Russian forces which invaded Chechnya in the early 1990s. (The invasion's purpose, by the way, was to "protect the unity of Russia", i.e., to perpetuate the imperial legacy of the Soviets). Both sides in this conflict committed human rights abuses, and Zakayev - who, like most politicians and military commanders, is probably no saint - may conceivably have been involved in some of them, although there is little evidence. However, he was the one who subsequently called for an end to armed resistance against Russia during the second Chechen war, and he has also strongly opposed Islamists in the Caucasus, who have since sentenced him to death for opposing Shariah law.
Whatever Zakayev may have done, what did Redgrave do? She paid Zakayev's bail when he was arrested for crimes of which he was found to be innocent, and played a part in stopping an extradition which the court said might have led to a man being tortured (and British courts don’t exactly have a history of being soft on refugees who make such claims). This does not equal support for terror. Redgrave has taken many political positions with which I would disagree (her youthful Marxism and some of her comments on Israel, for instance), but overall she seems to be an intelligent humanitarian who cares deeply about the world, and who also happens to be an extraordinary actress.
Thank you for the insight. And thank you for giving me this information. She's refused being made "Lady Redgrave" twice. She's far too humble.
A humble remark. When thinking about the time of her being voluntarily involved in those Chechen political issues and her family life tribulations, one may be nothing but puzzled... A conundrum... And nothing negative concerning the Muslim world culture. Just ponder on those issues of the present day world.
She sounds like natasha.i love these family.
You mean Natasha sounds like her mother, no?
mckavitt13 That's correct, Natasha sounds (and also looks) like Vanessa
All good but the interviewer is.......he .... simply blew it up.. really!!!
Love her in Bella Mafia
"he does have a sly face, he has sly features. Is John a sly boy? He's sly all right!! (laughter)"
Say what you will about her, at least you can say she puts her money where her mouth is...she has spent a life time's earnings on human rights, etc...when she had her heart surgery, it was through the NHS......she is paying a mortgage, and on and on.....she is her own person
Powerful actress but sadly interviewed by what I call a “one size fits all” interviewer. This host would ask questions with the same abrupt manner if interviewing a legend, like Ms. Redgrave or a WWE wrestler and even, sadly, the Queen of England , Her Royal Majesty herself!!! Come on! If you sit across from a soft spoken legend, who has recently suffered GREAT loss, please have the maturity to speak with manners, a soft tone, and a level of compassion to match her tenderness! Pathetic!
Can’t bear this guy’s voice. Revoltinf
Hottest woman ever
You only old when you are cold where there is life there is hole lol mean experience xx
Wait so her daughter died her sister died then her brother died all in a month what the actually fuck could u cope .
Por que en inglés yo no se inglés por q no traducen
Always in constant acting mode ...
I see it as always genuine.
If that's what you feel.. But who is she to keep correcting the guy. She's a mean spirit.
Only Me"mean spirit"? She easily has one of the kindest hearts of anyone I've ever listened to.
You're looking for trouble where none exists.
Looking for trouble, are you nuts? It's called an opinion. U like her. I don't. The end
Only Me No (should you be addressing me), I'm not "nuts".
Why don't you like her?
