I have seen so many awesome over the top builds but this is a lot more simplistic that works really well. As some one who is terrible at building you have given me hope that I to can produce something that can look good without being an architectural master piece.
@Rich_Xnda hey! Thanks for watching! I'm glad I could help! I'm also not great at building and for a long time felt discouraged too. This was the first time trying this build and as I was working on it I even found ways to improve upon it. I realized that builds don't have to be super over the top and extravagant. A simple cozy village can be just as rewarding as a huge castle.
Very nice. I love how you're doing a house for everyone. You paths are quite nice as well. I made the mistake of putting all the beds in a loft and had no way for them to get to the beds, so at night they all go into the building and just lay on the floor under where their beds are. You've inspired me to create a small village. 🥰
Thanks for watching! I am really enjoying making my little town! I think I've spent a ton more time working on this than I have in the past. It really helps that there's more of a reason to build each of them a house. I mean yea making them all beds in the same room would work but I like building and I have been wanting to do something like this for a while.
I hope this advice works for you. If you put a size 5 roadblock on the ground and then use the rake, it can spread the road a lot easier. Just make sure the elevation is high enough off the ground, and you can spread the road in whatever direction you want.
@gooflydo hey thanks for watching! I was trying to be precise with the way I was doing it. I did start using the larger options for placing the road blocks. Don't think I'm gonna use the rake. Just place the road down. It only takes a few seconds. Cause if it's make a mistake I can undo if I place it down. I also always forget the rake exists. I've used it a few times for spreading farm soil. Lol. Honestly wasn't gonna keep doing the road 1 by 1 for the entire build. I started to realize there was just no way. As always I love making things as difficult as possible for myself. 🤣 Thanks for the advice.
For the love of pikemead. Do not place the path 1 block at a time. Use the terrain prefabs. The wooden blocks around the path will keep it where you want it
@@xJohnnyBloodx thanks for this! I know it'd be easier to use a larger prefab. The reason I didn't is because I am so worried about it getting messed up and having to redo a whole section or scrap the entire thing altogether. 🤣 But your right it would be easier.
Hey thanks for watching! Thanks for the suggestion. I was going for a more man made look here. That's why the trees are specifically placed and not placed in more sporadic places. when the build is finished I'm going to do another video showing off the full thing!
I never played any building crafting game before and i dont know if i could build a simple house, let alone a entire town. I think maybe ill just try a tiny mud hut and be done. I have no creativity when it comes to building in games .
I didn't think I could either. I also don't have any creativity when it comes to these games. I've seen some amazing builds and know I'll never be able to do those, but it's all about having fun! When I started playing these simple houses were not something I knew how to build. I could barely build a box to live in. Even with the new update where every npc needs a bed under shelter you can just build a box and place all their beds inside it. The game has so much to offer! Also practice makes perfect. If you want to get good at building practice building. Come up with a simple idea. Steal my little house if you want. I honestly don't care. This was the first actual house build I've made that seems halfway decent. On my next town I'm going to experiment and do a second floor and basement with my houses. Just keep adding on and experiment with details using different building blocks. There's also tons of youtube tutorials on how to build. I may do one on how to build this little house and others as I improve my building. You should've seen the builds I made before even starting making content in the game Heck go to some of my previous videos and you'll see the monstrosities I've attempted. I believe my tips and tricks video showcases at least one of them. It's horrible lol. But I love doing it and trying! That's all that matters.
@CoperliteConsumer your right! Definitely should add basements! Thanks for the tip! Glad you enjoyed it! I'll be posting another video when it's completed!
@piccolo3031 Hey! Thanks for watching! I kind of explain it in the video but you use the road blocks in the work bench to do them. Use the terrain options with your build hammer. To do these ones specifically I created my entire town on top of wood foundations so it can all be flat. I cut 1 block into the wood foundations where I wanted the paths using the smallest block option. If you use any of the others it'll destroy the entire foundation which you don't want. I then after cutting them 1 block down I put the path on so it's even with the rest of the ground. I did the exact same thing to make the grass but instead of the road blocks I used dirt. I hope this helps! 😃
@BaronSolace yes! This runs amazingly well on steam deck! Graphics suffer a little though but it works very very well. I probably wouldn't get to play as much outside of recording videos if it didn't. Also my favorite thing to do is lay in bed and watch TV with my cats and play!

so cool
Hey thanks for watching! 😄
My only suggestion would be to space the trees more randomly so they appear more organic
Hey thanks for watching! Thanks for the suggestion.

What are your favorite things about the update so far?
You gotta have basments for your houses, but other than that it all looks great bro
@CoperliteConsumer your right! Definitely should add basements! Thanks for the tip!
Glad you enjoyed it! I'll be posting another video when it's completed!
Why do I need a basement? Is there tornadoes or weather that could destroy your homes or something?
@lillpoetboy you don't actually need a basement. It's just something to add to the build. There is weather but nothing that will destroy your builds.
How do you make paths?
@piccolo3031

How many survivor's in the game to rescue?
@@lillpoetboy I honestly don't know. I just know I haven't rescued them all yet. This was one of the new features they added.
@@GamingandMore95 hi there are a total of 22 towns folks including the 7 main characters if this helps
wtf, this runs well on steam deck? i cant even get it to run on my main pc
