    This JSB Hades pellet only available in .22 and bigger calibers? And one more question: the pigeons not fear when you coming to hunt them and see your air rifle? Pigeons learning quick.

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  4 роки тому

      Hey, friend. The Hades is available in .22 and .25 only. As far as pigeons are concerned, we are being careful not to spook them, and we do not just move around unless necessary. Looks like they are not learning quick enough 😉 Plus some shots are at a long distance and in these cases they do not suspect anything.

      Thanks, buddy 🤝 Your JSAR is going to be .25, right? You can always review them when it arrives - imo we must have many reviews on a single item; different prospectives may reveal sth new the other guys have missed or rectify their opinion. I for one would be very interested how the Raptor would do with those 👍

    Great bird slamming video. I've gotta get some of those 25 cal Hades, can't wait to see what you come up with, I only have one Chrony so getting the BC isn't really easy, I'd rather not guestimate, lol.

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  4 роки тому +1

      Hey, bud, thank you for your kind words 👍I also have only one chronograph - you place it at the muzzle, take the shots, get an average and then place the same chrono at the desired distance/s for the rest of the shots. I'd even say it's kinda risky with mine, because it's the Air Chrony Mk3 - the shooting window is 2 inches wide and a bit short of 2 and a half inches high 😉

    • @slowpokeairgunner4027
      @slowpokeairgunner4027 4 роки тому +1

      @@AirRifleActivities I thought about that, I guess you could use the avg, but every shot will be a little bit different so it's not going to read the same speeds on every shot. Either way, it gives a ballpark area that you can work with. Thanks in advance, I'll be needing the BC when I get some, lol.

    Can someone explain me why people like this shoot pigeons?
    Just reason please. We watch it for fun, but why?

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  4 роки тому +1

      Shamsi, I shoot pigeons as a part of pest control activity. They pose a huge problem to farms and grain silos. Their droppings become the primary reason for spreading disease on animal fodder and the grain itself, and they attract rats and cockroaches too. Also, their feces ruin the protective layer of machinery. Not to mention diseases, which can actually be transmitted from pigeons to humans, such as Ornithosis, also known as Psittacosis. I've seen pigeons that had Ornithosis at my permission. I've even filmed such a pigeon in one of my early videos, there's also an explanation to it. That is why almost always we collect their carcasses with plastic gloves. There are a lot of places infested with pigeons and literally covered with their droppings, but we do the pest control sessions outside towns for safety reasons, of course. We are not just mindless trigger-happy idiots, we are being very careful in doing this. I hope this helps and thank you for watching and posting a comment to my video 👍

    • @shamsiqadirli
      @shamsiqadirli 4 роки тому

      @@AirRifleActivities Thank you very much for a great explanation. I even didn't know about it. We also have a lot of pigeons living in town. Now, I concern about it. Also we don't have a restriction in law for shooting pigeons or etc. except some bird species.

      Shamsi, you're welcome, I'm more than happy to communicate with the viewers. Perhaps you live somewhere in Northern Africa or in Asia, and I've seen a lot of youtube shooting channels from this part of the world. Almost in all of them they hunt pigeons and make great meals out of them 🙂

    Why shoot sparrows?
    In the UK they eat a lot of spiders, especially False Widow so I regard sparrows as friends not foe.
    Pigeons?
    Fair game. Not that I would eat them. Because in the UK I need a licence to shoot pigeons to eat but f they are a pest - no licence required.
    Go figure.

    • @AirRifleActivities
      @AirRifleActivities  Рік тому

      That really doesn't make much sense... As for the sparrows, the owners complained they used to make a mess by nesting in all the wrong places, such as in machines. Anyway, that's an older video of mine; I haven't shot a sparrow in ages, as everyone keeps telling me their numbers are dwindling. Not sure if that's true...
