Tom Hanks acting was quite natural in Forrest gump....but Amir's acting in this is cringe ngl.....and the boba's character from forest gump just can't be replaced....and that golgappa dialogue at the end 😂😂.....was excited for this movie before this trailer...... but now I'm not
TomHanks will be proud of Aamir Khan and he already was when he and the entire crew knew agreed to give thie rights and an approval to Aamir to recreate their own masterpiece .. Tom hanks very well knew if that its only Aamir who can recreate and deserved to do what he himself did in his early 40s , and hats off to Aamir with bringing the masterpiece to life in such a beautiful way during his mid 50s .. his presence in LSC is literally giving Goosebumps specially his Sikh avatar

I have seen Forrest gump and it's my all time favourite movie and i absolutely loved LSC trailer and always knew its only Aamir who could pull this masterpiece so well and yes this 2:45 says that Loud and clear, the same vibe, the same feeling , Aamir's presence giving Goosebumps exactly like Tom Hanks presence ... Aamir is also looking very similar to Tom Hanks ... Appreciate jaby and all his friends for their genuine review and they seem to be so happy to see their own countries iconic movie been remade and so positive about it.... THe very problem is Aamir acting at least as far as trailer goes... His acting isnt anything new that we havnt already seen before. A Major part of FOrrest Gump success is owing to Tom Hanks performance that was unlike anything he had done or audiences hav seen before in any film which brings in certain novelty factor. If a reamake has a point, then good. I think it has a point. Forrest gump is a american movie, related to american history and culture. If that translates well in our culture and history, that's interesting. A remake has to be improved and different. So, it's a good remake. I am really interested to see how story beats are adapted differently.

This film is being bashed by the right wingers as well as liberals. Right wing is criticizing for reasons not too difficult to guess (his religion, comments made in the past about PM and the government), while the liberals are criticizing because of the mess he has made his personal life. The dust had settled on the facts that he has had multiple affairs and two wives, but all of a sudden he decided to divorce Kiran Rao as well, and rumours are that he plans to get married once again, this time to a girl that is young enough to be his daughter. His own daughter meanwhile is going through depression. His Punjabi accent is hardly a matter of concern here, he wasn't born in a Punjabi family, he doesn't have to speak Punjabi for the rest of his life, it's not that easy to speak Punjabi fluently, besides this is a Hindi film, not a Punjabi film. Also, is this the first remake that Bollywood or Indian cinema is making ? When you go exploring, you will find out that even the great "Sholay" was not an original screenplay, but how many people actually hate that film ? As far as expressions are concerned, Shah Rukh Khan has acted the same way his entire life, how many people actually criticize him for that ? Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) plays himself in every film of his, do people despise his acting ? Even Tom Hanks plays himself in pretty much every film of his, but how many people can say that he is not a good actor ? If you like someone, then everything they do feels praiseworthy, but if you dislike someone, then you manage to find a fault in everything they do.
I love Forrest Gump, the book and the movie. And I love Tom Hanks. So, when I first saw this trailer, it was a bit jarring. But after watching a couple of yours and your friends' reviews, I feel Aamir Khan is one person who could possibly make it worth my while to watch this Indianised version of one of my all time favourite movies, and I'm willing to give it a chance.
I keep coming back to this trailer because it’s been an awful 2 years and this just gives me so much joy. The feel good feeling that so many of us need and goodness we could do with a lot of that. Going to rewatch my old fav, read the book and ready myself for this version ❤️

Are you really looking forward to Bollywood making more and more remakes like its a positive thing ? Regurgitated Garbage films is the reason Bollywood is lying face down in a ditch right now. Remake movies were still bearable but bollywood is remaking songs that most of the adult audiance grew up watching not even 2 decades ago.
How about making something original for once instead of legally or illegally ripping off someone else's (Hollywood or South indian film industry) creation and feeding it to ignorant masses.

it's an official adaptation not a remake , hence the original screenplay is by Eric Roth and the adaptation is done by Atul Kulkarni.

Right wing is criticizing for reasons not too difficult to guess (his religion, comments made in the past about PM and the government), while the liberals are criticizing because of the mess he has made his personal life. The dust had settled on the facts that he has had multiple affairs and two wives, but all of a sudden he decided to divorce Kiran Rao as well, and rumours are that he plans to get married once again, this time to a girl that is young enough to be his daughter. His own daughter meanwhile is going through depression. His Punjabi accent is hardly a matter of concern here, he wasn't born in a Punjabi family, he doesn't have to speak Punjabi for the rest of his life, it's not that easy to speak Punjabi fluently, besides this is a Hindi film, not a Punjabi film. Also, is this the first remake that Bollywood or Indian cinema is making ? When you go exploring, you will find out that even the great "Sholay" was not an original screenplay, but how many people actually hate that film ? As far as expressions are concerned, Shah Rukh Khan has acted the same way his entire life, how many people actually criticize him for that ? Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) plays himself in every film of his, do people despise his acting ? Even Tom Hanks plays himself in pretty much every film of his, but how many people can say that he is not a good actor ? If you like someone, then everything they do feels praiseworthy, but if you dislike someone, then you manage to find a fault in everything they do.

I love Forrest Gump, the book and the movie. And I love Tom Hanks. So, when I first saw this trailer, it was a bit jarring. But after watching a couple of yours and your friends' reviews, I feel Aamir Khan is one person who could possibly make it worth my while to watch this Indianised version of one of my all time favourite movies, and I'm willing to give it a chance.
I keep coming back to this trailer because it’s been an awful 2 years and this just gives me so much joy. The feel good feeling that so many of us need and goodness we could do with a lot of that. Going to rewatch my old fav, read the book and ready myself for this version ❤️

Anyway it’s just not a remake for US audience , it’s a movie for Indians (Bhartiya) who didn’t watch Forest Gump because of language barrier, Cultural barrier and lack of availability, I am sure he is doing for them and they will enjoy it .
