I can't believe so many people hate on Mario--he's one of the best teachers out there. Almost every workshop that I've attended or watched that he's given, he almost always goes out of his way to give his students lots of good material to work with. Some instructors act like they have a plane to catch...they do their turn patterns once, maybe twice and then they're ghost! Check out some of Mario's workshop videos on here, he'll do his turn patterns about 4 or 5 times and then dances forever!
he is a great leader and i hear hes a very good teacher. i watch his videos over and over and then the light goes off and i add a move here and there. stop hating on him. he travels all over the world doing what he loves to do. hate him for that but not for his dance style. the brother loves to danceand teach. we're lucky to have him.
@ gharlston... Completely agree! Super Mario has no problems showing off many of his best moves in workshops and is cool with his stuff ending up on UA-cam or elsewhere, which is very unlike many instructors. He combines creativity with the ability and knowledge on how to lead patterns better than just about every other salsa teacher out there. His stuff is also very leadable with dancers of most skill levels, which is why I'm probably drawn to his style more than most.
Yes sir. You have to figure out what each instructor can offer you. For those who still do not get it, Supermario is not called super for nothing, or the million moves man either. Even Ismael Otero, another moves guy gives Supermario kudos for his repertoire :).
Or it could be that the music is not well synched to the video. Happens all the time on youtube. Supermario is a pro, so give him the benefit of the doubt that he can atleast get his timing right...lol.
I really like this kind of salsa dancing. But I don´t think Super Mario is the best salsa dancer/Teacher. He doesn´t move his body it seems to be really lazy. Salsa is passion and joy he needs to reflect it. By the way I am Venezuela and dance salsa since I remember.

there will always be a better dancer, hardly ever you will find a better leader!
