amazing & finally were William isn't unforgiving person and an vengefully etc. but doesn't come after them unlike cassidy and i think he would kill them second time but worse tbh
16:43 this though, I agree with. Henry has actual reasons to be upset but he is being an ADULT and talking about it. Being mature and actually trying to fix things. William though is holding onto old old guilts. They apologized and he won’t accept it because he’s bitter, and immature. I love this so much, the parallels!!🎉🎉🎉 Edit: I would like to make a change here. As I’ve gone through therapy, and realized I was abused and neglected a LOT as a child, I realize I was projecting. I was conditioned to think I HAD to forgive my parents if they apologized, because if I didn’t I would get yelled at. With a more mature lens now, I know that everyone has the right to forgive or not to. ESPECIALLY with abuse. No matter how ‘rash’ or ‘immature’ it may seem from an outside perspective. To anyone who is a victim of abuse or neglect, I am so so sorry. No one deserves that.
The whole problem is with the way their trying to go about it, yes while forgiving the two would have been the ‘nice’ thing to do they don’t know the whole story or how it effected William. I myself am an adult but there are things I will never forgive my parents for because of how it effected me as a child, and trying to force will into forgiving then is just making him not want to even more. It’s like taking a hammer and trying nail a square peg into a round hole, never ends well. Honestly I’m glad will didn’t forgive them in the end, he made good points instead of flying off the handle. That’s not easy to do when facing childhood trauma.
You cant simply forget neglect/abuse it follows you like a disease and may cause the said person to abuse the next generation then they'll do that to the next after the next generation has children or a spouse if they even get that far. This is called generational trauma it starts from a parent then when the parent neglects/abuses a child or spouse they might get abusive unintentionally because it's wired in their brain. he is not being a bitter and immature, I hope u never experience neglected and abuse, they are things that I would NEVER forgive and act like nothing happened
@@arthZur it’s an interesting feeling coming back to this comment a year later. I was also abused and neglected for my entire life, but at the time I had repressed most of those memories. No child wants to remember that. As I’ve gone through therapy, it’s interesting to see just how damaging that was. I’m so sorry you had to go through that, no one EVER should. Everyone has the choice to forgive if they wish, or not to. Both are perfectly reasonable and completely valid. I agree with you here. My comment at the time was made from the perspective of someone who was abused, but was conditioned to believe forgiveness was the only option. I hope you can get away from anyone hurting you, or that you already have
The part where Jeremy says "There's nothing we could've done to prevent this, it was ineffable" did you mean unavoidable or inevitable? Because ineffable means its incapable of being put into words, not unpreventable
14:48 love the video, but I can’t really agree with this- he doesn’t have to forgive him, or get over it. Especially since William 1. Hasn’t apologized and 2. Hasn’t changed his behavior. He has every right to still be mad at William, and idk why his family still stays :,)) still, LOVE the video!!
@@painless6992 Yes!! And even if William apologizes Henry has every right to not forgive him. I love how the characters react in their own ways. Like how she has a sense of duty to her kids, and feels like she HAS to forgive him for their sakes. Idk if I’m reading to deep into this but it’s fun
