Danielle Hawthorne I’ve seen it twice already! I love Elton so much - the theatrics on stage, Bernie’s insanely familiar lyrics. I have had some people comment on criticisms they’ve heard on inaccuracies in the film, but I don’t care! I’ve heard Elton gave the crew full artistic licence, and I think that’s the most important issue.
I loved and you can tell the cast loved....your very intelligent questions. You paid attention to the movie and obviously loved Elton as you went to his concert. I subscribed immediately and hope this parlays you into having many more. ☺️
Terrific interviews, Danielle. Thank you for a truly intelligent and well thought out approach. The guys seems to have really enjoyed it as well. Off to subscribe and check out your other work. :-)
I loved this movie soo much! Your interview was awesome...i am a huge fan of Elton John..the weird thing is is that me and my 2 teen daughter's had gone to the movie theater to see Aladdin but as I call it fate it was sold out so we decided to go see Rocketman,I did not think my teens would like it,boy was I wrong,we loved it and I can not wait for it to come out on DVD as I only got to see it once as our theater doesn't keep movies too long...so I am pretty much watching interviews and movie clips and listening to the soundtrack until Sept
Great interview! Great questions! I’ve seen Rocketman 3 times now (and there will be more!) and though I know Elton John and his music I’m totally discovering Taron and Richard (have never seen GoT and have yet to see Bodyguard) and Dexter. I’ve been seeing many interviews of the cast here on YT and yours got to be one of the best ones! Thanks for posting! I’ve been on this Rocketman craze now for the last 3 weeks or so and initially I did compare it to Bohemian Rhapsody but you can’t really. It’s a very different way of storytelling. I love BR, but Rocketman has definitely another level to it. It is deeply touching and there are so many touching, heart-warming and heartbreaking scenes. Some of these scenes must have been tough for the actors. The cast is brilliant, Bryce and also the 2 boys who play young Elton! I’ve not seen any interview mentioning these young actors actually.... And all of them make this film raw, intense and uplifting all at the same time. Like you (and I don’t think I was as big a fan as you - though I am now) this film made me re-discover some of Elton’s songs I thought I knew. The film in context makes his songs so much more relevant and personal. I went to see Elton in concert last month. We bought the tickets in early 2018! I’m so happy we got to see him live (I’d only seen him once before in London at a film premiere) and it was absolutely fantastic!! I mean he is a genius musician - it’s out of this world! The concert made me realise that much more than just listening to his songs over the years. I now regret never to have been to earlier concerts. And Taron inhabits his role and even if he was modest about it in another interview, he really was born to be Elton in this film. I’m so very happy that Dexter was the one to direct it. I had no idea that he and Taron had worked together before, but from other interviews Taron as Elton is absolutely the best idea they had!! And though I’m no singer or musician, this film has now inspired me to take up painting again. Finally starting a new project (Elton John/Rocketman related... )! Went to do some first errands for it today. 🎨 Sorry, for the long post.
Danielle Hawthorne Yay! Since my last post I’ve seen it 5 times in total and counting. 😊 I will HAVE to make time to watch Bodyguard! Just not sure what state of mind one has to be in...

Yay for fate! This is a movie that really should be seen in a theater...at least the first time you see it.
