thank you so much for such a helpful video. you saved the situation for a new 4 shaft weaver!
I am very new to weaving. Your explanation is perfectly clear and easy to understand, and I am looking forward to learning more from other videos. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank You for this demonstration. Very brilliant.
Your video is so helpful - just starting to learn to weave, and I intend to learn walking the loom from the start. Your video made it very clear how to do it.
Thank you so much for this (very clear) explanation. I'd seen weavers doing this, but didn't realize how deliberate it was.
You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much. Would never have thought of this on my own.
Brilliant clear explanation thank you so much!
Thank you very much - this video is very helpful!
Thank you so much! You are such a great teacher!! :-)
brilliant! thank you for the explanation
This is great video. Would you mind showing how to walk countermarch loom where treadles are back hinged and close together.
Are the feet always attached to two heddles?
Hi Jette, lovely videos. I am just starting to learn weaving on a counterbalance loom with only 4 pedals. I have trouble finding videos for this kind of loom and I see you have almost the same kind of loom. Mine I believe is a Scandinavian one from about 1950. Do you know where I can get more information about how I should tie the treadles and the pedals please?
Many thanks,
Maria
no wonder weaving was at the basics of the computer!!! Smart people who can weave patterns on a mechanical loom..........
Great hint thanks
or making some salsa movements with crossing legs.........
Another advantage of walking the treadles is being able to hit both the 1/3 or 2/4 shafts with one foot when you're switching to tabby with a direct tie-up loom.
