@@limyize I don’t disagree with this after hours is honestly his most complete album to date kissland and hob are my top 2 but after hours is definitely his most well rounded album has a decent amount of pop but also has a solid amount of dark r&b and even dark pop reminiscent of kiss land
@@manuelagigian8738 Yes u are right after hours has a songs that sounds like songs that were kissland that's alone again,.... But I dunno why keep comparing an #1 of Abel's career with #last one... Kissland is wonderful album but U can't say it's better than AH.. After hours is such a perfect album...
+Conor Rick I just saw him live, he was great but I could tell he was a lil tired. I wish he would have sang more songs from kissland and trilogy. I am not complaining at all I just cherish his older stuff. Still amazing live last month. I was fixated as well as my boyfriend (who I got him into the weeknd).
+kobebeef415 he was bound to perform the whole album lol that's why it was the Madness Fall Tour. Just like during the Kiss Land Fall Tour he performed all of Kiss Land (except for Tears In The Rain.) and at the 2016 Fall Tour hell perform probably all the tracks from this upcoming Chapter IV album
I discovered The Weeknd very late, couple of weeks ago, through his newer music, his dark disco sound, which I loved, and I was surprised that I loved it because mainstream pop music is not something I become passionate about. Usually I am bored after listening to a song more than twice. And now I am discovering his older work and his earlier live performances and his is incredible. As much as I love his new stuff, this performance is the real Weeknd for me. This right here is the true artist. A band, his voice, vulnerable, he does not deliver a show like he does on his later super-shows, he just delivers himself and I feel that this is much more his thing. He is just too deep in the industry now, but he is still amazing.
I feel you. His music went from being toxic to being politically mainstream. His creativity when comes to vocalizing and actually singing in his original style is is just an echo of his former self, because no matter what he puts out its gonna be a hit. His voice and the way he sings words, sounds so similar on every new song. If you listen you can hear him do this thing where cuts the word when hes singing it and it just becomes too predictable. He doesn't vocalize like he did on trilogy his classic and nostalgic "ohs" that he sang soo painfully. Wish he would go back to his roots. His last album with his original style was probably beauty behind the madness, starboy was probably the turning point for him to this new style.
@@fizzfuzz7551 No. His music is still toxic but it's clear he's trying to move on from it, which is a good thing. His vocals are top tier now, better than before, and he doesn't sound similar on every new song at all nor is it predictable. "Wish he would go back to his roots" well keep wishing cuz it's not happening, his old music didn't go anywhere so go listen to it. He's in his prime now.
@@vezon9436 His old music is the reason he blew up you idiot. His music went from him being toxic to him being a simp as symbolized by his new song "take me back". His vocals has been top tier since he debuted trilogy, unfortunately in recent times his vocalization is repetitive as I said he does this thing where he cuts the word that hes singing which seems to be his signature now, his lyricism is still pretty good though. Sadly, nothing new or ground breaking like Trilogy, Kissland or BBTM. The electro and old school disco beats are getting old too. He was way better when he released once every few years instead of releasing yearly which he does now, I think it dilutes the quality of his work and kills the hype around him as an artist. There will be no other artist like him. He truly came from nothing but now hes washed up sad to say it but this happens to every artist. His prime was probably Starboy or After Hours.
Hearing the song is one thing on Spotify or Apple Music but hearing the Town live it’s on a different level. You can feel the energy and it feels very cinematic.
So jealous of the people who got to experienced this 🥺💔. I discovered him in 2015... but when I saw him first on TV on the Jimmy show i wished him to become successful. I was only 12 years old at the time. Iam 23 now. Now here I am totally in love with him and crying and singing his songs 🥺🤍.

Much prefer his older songs. Could listen to this for hours.
What you think about MDM and After Hours?
Starboy and BBTM were decent. But after hours might just be his best work ever. Trilogy and kissland are certified classics
