Love Croatia so many beautiful places to visit. Omis is a little further up and is brilliant it's an old Pirate cove so has alot of history and charecter with some good shops and lovely food.
I was in Croatia 2 years ago sailing/island hopping near Split for 7 days. The islands are amazing to experience. There's this smaller island near Brac where's restaurant called Fisherman's house. That place is special and would recommend it to anyone that's going sailing there (obvious disclaimer that it's mainly seafood)
Always wanted to go to Croatia. So many of my friends have visited there. Always heard good things form them. Looks beautiful and i like the architechture in the capital.
I now officially envy Croatians 😂. Living there feels like permanent vacation with all those landscapes and beautiful seaside 😩. No Russia around to have fears about war, Africa is not too close either (like Italy or Greece). It's not cold like in Northern countries. Perfect location.
I am Croatian living in croatia but zagreb. Most people live outside of coastal area, also nice weather is only during couple of months in summer, infrastructure is awful, judicial system is not working, healthcare not working (if you wanna get anything done you have to use private healthcare), people are rude as fuck, economy is bad, and if you are over 30 and single like me you are screwed and complete outcast.
@@Account-br9kc Judicial system is pretty bad in many countries (US included), same with healthcare - where u have to pay to get good service, the economy is bad in most parts of the world nowadays, so I would still choose Croatia over many countries if I would live in coast areas. 🤩 That alone would take away my pain 😂
Just a tip for future travelers: In Croatia you can not have private beach. All you can see there it is open for everyone. From time to time some of the local a*sholes wanna privatized but it is illegal. 6 meters from the sea inland belongs to the State of Croatia.
Holy moly, what a spectacular road trip !! Love those magnificent views. Really enjoyed this roadtrip with you guys. Kudos to you both, Steve lvana. Safe travels always.
Great idea that you travel to Croatia coast. I think you can spend there a lot of time because there are numerous places and islands. I was there in Dubrovnik in a huge hotel made by comunists. Beautiful water. Also on the island where Marco Polo was......they told so. But it is perfect to stay in a local house near beach with local people eating fresh sea food and of course drinking with locals. Fish yes, but I had great pork on the road , piglets roasted......I dont know if actually they are still available driving on the country roads. You need to try them.
The shot 4:03 - 4:30 is the delta of the Neretva river and what you see are mostly mandarin and lemon trees and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables from the Neretva river valley are very famous in Croatia. It is mostly about organic production, without pesticides. It's a shame you missed the place where the Neretva enters the sea, it's spectacular. This large blue body of water is not an ocean but a sea, the Adriatic. In Croatia, if you say that the sea is water, everyone knows that you are from the continent, because those who live by the sea always say the sea. I agree that you chose the right way and time to travel in Croatia. When you have a car, you can stop wherever you want and also discover the non-tourist Croatia.
I need the vitamin sea, and as for the beach, I prefer fine sand. Ps maybe this year we will go to Croatia on vacation, "our" Adriatic Sea is beautiful.
The highway hugging the coast, aka "Jadranska Magistrala" is one of the most beautiful roads in the World, I think. Done it several times. Pacific Coast Highway in California, which many people say is gorgeous, doesn't even come close. That said, I love driving across the US, particularly west of the Mississippi. Iowa with its corn fields that as large as some European countries, the wide open land and skies of Nebraska, Wyoming, West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona... One of the most boring drives, on the other hand is a drive from Montreal to Toronto along the 401. Nothing changes for 480 kms, it all looks the same except the traffic gets worse and worse as you get closer to Oshawa. If you ever get a chance, travel inland Croatia. Lots of nice little towns and villages. Take the secondary roads, such as highway D1 rather than the motorway. It's gorgeous. Baška Voda, right next to Brela is beautiful, and has more restaurants than Brela, plus a pretty good beach. Took my wife there when we visited Croatia. She loved it. Unfortunately, she no longer wants to visit Croatia, so we are stuck here in Montreal.
Coast is good, but islands are crown jewels. Any one of them. My favorite ones, Mljet, Lošinj, Lastovo, Rab, Brač, Hvar, Cres, Krk... Enough to keep you interested in for several years.
I definitely prefer pebble beaches to sandy beaches because the sand gets literally everywhere and everything gets dirty from the towel mats to the bottom.🤣

@@Account-br9kcit isnt that most people live outside coastal area its that 1/4 of the country lives in the capital
Yeah but you can't eat the natural beauty. Also, it's very empty in winter.

Tip: NEVER watch these videos if hungry hahahah. Looks lovely, happy for you guys. Lovely weather here in Finland, too.
I prefer Rocky Beach over Sandy Beach anytime!
What a phenomenal expedition! I'm planning on doing the same route. What's the name of the apartment you stayed at? Enjoy the tranquility 🙏🏻
Hi, whats the name of that restaurant?

Answering to myself, but I did great unjustice by not mentioning Vis, Korčula, Šolta, Silba, Iž and many others...
Вітаю 🇺🇦🖐🇺🇦
Hahaha 😊😊😊😊😊😊
what company did you use for your rental car?
Dubrovnik is the most expensive because ALL the Tourists want to go there!
Not fish farm. Its oysters farm
Don't miss Primosten
Steve, that is not eggplant. It’s zucchini!
@6:14 Only Americans do that! Call the Adriatic SEA an Ocean 🤦♂
I definitely prefer pebble beaches to sandy beaches because the sand gets literally everywhere and everything gets dirty from the towel mats to the bottom.🤣
