Ms. Lake, I appreciate running across your video. God knows how to give you what you need! And tonight, I needed your advice. Just today, 3 people that are very close to me, decided to put me down because of who I am and what I stand for. I'm not "special" but I try to be a loving and understanding person. To anyone I come in contact with.I'm often misunderstood but I dont let that stop me! My father taught me to do the best you can, and after you do that, whatever happens is not up to you! #2 Try not to have many regrets. Regrets make you lose focus on whats real in life! And #3 Pleasing God is much better, than pleasing yourself and others. Thanks alot Ms. Lake. I feel better already! Love watching you on tv and your wisdom is outstanding!

Hello Mrs. Lake I am from that, same era that you are from with the plastic on the couch and I incorporated it into my daily life when my children were young no one was allowed in the living room as the children got older and were allowed into the living area I was a single mom and had to work I left my children with my sister in my home she allowed them to do whatever jumping on the furniture eat till one day the furniture broke down I put it on the curb I didn't buy furniture for years to come but, bought back some good childhood memories of the good old days I watch you all the time now I don't watch tv as much I sometimes catch you on my cell phone i have also watch you onthe other show where you were helping women build a business I always thought you were a highly intelligent beautiful woman in powering black women and encouraging women you are re super boss, women strong and assertive thanks for sharing your Your God-given talent with the world stay strong and prayed up will be seeing you soon thanks
