“The MV is based on a famous legend of Vietnam in
the ancient time. The man and the girl on the horses
in the 1st scene were the king and his daughter. And
the young man appeared later was the girl's fiance
(who was the prince of the rival neighboring
country). The king got a magical weapon from the
saintly turtle which was an archery that could create
thousands of arrows at the same time (that's why
you saw many arrows in one scene). Initially, the
father of the young man attacked the kingdom of
the king, but pushed back by the power of the
weapon, so he decided to surrender and set up a
good relationship between 2 kingdoms and sent his
son to the other kingdom to marry to the princess
(but in fact, the son was a spy to try to steal the
weapon). However, he was so fallen in love with the
princess, but he also wanted to fulfil his father's
order. So he stole the weapon and told the girl if she
was in danger and running away, she could give him
a trace to follow which were the feathers in the
videos. Finally, the father of the girl found out that
she betrayed him and his kingdom for her selfish
love, so he decided to kill his own daughter in pain
(that's why you saw the girl was in blood and carried
by her fiance).”

what the MV kinda missed is the part of her headless body turned to jade, the clams those intake her blood cried with pearl, and her husband (not fiance, husband), after carrying her jaden body back to the citadel, was driven mad, and killed himself jumping in to a well.

This was based on a very famous vietnam myth. The woman in the mv is Mi Chau, princess of Au Lac, the kingdom which would later evolve into Vietnam. Her father is king An Duong Vuong (the old man in the mv), and he had a co-operation with a divine turtle called Kim Quy (literally Golden Turtle). The turtle helped him in building Co Loa fortress, which is extremely impenetrable, then gave its claw to the king, which was later used to create a divine crossbow that had helped An Duong Vuong defend against many invasions.
To the northern border, the land which is now south china, there was Trieu Da, a king who had many time tried to invade Au Lac. Since he couldn't penetrate Co Loa fortress and the divine crossbow is impossible to defend against, he had to use the last resort, which was sending a spy into An Duong Vuong's place. He pretended to make peace with An Duong Vuong and proposed a political marriage between Mi Chau and his son, prince Trong Thuy (the young guy in the mv). Trong Thuy always kept his mind in his spy duty, which was to steal the divine crossbow for his father, so he convinced Mi Chau to reveal the place where An Duong Vuong hid the weapon. The weapon was stolen, Au Lac fell into the domination of Trong Thuy, and An Duong Vuong had no other choice but to take Mi Chau on an escape on horseback. However, Mi Chau really loved Trong Thuy and she wanted him to be able to find her again, so she picked the goose feather on her dress and dropped it along the escape route so Trong Thuy could track it. However, as soon as An Duong Vuong reached the edge of the water and prayed to the god, Kim Quy appeared again and said "The enemy is right behind you". An Duong Vuong took out his sword and slained her daughter. Before she died, Mi Chau said that if she really intend to betray her father, she would turn into dust after death, if she was innocent and was manipulated into betrayal, she would turn into precious gemstone. She died by the shore, and the blood from her wound poured down into the water, forming pearl within any shellfish that ate it. An Duong Vuong then was welcomed by Kim Quy into the water.
Trieu Da's army arrived by the water, but couldn't find anything except for Mi Chau's body. Trong Thuy took her back to Co Loa fortress, where her remains turned into emerald. Trong Thuy were extremely in grief for his wife that he had an illusion while taking a bath and jumped into the well to his death. It is told that pearl from the ocean if rinsed with this well's water would become much shinier and purer.

Its a old story about: The King have a "magic crossbow" - with one shot got has 1000 arrow. So prince ask his wife - princess (the king daughter) if he can see how "magic crossbow" work. Then he break down it and replacing it with a fake :( The citadel at last was occupied, the King and his dear daughter ran away to the South (open the MV). The Princess remembered what she had told to her husband before they separated, so she took the fur coat along with her and marked the way with fur. The King woke up to reality, acknowledging that the enemy is his dear daughter. He drew sword out and cut off his daughter’s head then jumped into the water. Prince at that time followed the mark and found his wife’s dead body, he burst out crying and buried her in the citadel. Finally, he jumped into the well where his wife usually washed her hair.
Music video is about The princess' soul appears in the moonlight to see her husband :((

The story was inspired by the Vietnamese legendary story of “A princess who speading goose feathers” forces in 179 BCE. The story revolves around MeiZhu - the daughter of ShuPan (also known as the AnYang King - he’s the king and founder of OuLuo - Vietnam’s original nation). MeiZhu was married to Zhao ZhongShi (the Nanyue’s prince - Nanyue was the northern neighbour country of Vietnam at the time, now it is a part of China).
Vietnam’s ancient name was OuLuo, a few years after the marriage, OuLuo and Nanyue were drawn into a war, due to some critical army information leaks OuLuo was defeated. ShuPan and MeiZhu fled and committed suicide. Legend has it, when they were on the run to a safer shelter, ShuPan noticed how quickly the Nanyue’s army got closed to them, after that he figured out that MeiZhou had been leaving the trace by spreading the goose feather for the whole time, he exposed her when they arrived at a river and she confessed she left the goose feather so that her husband Zhao ZhongShi could trace her, she was convinced and promised by ZhaoZhongShi he would take care of them after he won over the country. She also admitted that she was the one who revealed the OuLuo’s army secret to Zhao ZhongShi. ShuPan flew into a fit of rage and executed her for being the traitor, then he also killed himself.
In today's cultural awareness, MeiZhu is often seen as a female figure that destroys a large fortune and leaves serious consequences. However, many sympathize with MeiZhu for being the victim of a political scheme.
Just my opinion, you don't need to convert all character names into Chinese spelling. It's a Vietnamese story, names should be in Vietnamese

It's a really sad love story. It's not completely history. Maybe it's fictional and is a way to warn about wrong love that can destroy a whole nation when you put your heart on your head.

Cũng khó bạn ơi. Mình thấy bài này hay ở chỗ lời bài hát, nó hay kiểu thơ và ma mị. Nhưng mình đọc sub tiếng anh thì thấy nó ko truyền tải được hết cái hay của lời bài hát.
Và phần hình ảnh của MV quá đẹp quá cuốn, xem lần đầu sẽ khó rời mắt khỏi hình ảnh để tập trung vào bài hát lắm.

Hồi xưa khi đến tiết học về truyền thuyết này mình đã thấy k thích Mị Châu rồi mặt dù khi ấy còn rất nhỏ có biết yêu là gì đâu, đến giờ lớn rồi mình lại thấy ghét nhân vật này dù mình là con gái nhưng mình k thể nào đồng tình được với tình yêu và sự tin tưởng bất chấp của Mị Châu dành cho Trọng Thủy, vì 1 tình yêu mù quáng mà khiến cả đất nước và cha mình phải chịu đau đớn. Đối với mình tình yêu cần lý trí hơn là những cái lãng mạng xa vời
