- Did I succeed in hitting 100kph with the stock system?
All I did change was the pinion, it now has a 24t pinion but I need to mod the motor mount to fit it, I also used GRP wheels for a bit more control as this truck is quite unstable😖
It will be going back to stock gearing and wheels after this run so fingers crossed🤞
First attempt with mods, 20t pinion and a centre brace and DIY 6061 brace to stiffen the motor mount.

Oh so close man, I think if you had a set of 1/8 foams and maybe a higher Discharge lipo you'd get there. Those tyres seem a bit too slick, was spinning out easy. Good runs man 👍🍻
Yeah I really thought maxing out the pinion would've done it🤔
The higher C rated lipo would be the answer I think yes👌
These GRP wheels though, I just didn't warm them up before starting, they actually went like glue ones warm😯 full on race wheels but I didn't realise😅

I think higher C lipos would get a little over 100kph, I may get some super duper lipos one day and try again😅

Mines stays nice and straight , but I changed the radio gear and servo , you'll get to 100kph easy
I did mention it in the vid but I put the biggest pinion possible (24t) plus had to mod the motor mount as much as possible to fit it.
So the only way I could get faster speeds with stock electronics is bigger wheels or higher C rated lipos.
That'll have to wait though, no funds again for a while😅🤦
Servo may help stability but not speed, it was pinned for a good 5 second on the final run.
U got to get it lower to the ground change shock position needs a wing ,thicker diff fluids foams 17mm tires sway bars also avc or tsm on your remote or gyro for better control, if these things isn't done forget speed runs just bash much love👊

I did lower it at the front by 10mm, put 80k oil in the front diff and the GRP wheels just needed a warm-up, I didn't realise🤦
The shocks seem ok but swaybars I would imagine help a lot!
I don't use gyros though, can't stand them actually☺
Personally I doesn't feel like I'm bettering my skills using a gyro or perfect pass type devices, I know some people need help though.

@@rccrazy 100k F/R ,500k center also the rear needs lowering plus a wing is a must & if u going to use the stock body side skirts will be needed to keep the wind down.much love brother happy holidays 👊
As I said in the vid, my main goal was only 100kph but using the stock electronics, gearing is maxed out and I did manage full throttle for a good 4-5sec a few times so I honestly think higher C rated lipos would get me there.
I think I'll just leave it as a basher and concentrate on my real speedcars for speedruns.
Please don't take it personally, I absolutely agree with all your solutions, im sure I'll convert it back one day then I'll need your help probably😅

Try foam tires, they hook up good and you should get higher speed.
Yeah I was thinking of some foams but the prices are crazy for 1/8 foams🤯
I just spent all my money on upgrade and replacement parts🤦😅

Id imagine it would be possible but a huge job and just over gearing is no good, just made it lag like mad so it's just a basher now.

Personally I'm not much of a drag car person but I'd imagine the wheels would be similar to speedruns🤷♂️
Iv not herd of that brand until now but my Flux R is very unstable, not sure why

Hey mate, all I did was file out the mount holes(the slide holes) using a 4mm round file.
No picture sorry, sold this quite a while ago.

Yes they are horrible, I've had hoons on it for a while just don't get it out much.
