Vox Vintage Coil Cable: amzn.to/3Yo92bL
Fender Deluxe Cable: amzn.to/3DGbVN9
Dap Audio FL103: bit.ly/3Y678g0
In this video im testing different types of cables and see how they sound how practical are for home recording use,
the dap audio cable is a budget basic cable the Fender is better for live shows becase is very tight and can be tangled
and the Vox is the best choice because its not tangled and its haves warm sound that absorves the high frequenies of single coil pickups and provides great shielding.

Wow! In this case there is a huge difference between Fender and VOX cables. Thanks a lot!
I play a stingray bass with a pick. The Vox cable warms up the sound and decreases pick noise.
good to hear, i use the vox cable with my jazzmaster guitar because have massive bright single coil pickups also sounds more warm and natural
I'm listening to this on my studio monitors and I wasn't expecting to hear any difference but the Vox coiled cable is just a darker sounding cable. The Fender Deluxe sounds the best to my ears but I must admit that I do have a bias because I already use Fender Deluxe and watched this video because I think the vox cable looks cool and I wanted to see a shootout. Thanks for doing this as it saved me some cash.
Yes the Vox haves more dark "warm" sound from these three, im not shure is the brightest means better i tried another cheaper cable that was the brightest from all those and when you use it in Amplitube or amp is anoying its picking up all finger sounds, i think the Fender is normal and for more hard use and ideal if you have humbucker pickups, the Vox in my case with massive Jazzmaster single coil and 1MEG pots is the best choise, i have use for years another Vox cable the VGC-13BK and it was similar tone and i think Fender inspired from this to make the Deluxe, i just found a video from a guy talking about the same subject ua-cam.com/video/t0QO64gsx_w/v-deo.html
@@StamatisStabos A cable can only be "warmer" if it is adding capacitance. The Vox cable is longer than the Fender cable that you tested so that is one possibility for the loss of high end material. Cables can not add anything - they can only subtract which means that the Vox cables subtract signal due to their contruction.
The Fender sounds best to me. Disappointed by the VOX. Fender makes a 30 foot coiled tweed deluxe in many colors. I'm a beginner guitar player and Fender will be my choice.
The first two cables sound pretty much the same to me on my iPad. The Vox cable sounds cleaner to me for some reason! I like it.
@@garywinters2282I like the Vox. It sounds cleaner to me.
Nice review.. Would it be same with bass guitar? For example in this video, I will definitely go for Fender if I play elec guitar for the good extra definition/detail. But if I play bass I may not need that detail so maybe the Vox? since it sounds darker (I’m not saying bad, just tone quality). Thanks!
the longer the cable, the greater the capacitance. the exact same thing as rolling the tone knob down (which employs a capacitor to roll off highs)
I am using a Prs mc carty 594 , which goes with a Fender original series cable into a TC electronic forcefield compressor to the Boss NS-2 dialed to a Walrus audio Slotva directly to my UAD volt 2 ( gain to 9-10 o clock ) to my macbook pro 19 ( Battery powered) . I am using the caline 206 isolated as for my pedal power supply. Despite using all these things i am still getting some interference and bit of mid to high end humming (minimal around -60db of constant noise floor peaking around -50 /-40db but audible).
The buzz completely stops whenever I touch my cable sleeve , strings , pickups and it gets somewhat low but still audible whenever I move to a certain position However ,that’s impractical for me to stay in that position every time I play cause it starts buzzing again with every inch I move.
I am opting for a noiseless clean tone but this is disturbing me.
Maybe this fender deluxe cable might help or not?
Please help!
Hi, i have in the past that problem with my jazzmaster that haves massive single coil noise, a little noise buzz its normal, the best cable is mogami but its expensive i have tried the VOX vgc13 cable similar to fender and those make a little improvement, there many solutions, not be to close with your guitar in your computer or other electrical devices, shield the inside of the guitar with copper tape, final solution inside your DAW guitar track use the NS1 plugin by waves, i have made a video check it: ua-cam.com/video/xVDtuhkD-xo/v-deo.htmlsi=grtTdPhr2-q4HWoc
Thanks for the test, without a doubt now, Fender is Fender..
Yes Fender is very good cable and will last longer
thanks for this demo
Fender leads suck. Always break.
I've been using them for 4 years 2/3 nights a week' never had any problems with them.
