My ribbon comes out in a different direction after the roll.. like that fold isn't there anymore

Hello Brittany, while making this flower I wrap it round clockwise and after a full wrap (keeping a tight grip on the stem) I stitched it to keep it together. As with everything sometimes we have to try it a couple of times to get it right hope that helps, there is another flower I have done, m.ua-cam.com/video/MRckBcBSwgo/v-deo.html here is the link to the video, have a look, and within 2-3 weeks I will try to put up a few more ribbon flower tutorials
